Abstract

Rock climbing and hiking are outdoor activities that continue to gain popularity among various age groups. However, not all enthusiasts are fully equipped or prepared with the necessary gear. Renting hiking equipment becomes a practical and cost-effective alternative for climbers, especially beginners. Unfortunately, many rental service providers still rely on manual systems, which often lead to inefficiencies such as booking errors, lack of real-time inventory updates, and delays in transaction processing. This study aims to design and develop a web-based information system for renting hiking equipment at Summit Kalcer, using the Waterfall method. The system is designed to address the shortcomings of manual processes by providing real-time information on equipment availability, streamlining the booking process, and enabling admin validation after payment confirmation. The Waterfall approach includes several sequential stages: requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance. The resulting web-based system allows users to rent equipment flexibly, anytime and anywhere, without the need to visit the rental location physically. Customers can browse available tools, make reservations, and upload payment proof through an intuitive interface. On the administrative side, the system supports efficient data management and transaction verification, thereby reducing the risk of human error and enhancing overall service quality. By implementing this system, Summit Kalcer can improve its service efficiency, customer satisfaction, and operational productivity. This research demonstrates that digitalizing the rental process not only improves convenience for users but also provides a scalable solution for rental businesses looking to adapt to modern technological demands.

Abstract

The development of information technology has driven digital transformation in various sectors, including the catering industry. As public awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle increases, the need for practical, fast, and reliable healthy catering services is growing. Healthier consumption patterns have become a priority for many individuals, however, many catering service providers still rely on traditional ordering systems, such as by telephone or manual recording. This results in various problems such as delayed responses, recording errors, difficulties in order management, and inaccuracies in menu and nutritional information. This study aims to develop an integrated web-based healthy catering service system, named FitMeal, designed to address these issues. This system was developed using the Waterfall model method, which includes key stages such as needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. By using this approach, the developed system is expected to run effectively and efficiently. The results show that the developed system can improve efficiency in the ordering process, reduce recording errors, and simplify order management by catering providers. One of the key features of the FitMeal system is its ability to provide menu selection tailored to users' dietary preferences, real-time order tracking, and detailed nutritional information for each menu item. This provides users with transparency regarding the nutritional composition of their meals, supporting their efforts to adopt a more informed, healthy diet. Furthermore, the system allows consumers to order food easily and quickly, anytime and anywhere, through a responsive web platform. Therefore, the development of the FitMeal system is expected to be an effective digital solution for providing more efficient and reliable healthy catering services. Overall, this system has the potential to significantly contribute to improving the quality of life for modern society by facilitating access to healthy food choices.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the workflow of a digital product purchasing system, focusing on the user login process, admin verification, and product access after payment. The system involves three key actors: the buyer, the system, and the admin, each playing a crucial role in ensuring the security and continuity of transactions. The workflow is designed to minimize transaction errors, ensure data validity, and improve operational efficiency and security in managing digital products. The study employs flowcharts and Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams to visually represent the interactions between these actors and the system. The analysis begins with the user login process, where the buyer provides authentication credentials, followed by admin verification to ensure authorized access. Once the payment is processed, the system verifies the transaction and grants the buyer access to the digital product. Each step is mapped using flowcharts to depict the sequential actions and decision points within the system, while UML diagrams provide a more detailed view of system architecture and interactions. The findings reveal that the system is designed to mitigate errors through structured validation and secure data handling, enhancing the overall purchasing experience. Additionally, the admin's role is critical in overseeing transaction approval and ensuring that digital products are accurately delivered. The study highlights the importance of system design in supporting smooth transactions, fostering user trust, and maintaining high levels of security. This analysis is valuable for improving the design and performance of digital product purchasing systems in various e-commerce settings.

