Abstract

This paper tries to elaborate how the role of youth of NU in Indonesia Islamic thought. The main focus of this paper is the intellectual tradition young generation of NU The 2000s constitute the years where the youth of NU stay in everywhere and influenced the life of Indonesia intellectuality. The writer argues that there are some factors in the genealogy of their thought: First, Islamic boarding school as the central of intellectual tradition of NU; Second, the NGO's working; Three, the scientific networking from Egypt Four, The State Institute of Islamic Studies (IAIN) as the place that did not make their intellectual satisfactory. They look for the other activity; Five, the influence of contemporary Islamic thought whose tends radically and left; Six, the relation with the Indonesians; Seven, the figure of Gus Dur as the protector for them in their liberal idea.

Abstract

In this article, the writer tries to explain the historicity of political system formulation and government in Singapore. Besides, the writer also explores the religion role in establishing state institution. Moreover, the writer specifies that social structure of Singapore society-the multiracial country with the majority of Chinese immigrant have been working out nationalism awareness. The political social interaction based on ethnic and religious sentiment had crystallized and ended by separation of Singapore from Malaysia federation, as a free country based on industry and trade. In many sectors, the sake of Singaporean Moslems is accommodated. The accommodated Moslems' aspiration is along with the improvement of Moslems awareness of the important of formal institution to accommodate their aspiration. However, Islam is still paced as a distrustful movement.

Abstract

The change of value currency had been the serious attention by the classical fiqh experts. Therefore, there are many different opinions about that, not only between mazhab to another, but also in the circle of one mazhab. The best interesting, the ulama not only connectedthe change ofvalue currency with transaction ofsale andpurchase, lease, loan, salary and other bussiness transactions, but also with zakah, family responsible, and diyat in the criminal cases also the minimal limit (counting) of the thief good value made the man cut his hand. The difference happened in this context, actually showed how the fiqh experts searched the transaction consequences in crisis condition in order one to another not make lose each other and finally may create the justice that one of the spirit of Islamic economy.

Abstract

This paper is a sorrow reflection of writer toward the paradox reality of Indonesian people, which in one hand known as the religious society, granted by God the beautiful and wealth nature, but in other hand it was treated by greedy and corruptedbureaucracy. The big question of writer, why it happened, the religious Indonesian people couldn't look after the motherland of Indonesia, founded by the sacrifice of founding fathers of this nation? Actually, the writer argues that the religious quality ought to seem on moral quality in relation with among people, the universe, and God. It does not belong to this nation yet. Therefore, according to the writer, the struggle for that must always be done in order to the heart and the common sense. become the safer of this nation.

Abstract

Islamic economic system has divinity and humanity moral character. Islam has an economic system which applies resources given by Allah to meet the basic needs of human and gives them good life. Based on this view, the writer stresses that Islamic economic system needs to be fulfilled by human dimension in all fields of economic such as production, consumption, distribution, and circulation. On this frame, this article tries to identify the application of humanity principles into Islamic economic system related to activities in production, consumption, distribution, and circulation field.

Abstract

This paper aims to picture the Indonesia economy policy in perspective of Islamic economy concept. First, the writer describes historically the relation between economy and politic which then present the world economy systems. In Indonesia context, the system of economy which formulated was different with the other world economy system such as liberalism and mercantilism. The system economy of Indonesia, known as the Pancasila economy system stand between both of them. According to the writer, the Indonesia economy system has the same goal with the basic concept of Islamic economy that to create the social justice. The problem is that the basic concept of Indonesia economy often had the multi-faces when implemented in the reality.

Abstract

This paper tries to study the history of Islamic banking in Indonesia, which has been developing fastly today. With assumption that there is an unseparated relation between economic development and political factor, the writer argues that the presence of Islamic banking in Indonesia couldn’t be separated with the change of New Order policy which firstly was antipathy toward Indonesian moslem then became more accommodated to them. The change of this policy ass for the writer caused besides by the need of supporting from Indonesian moslem to the New Order Regime for the balance of the less of military support, also for the awakening of santri's elite that add the bargaining position of their power vis-a-vis the government.

Abstract

Islamic economics system becomes more popular currently not only in Moslem states but also those of western. In Indonesia, the development of thought regarding the urgent need to apply economics system based on syariah is emerged at 1974. Until year 2004, the quantities of Islamic banking in Indonesia grow rapidly. But the Islamic banking system growth needs to be supported by the growth of quality system of Islamic banking. To develop syariah banking in Indonesia in the future needs to advance new strategies, beside to pay attention to spiritual market (Moslems), and also to offer the products of syariah banking to floating market, for instances to non-moslem at all provinces in Indonesia. So the benefits of syariah banking will be served not only by Moslems but also by whole Indonesian people.

Abstract

This paper is the resume of a research which aimed to know the professionalism of BMT people in Yogyakarta city and Sleman regency. The type of the research is the qualitative which collected the data with questioner, depth interview and library research. As the qualitative research, the analysis data acted simultaneous with collecting the data, interpretation, and writing the research result. As the results that the interpretation of professionalism by many BMT people tends practically. The professionalism explained in the context of service quality given by BMT to its customers. Mean, the biggest professionalism measure is in service quality.
