Abstract

Abstrac- This research is motivated by the low mathematical communication skills of students. Students have difficulty in expressing problems into mathematical notation and performing arithmetic operations and re-expressing mathematical descriptions. This is related to the students' numerical ability. Therefore, this study aims to describe students' mathematical communication skills in terms of high, medium and low numerical abilities. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in this study were students of class X IPA-1 SMA N 1 Kec. Lareh Sago Halaban which consists of 6 students with 2 students each with high, medium and low numerical abilities. The instruments used in collecting data in this study include the researcher as the main instrument, and supporting instruments in the form of numerical ability tests, tests of students' mathematical communication skills and interview guidelines, with data collection techniques carried out by tests and interviews. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman concept, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Checking the validity of the data used is triangulation technique. The results showed that subjects with high numerical abilities were easier to interpret and communicate mathematical ideas and ideas. Subjects with moderate numerical ability tend to be less capable and have little difficulty in interpreting and communicating mathematical ideas. And subjects with low numerical ability tend to be unable to interpret and communicate mathematical ideas.

Abstract

This research has the aims to explain about the understanding of students mathematical concepts on set topic. This research is a descriptive research whose population is 7th grade students with a sample of 94 students. The instrument used in this research is a test question regarding the set material which contains indicators of mathematics conceptual understanding. The result of the test analysis show that as many as of students with exellent concept understanding, of students with good concept category, of students with sufficient category, of students with low concept criteria, and of students with most low concept understanding criteria.

Abstract

In everyday life, mathematics plays an important role, both as a tool, language, mindset, and knowledge, such as numeration systems, currency exchange tools, and so on. Therefore, we should know the role or position of mathematics in human civilization. The selected research is qualitative with a case study method. Two students were selected to be research subjects from five classes in the mathematics education study program. The instrument used in this study was an open interview. Each student is asked questions about their knowledge of the position of mathematics in human civilization. The data analysis used in this research is thematic analysis. The results showed that there were four categories of how mathematics education students responded to the position of mathematics in civilization. The categories are theoretical history student, religious history student, contextual history student, and scientific history student. The four categories will be described in detail in this paper.

Abstract

An investment choice is a dividend policy. Either the company's gains will be given to shareholders as dividends, or they will be maintained as earnings to finance future investments. The dividend payout ratio and dividend yield are the dividend policy indicators utilised in this study. This study seeks to examine the impact of dividend payout ratio (DPR) and dividend yield on the stock prices of LQ-45 businesses listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Multiple linear regression analysis is employed. The results indicated that the dividend payout ratio and dividend yield had no effect on the stock prices of the LQ-45 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. According to multiple linear regression analysis results, obtained sig value (0.606) > α (0.05).

Abstract

The Yellow virus is a virus that causes tomato plants to die. The insect vector Bemisia tabaci spreads this virus. The goal of this study is to identify the shape of a mathematical model of the influence of yellow virus on tomato plants via the insect Bemisia tabaci and the fungus Verticilliun lecanii, as well as to interpret the results of the mathematical model analysis. This is referred to as basic research. This study employs a descriptive method in which theories are analysed in relation to the topics to be discussed, and these theories are based on a literature review. Stability analysis is carried out using Routh-Hurwitz criteria. It indicates that the disease-free equilibrium point is asymptotically stable when Λt=μtN and the endemic equilibrium point is asymptotically stable for d1>e1, d2>e2 and a1>(a1)2+(a3)2a0)/(a3a2 ). The model simulation shows that if the efficacy of Verticillium lecanii is high, the population of infected tomato plants, as well as the population of Bemisia tabaci, will go extinct.

Abstract

The research is a research and development that purpose to produce Powtoon animation video learning media on circle material. In addition, this study purpose to determine the validity and practicality of Powtoon animation video learning media on circle material. The development model used is the Plomp model. This learning media was created using the Powtoon application. The instruments used are validity sheets, practicality questionnaires, and interview guidelines to determine the validity and practicality of learning media. Based on the validation results on the development of Powtoon animation video learning media, the percentage is 86,31%. While the results of the practicality of teacher and students obtained a percentage of 93,2%. Thus, the Powtoon animation video learning media on the circle material is declared to be very valid dan very practical to use in learning.