Abstract

The development of information technology is driving digital transformation in various sectors, including the food industry. To meet this need, the "Rotiku" website was designed and developed as an online bread ordering solution, especially for small-scale bakeries. This website carries a B2C business model, built using Laravel technology and a MySQL database, and applies a prototyping approach to ensure the system can meet user needs. This website makes it easy for customers to view the product catalog, order bread, and choose digital payment methods such as QRIS, further simplifying transactions. In addition, shop owners and admins are provided with comprehensive features to manage products, monitor orders, and generate real-time sales reports. As part of the system performance evaluation, an analysis was conducted using the PIECES approach, comparing the performance of the website system with the previously used manual method. The analysis results showed significant improvements in several aspects, including system performance, quality of information presented, operational efficiency, and service enhancements. The Rotiku website is expected to improve service quality and customer satisfaction through ease and convenience in ordering, as well as assist shop owners in managing operations more efficiently. With this system, bakeries not only benefit from easier product management and ordering, but also from faster and more accurate sales monitoring. The implementation of the Rotiku website is expected to positively impact the development of small-scale bakeries, improve operational efficiency, and provide a better and more modern shopping experience for customers. This system is an innovative solution that can support bakery business growth and expand market reach digitally. The Rotiku website is expected to improve service quality, operational efficiency, and overall customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This study analyzes the usability and user experience (UX) of the Widya Pratama Institute's Learning Management System (LMS) using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). The background of this study is the crucial role of LMS in contemporary education, where this system is the backbone of the online and hybrid learning process. Learning effectiveness is determined not only by the available content, but also by the ease, comfort, and satisfaction of users when accessing and interacting with the system. Therefore, UX quality is an important indicator for assessing the success of an LMS in supporting teaching and learning activities. The main objective of this study is to determine the extent to which the system meets user expectations and identify areas for improvement. The method used involved a survey of 69 students using 26 standard UEQ questions covering six scales: attractiveness, clarity, efficiency, absorption, stimulation, and novelty. The data obtained were tested for validity and reliability, then compared with global UEQ benchmarks to objectively assess the LMS's position. Key findings indicate that the LMS is highly efficient and reliable in terms of technical functionality and accessibility. However, low scores were found for attractiveness, interface brightness, interaction stimulation, and innovation (novelty), which are crucial for shaping positive user perceptions. Lack of visual appeal, limited personalization, and a monotonous experience discourage students from engaging more deeply. These findings highlight the urgent need to update visual elements, increase interactivity, and introduce innovative features that enhance user curiosity and enjoyment. Furthermore, improved documentation and user guides are needed to enable new users to quickly and easily grasp LMS functionality.

Abstract

This report presents the design and development of a web-based e-commerce platform named "Jawa Furnitur," aimed at addressing various challenges in the furniture sales industry. The background of this project is driven by the growing demand for furniture and the limitations of conventional business models that still rely on offline marketing and manual transactions. These traditional models are no longer sufficient to meet the increasing market needs, thus requiring a more efficient and effective digital solution. In this context, the developed system is designed to facilitate online sales of new furniture, providing an integrated solution that helps sellers manage inventory, process transactions, and expand their market reach. The "Jawa Furnitur" platform is designed with a user-friendly interface, making it easy to use for both sellers and buyers. Efficient product search features, secure payment system integration, and well-managed shipping processes ensure a pleasant shopping experience. This system allows sellers to manage their products in real-time and provide accurate and up-to-date information to customers. By utilizing digital technology, transactions can be processed faster and securely, helping to increase customer satisfaction. The primary goal of developing the "Jawa Furnitur" platform is to improve operational efficiency for sellers, expand market segmentation, and support the B2C (Business to Customer) business model. It is expected that this platform will make a significant contribution to the digital transformation of the furniture retail sector, particularly for SMEs, by providing a practical and systematic means for transacting and interacting with customers. With this platform, small and medium-sized businesses can grow rapidly, introduce their products to a broader market, and accelerate the buying and selling process in the increasingly competitive furniture industry.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) are Islamic educational institutions that emphasize discipline in the daily lives of their students. However, the manual recording and evaluation of violations makes it difficult for administrators to conduct systematic analysis. This study aims to apply data mining methods, specifically the Decision Tree algorithm, to analyze student violation data for effective classification. Violation data is grouped into three categories: minor, moderate, and severe violations. A classification model is built through entropy and information gain calculations to determine the best attributes to serve as the initial nodes in the decision tree structure. The attributes used in the model include violation points, violation types, and dormitories. The results show that the Decision Tree algorithm is able to identify violation categories with excellent performance. In the minor category, the model achieved a precision of 0.99, a recall of 1.00, and an f1-score of 1.00. For the moderate category, the model achieved a precision of 0.94, a recall of 1.00, and an f1-score of 0.97, indicating that the model is able to recognize violations with a high level of accuracy and consistency. Meanwhile, in the severe category, the model demonstrated perfect precision of 1.00, recall of 0.87, and f1-score of 0.93. Overall, the model achieved 98% accuracy based on the confusion matrix evaluation, indicating that most of the data was correctly classified. The decision tree visualization also showed that the violation point, type of violation, and dormitory location were the main factors in the classification process. These results demonstrate that a data mining approach can be used to support data-driven decision-making in student guidance.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has encouraged organizations to adopt a data-driven decision-making (DDDM) approach as a primary strategy for maintaining competitiveness amidst a complex and dynamic business landscape. This approach enables more accurate, faster, and fact-based decision-making, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of business strategies. This article aims to formulate a conceptual framework that facilitates the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the digital business strategy formulation process. This research uses a qualitative approach through a thematic content analysis of reputable scientific literature published between 2019 and 2024. The results of the study indicate that AI plays a strategic role in improving operational efficiency, driving innovation, and strengthening organizational responsiveness to rapid changes in the external environment. AI functions not only as a data analysis tool but also as a driver of business model transformation through predictive capabilities, process automation, and service personalization. However, the successful integration of AI into DDDM is inseparable from several important prerequisites. Key determining factors include adequate digital infrastructure readiness, visionary leadership capable of guiding strategic change, and competent human resources who understand both the technical aspects and strategic implications of AI. On the other hand, challenges faced include organizational cultural resistance to the adoption of new technologies, low data quality and completeness, and a digital skills gap among employees. The conceptual framework proposed in this article maps the linkages between organizational capabilities, AI-enhanced DDDM mechanisms, and the achievement of strategic objectives. This framework is designed to assist organizations in systematically planning, implementing, and evaluating AI integration initiatives. Furthermore, this article provides practical recommendations for business stakeholders in Indonesia, including the importance of investing in digital infrastructure, developing human resource competencies, and establishing an organizational culture that is adaptive to technological innovation.

