Abstract

 The main purpose of this research is to examine the availability profit management in scheme of iPO. In addition to this, the influence of the profit management on share return and also the influence of the sophistication of investor and the quality of auditor in the moderation of the relation between profit management before iPO and share return.Based on the selecteed samples, 38 companies which has undertake IPO during 1995-2008 and the examination of "one-sample test" is found the indication of profit management one year prior to IPO. Where as in the period of IPO and one year post-IPO, is not found such management in the companies that undertakes an IPO. Based on Regresiion-Moderation Analysis is found that the sophistication of investor significantly renders negative influence towards the the relation between manajement of profit prior to IPO and share return.Key words: IPO, profit management, sophistication of investor, quality of auditor

Abstract

It has been a long time that education in Indonesia is under the challenge of both, globalization and unemployment. Enterpreuneship therefore is believed to be a solution to create creative, smart and independent generation. This article discusses the concept of enterpreunership in Islamic perspective and its relevance to Islamic education, it is colcluded that Islam in the position that supports for the development of enterpreunership, including the internatization of enterpreunesrship values in education. In the process of integrating of enterpreunership with education, education institutions may adopt a new method that will maintain that Islamic education is always relevant and applicable.Keywords: Islamic education, Entrepreneurship, independence

Abstract

This research was aimed to expose the effect of investment Opportunity Set, Dividend Payout Ratio and Corporate Governance Mechanism to the Company's Value. In this research, company's value was measured by Tobin's Q. Corporate Governance Mechanism were measured by audit committee, independent directors, institutional ownership and managerial ownership.Sampels in this research were 14 manufacturing company that listed at Indonesian Stock Exchange 2008-2010. Data processing in this research was supported by statistic program (SPSS). The data analysis was carried on by regression analysis.The result from the analysis showed that investment Opportunity Set, independent directors, institutional ownership and managerial ownership were affected to company's value. Dividend Payout Ratio and audit committee were not affected to company's value.Keywords: Corporate Governance, Dividend Payout Ratio, Investment Opportunity Set, Tobin's Q.

Abstract

Purpose of this research is to compare the results of the survey and a quick count on election province DKI Jakarta 2012 on round 1. institute survey that wiil compare the results of the survey and its quick count is the Lingkaran Survei Indonesia, IndoBarometer and Jaringan Suara Indonesia. There are significant differences between the survey results and the quick count survey of three institutions.Key words: election, survey, quick count

Abstract

Innovation in the process and services of local government should be dynamic and firmly based on a clear conceptual foundation guaranteed by law. In will be not a long time to wait till the local governments may enjoy certain degree of freedom to initiate an innovation, since the draft or the bill on Local Governement grants such opportunity. Considering that innivation in the process and services of the government facing many barriers, it is needed therefore, not merely legal bases, but also the conceptual basis (paradigm) must be well formulated. The paradigm new public governance (NPG) which offers a concept ofinnivation based on the collaboration of three pillars of governance; goverment, private entities and society, seems to be prospective for being the basis of such innovation.Key words : innovation, governance, local government

Abstract

This study aims to identify the areas which have a highest air pollution especially CO and PM1O in province of Yogyakarta Special Region by the Geographical information Systems (GiS) approach.By using Geographical information Systems (GiS) approach, the mapping result shows that highest CO pollution concentrated in Yogyakarta City and Sleman Regency. The areas which have highest CO pollution according to the results of this method are the area located in country of Yogyakarta City, they are Jetis, Gondomanan, Wirobrajan, Kraton, Mantrijeron, sebagian wilayah Ngampilan, Gedongtengen, dan Mergangsan Districts. Some counties of Sleman Regency such as Depok, Ngagiik and Kaiasan Districts have highest CO pollution too.The areas which have PM10 pollutant in province of Yogyakarta Speciai Region are some parts of Yogyakarta City (Mantrijeron, Kraton, Gondomanan, Ngampiian, Gedongtengen, Danurejan, Wirobrajan, Mergangsan, Pakualaman, Jetis, and Gondokusuman Districts) and Gunung Kidul Regency (Karangmojo District)The result of this study can be recommendation for next research to evaluate the areas so that policy maker minimize the negative impacts of air poilution especially for society health.Keywords: Geographical Information Systems (GIS), PM10, CO.

Abstract

Banyak pihak meyakini good governance adalah meta-konsep yang dapat diimplementasikan pada seluruh level. Tulisan ini berupaya membuktikan hal tersebut dengan meninjau bagaimanakah pembadanan good governance dari "konsep" menjadi "asas", khususnya di sistem pengadaan barang/jasa. Untuk itu, tulisan ini akan mengelaborasi konsep dan sejarah good governance, kemudian menunjukkan bagaimana konsep tersebut terserap dan bekerja sebagai asas. Tulisan ini akhirnya berkesimpulan bahwa good governance adalah konsep yang "avant la lettre", yang mana konsep tersebut telah terbadankan secara utuh sebagai asas good governance, namun terbadankan dengan beberapa modifikasi sebagai asas di sistem pengadaan barang dan jasa. Kata kunci: Konsep, Asas, Sejarah, Good Governance, Pengadaan Barang/Jasa

Abstract

Nationalism as an ideological concept is considered to be one among important aspects in the creation of the character of the nation, including Indonesians, The character building for the nation in turn will determine the quality of the nation. The process of development within countries across the globe is partly shaped its success by the characters of the respective nation. The inception of such ideological concept can be efficiently introduced through many channels, and education is a channel that can be utilized optimally to internalize the nationalism to the students' personality. It is considered therefore that certain ways of education that may support the internalization of such ideology need to be enhanced.Key words: nationalism, education, character

Abstract

The objective of this research is to know the relative efficiency of the sanitation service unit in each regency or municipality of South Sulawesi. The model for analysis is data envelopment analysis (DEA). The regions achieving efficiency for sanitation service during: (a) 2001 and 2002 were Makassar, Takalar and Maros, (b) for 2003 the region thatachieved efficient for sanitation service are Makassar, Pare-pare, Barru, Bone, Takalar, Maros and Pinrang (c) in 2005 the region that achieved efficiency in sanitation service were Makassar, Bone, Maros and Pare-Pare, (d) in 2006 the region that achieved efficiency for sanitation service were Makassar, Bone and Maros.Keyword: efficiency, sanitary public service agency

Abstract

This research is designated to discover how education, unemployment and health influence the poverty with particular reference to the Province of Jogjakarta. Poverty is a complicated problem which involve other various aspects and hence the solution for such problem can not be taken separately among those problems. Poverty link to the low income, illiteracy, and other various problems. Especially in BantuI regency, problem of poverty is relatively high, this can be seen that there are 15 undeveloped villages within 17 sub regencies. The research shows that that the variable of education positively, though not significantly affect the level of poverty. Again, the variable of unemployment also affect positively and significantly the level of poverty. And it is also proven that the healthiness negatively but significant affects the level of poverty.Key words: education, unemployment, healthiness, poverty
