Abstract

This research aims to analyze relation between HIV infection status and religiousness and subjective well being women survivor in Surabaya. The method of this research used interview and questioner toward 28 HIV/AID women survivors in Surabaya. That subjects were selected of 50 women survivors in Surabaya to gain positive HIV diagnosis. In early psychological intervention, we had 30 participants but only 28 participants who attended in medical analysis. Data analysis used statistical test with correlation analysis between psychological and medical variable. As the result, there is a correlation between HIV infection status and religiousness and subjective well being women survivors in Surabaya. It means, if they have a HIV infection status, they have better religiousness and level of subjective well being.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to describe the characteristics and resilience factors for mothers who have children experiencing Down Syndrome. That is factors that help mother finds the strength to face the problem. The method was a qualitative exploratory study using three subjects 30-45 years old mother who has a child with Down syndrome and has resilience. The determination of the subject used purposive sampling techniques and located in some places according to the agreement of subject and significant others. Data collection methods used were interviews equipped with general guidelines as well as the recording field. The results showed that each mother were different in terms of characteristics and resilience factors and differences in educational factors, economic and employment background. Factors that affected the subject resilience also have differences. Some of the factors supporting emerging resilience, the family support factor was the support obtained by the subject.

Abstract

The implementation of nursing care that has not been done optimally, it has became a common problem in the most of government hospitals in Indonesia. Many customers feel not dissatisfied for health care services received from government hospitals. Work motivation is considered as one of the factors that influence the implementation of nursing care in hospital. It is can provide quality health services in hospital which expected by customers. The focus of this study was about how influence of Work motivation to the implementation of nursing care, especially in the Rumah Sakit Umum (RSU)Kolaka in Southeast Sulawesi. The study was designed as a quantitative. The population in this study were all nurses who worked at the RSU Kolaka. All the population in this study were the civil servants (PNS).The sampling technique used was purposive random sampling, so that the sample used in this research consisted of 53 nurses. Analysis of the data used was a simple linear regression analysis. The results of study showed thatthe work motivation contributed 15.6%to the implementation of nursing care (R2 = 0.156) in the RSU Kolaka Southeast Sulawesi.

Abstract

Smoking is a one of a juvenile delinquency. However, if it is not handled properly, it will have an impact on adolescent tendency to a higher juvenile. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between peer social support and personality type with a trend of smoking on SMK Students in Sidoarjo. The hypothesis was that there is a positive relationship between social support of SMK Students (T) with a trend to smoke, there is a positive correlation between the personality type of vocational students (T) with a trend to smoke, and there is a positive relationship between social support and personality type with a trend to smoke. This research used three variables: two independent variables X1: peer social support, X2: personality type; and the dependent variable Y: the trends in smoking of SMK Students in Sidoarjo. The research data analysis used multiple correlation technique using SPSS 16.0 for Windows. The results obtained with the correlation coefficient ρ-0.073 (0.146)> 0.05, meaning that peer social support variables relationship with smoking trends were not significant; the correlation coefficient r with ρ 0.006 (0.904)> 0.05, meaning that the personality type variable relationship with smoking trends were not significant. These results showed that the hypothesis of the reseach were not proven.
