Abstract

Ecosystem is an ecological system formed by an inseparable interrelationship between living things and their environment. Ecosystem can also be said as a whole and comprehensive order of unity among all elements of the environment that influence each other. Ecology is the science of the interrelationships between living things with each other and with non-living things around them. This writing is intended to find out clear information about the ecological relationship with the environment and proper conservation of the environment. The discourse on environmental conservation has become an actual issue amid the threat of the global environmental crisis. Because the environmental crisis is considered to be the biggest problem of this century which has an impact on the inhabitants of the present world and future generations. Experts have mapped that the environmental crisis has caused various disasters, climate change, global warming, reduced quality of life and the threat of future destruction of the earth. Therefore, people throughout the world continue to look for joint solutions to overcome this crisis. Formulating environmental conservation from the point of view of the current situation is important. Therefore based on the science of environmental conservation ecology is very influential on each other.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the diversity of herbaceous plants with medicinal potential and the use of plants as learning media in the form of flipbooks. This type of research is ecological research with a quantitative approach. Based on the research results, it is known that the diversity of herbaceous plants in the Kambata Tana river is classified as moderate with an H'= 2.212. Analysis of other ecological indices such as density is known to be the largest density by Stachytarpheta jamaicensis with a relative density (KR) value of 19.5% while the smallest density is by Amaranthus spinosus which has a relative density (KR) value of 2.2%, the highest species frequency is owned by Stachytarpheta jamaicensis which has a relative frequency value of 8.73% while Amaranthus spinosus has the smallest species frequency with a relative frequency value of 0.48% and a dominance index of herbaceous plants with medicinal potential of 0.061 which is relatively low. The diversity of herbaceous plants with medicinal potential is used as a learning medium in the form of flipbooks which obtain an average validation value of 96% and are classified as very valid.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the implementation of Physics Laboratory Standards at SMA Negeri 5 Jember. The research method used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative approach. Data collection was done through questionnaires and interviews with the head of the laboratory and also with physics teachers. In addition, data collection is also through direct laboratory observation, interviews through the head of the laboratory assistant, and document analysis such as guidebooks and the use of tools and materials in the laboratory. In this study, the results showed that the infrastructure facilities in the laboratory showed an average percentage of 90% with a very good classification. The results of standardization for tools and materials got an average of 68% with a good classification. Furthermore, the standardization of laboratory personnel with a very good classification on average 90%. In the standardization of security, maintenance and supervision of the laboratory gets an average percentage of 91% with a very good classification. The last is the standardization of services gets an average percentage of 100% with a very good classification. Overall, the laboratory at Jember 5 Public School has good standardization, but there is a need to improve the quality of these laboratory facilities so that they can support the learning process better.

Abstract

The problem that emerged in this study was the low activity and critical thinking skills of students in Natural Sciences content which resulted in not maximizing learning outcomes. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in 3 meetings. The method used was qualitative, the research subjects were class IVB students at SDN Murung Raya 4 Banjarmasin, totaling 16 people, consisting of 8 male students and 8 female students in semester II of the 2022/2023 academic year. The results showed that the activity of educators increased in each meeting until the indicator of success reached a score of 31 with the criteria "Very Good", the activity of students increased in each meeting until it reached a score of 88% with the criteria "Very Active", critical thinking skills increased in each meeting until it reached a score 88% with the criterion "Almost all very high", and students' learning outcomes classically get a score of up to 100% at meeting 3. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the use of the POTENSI model can increase activity, critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes SDN Murung Raya 4 Banjarmasin.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the potential of wind energy as a resource for Wind Turbine Power Plants (PLTB) in the coastal area of Watu Ulo Beach, Jember. The research adopts a literature review method, utilizing data provided by the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG). BMKG data serves as the primary source for this analysis, providing a robust foundation to evaluate the potential of PLTB. The study also focuses on the availability of state-of-the-art technology to optimize the utilization of wind energy, assessing its suitability for the region's characteristics. The research findings are expected to provide a comprehensive overview of the PLTB potential in Watu Ulo Beach, Jember, serving as a basis for the development of sustainable energy infrastructure in coastal areas. The conclusions drawn from this literature review are anticipated to serve as a reference for further research and the implementation of sustainable PLTB projects in the region.

consider other things such as avoiding the same or repeated schedules in one day, the number of teaching staff involved, and practicum subjects which in their implementation require a laboratory. The subject scheduling process at SMK Negeri 1 Tambolaka City is still carried out manually by Deputy Head 1 for the curriculum field, who currently uses Microsoft Excel software, which has the potential for errors and often requires correction before the schedule is implemented. Because the subject scheduling process is very important, a solution is needed in making subject schedules. Therefore, this research aims to optimize course schedules by applying a genetic algorithm to the course scheduling application. In this research, the process of preparing rosters for applied subjects was carried out at school using a web-based genetic algorithm method so that schedule collisions did not occur and the process was more optimal. In the experiment, the results of this subject scheduling application system consisted of several forms and menus, including a login form, department data menu, subject data, class data, teachers, hour ranges, special schedules, and the scheduling menu. Creating a teacher's teaching schedule using a genetic algorithm can produce a schedule automatically and systematically, thereby displaying the schedule for the day and time of each teacher's teaching schedule. The application of genetic algorithms in scheduling teacher teaching at SMK Negeri 1 Tambolaka City is a very optimal solution for scheduling, so that the possibility of similarities in the same teacher's teaching time and hours is very small.

Abstract

Global warming is an increase in global temperature at the Earth's surface (within several thousand kilometers) compared to the normal/average value recorded over a standard period (World Meteorological Organization/WMO measurements: at least 30 years). Global warming is one of the impacts caused by the greenhouse effect. The greenhouse effect is a condition where the surface temperature of a celestial body, such as a planet or star, increases rapidly. This increase in temperature is caused by changes in the composition and conditions of the atmosphere around the object. The greenhouse effect can be caused by human activities and can occur naturally due to natural events such as forest burning due to a prolonged dry season. Basically, the greenhouse effect is very difficult to overcome, but we can reduce the greenhouse effect by using environmentally friendly energy such as renewable energy. With the rapid development of technology in this modern era, there are many renewable technologies that can be developed and utilized. This analysis aims to determine the process, causes and consequences of the greenhouse effect as well as the development and use of renewable energy technology to overcome the greenhouse effect.

Abstract

The purpose of this article research is to determine the potential of wind on the coast to produce electrical energy. Wind can be interpreted as air that moves due to temperature differences, both are hot temperatures and cold temperatures. The need for energy, especially electrical energy, in Indonesia is increasing and becoming an inseparable part of society's daily needs. From this background and problem formulation, a research study was carried out which focused on wind energy sources on the coast.

Abstract

Solar energy is an alternative energy source that is environmentally friendly and has great potential to be utilized in Indonesia. However, the use of solar energy is still limited, especially in rural areas which have limited infrastructure and access to electricity. This research aims to analyze the use of 100 WP polycrystalline solar panels as an alternative energy source to improve the welfare of rural communities in Indonesia. The research method used is literature review, namely by examining and criticizing various reference sources that are relevant to the research topic. The data collected includes secondary data, which was analyzed using content analysis, comparative analysis and synthesis analysis techniques. The research results show that the use of 100 WP polycrystalline solar panels can provide benefits for rural communities, including: (1) increasing the availability and quality of electricity, (2) saving costs on fossil fuels (3) reducing greenhouse gas emissions, (4) improve the quality of life and public health. This research recommends that the use of 100 wp polycrystalline solar panels can be expanded and improved in other rural areas in Indonesia, taking into account technical, economic, social and environmental aspects.