Abstract

This study aims to design and implement a website-based financial information system to support the digital transformation process at PT. Gilang Arthajaya Abadi. The background of this study stems from the problem of managing financial transactions that are still carried out manually without the support of a computerized system, resulting in obstacles in data retrieval, the risk of information loss, and difficulties in recapitulating transaction data. To overcome these problems, this study uses the waterfall system development method which has a structured and sequential approach, including the stages of needs analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. This method was chosen because the system requirements have been clearly defined from the beginning, thus minimizing the possibility of changes during the development process. The system design was carried out using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) to visualize the needs and process flow, while the technologies used include PHP as a programming language, MySQL as a database, and the Laravel framework to support the development of an efficient, structured, and easily developed system in the future. The resulting system is able to facilitate the recording of financial transactions in a more structured manner, increase data accuracy, minimize the risk of information loss due to human error, and accelerate the process of searching and creating financial reports. Test results indicate that all developed features, such as transaction recording, data management, and report generation, function well according to user needs. Implementation of this system is expected to improve the company's operational efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and serve as the first step in building an integrated digital ecosystem at PT. Gilang Arthajaya Abadi. This research also opens up opportunities for further development, such as integration with online payment systems and big data-based financial analytics to support the company's strategic decision-making.

Abstract

Visual-based social media platforms like Instagram have given rise to the phenomenon of beauty privilege, which refers to the social and professional advantages gained by individuals with attractive appearances. This study aims to examine the influence of appearance indicators within the beauty privilege variable on the career success of the influencer Malaikha Dayanara. The research uses a quantitative method with a survey approach. Data were collected through an online questionnaire filled out by 100 active followers of Malaikha’s Instagram account, using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted through validity testing, reliability testing, and partial t-test using statistical software. The results indicate that appearance indicators significantly influence the perception of career success, particularly in terms of increasing audience trust, personal branding, and attractiveness to brand collaboration opportunities. Physical appearance has proven to be a dominant factor in shaping a professional image and influencing public engagement with an influencer. These findings emphasize the crucial role of visual elements in building career success in the digital era. Visual appeal is not just about aesthetics but is an integral part of an effective communication strategy within the social media industry. Influencers with attractive appearances tend to have greater opportunities to expand their audience and attract brand attention. This shows that appearance plays a significant role in not only supporting digital success but also influencing the perception of professionalism and the ability to establish connections with the audience. Thus, physical appearance has become an essential element in creating a personal image that can influence career success, especially in a world increasingly dominated by visual-based platforms like Instagram. These findings offer insights into how appearance has become a strategic factor in achieving career success in the digital age.
