Abstract

Human Immunodeficiency Virus/Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (HIV/AIDS) can attack the human immune system. HIV/AIDS patients experience symptoms both physically, psychologically, socially. This condition is related to the occurrence of self-concept of HIV/AIDS patients who have a negative view of themselves. HIV/AIDS patients have difficulty managing themselves because they lose hope so that it can affect their psychological well-being. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between self-concept and psychological well-being in HIV/AIDS patients This research method uses correlational analytic with cross sectional approach. The population was 50 respondents and the research sample was 50 respondents HIV/AIDS patients at the Cahaya Prolink Institute, Probolinggo regency using total sampling. The research instrument used a Robson Self Concept Questionnaire to measure self-concept, Riff Psychological well Being to measure psychological well-being, both questionnaires have been tested for validity and reliability. Then analyzed using the Spearman Rank test. The results of this study showed that 26 respondents (52.0%) or the majority of HIV/AIDS patients had low self-concept, and 25 respondents (50.0%) of HIV/AIDS patients had low psychological well-being. Based on the results of the Spearman Rank statistical test, it can be said that there is a correlation between self-concept and psychological well-being, pvalue=0.001 with a significant level of 0.05 (p≤0.05). HIV/AIDS patients experience low self-concept problems such as feeling humiliated, worried, having no purpose in life. HIV/AIDS patients experience low psychological well-being such as feeling no future, down, frustrated, worried, disappointed. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between self-concept and psychological well-being in HIV/AIDS patients. It is hoped that HIV/AIDS patients have a good picture so that they can accept themselves, have hope to continue life.

Abstract

Hypertension is a condition where the systolic pressure is above 140 mmHg, while the diastolic pressure is above 90 mmHg. Some hypertension patients often complain of headache, weakness, fatigue, shortness of breath, restlessness, nausea and vomiting, epistaxis and decreased consciousness. This can cause sleep problems in hypertensive patients. Sleep disorders are a collection of conditions characterized by disturbances in the amount, quality or timing of sleep in an individual. One technique to improve sleep quality is progressive muscle relaxation therapy and murotal Al-Quran.This research method uses Pre-Experimental with one group pre-post test approach. The population is 40 respondents and uses a total sampling (technique). The instrument used was a sleep quality questionnaire, measured by the Indonesian version of the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), then data were collected through Editing, Coding, Scoring, and Tabulating processes. The data obtained were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that the average value of sleep quality before progressive muscle relaxation and murotal Al-Quran therapy was performed was 8.30, while after progressive muscle relaxation and murotal Al-Quran the average value of sleep quality was 6.08. The results of the analysis test showed that there was an effect of progressive muscle relaxation therapy and murotal Al-Quran on improving sleep quality of hypertensive patients with -value = 0.000 <α = 0.05. This therapy performs 15 relaxation movements accompanied by the sound of murotal Al-Quran which makes a person relax and calm so that this calmness acts as a pain reliever that makes the patient happy and gives positive energy in a person. this makes the mood to be happy so as to create a good quality sleep. Keywords: Hypertension, sleep quality, progressive muscle relaxation therapy and murotal Al-Quran.

Abstract

Elderly (elderly) is someone who has entered the final stages of the phase of life. This cycle can be seen from the symptoms of physical, psychological, and psychosocial changes. These changes will result anxiety. Anxiety is a feeling of fear that is not clear or even has no known cause. Knitting therapy is one method of lowering anxiety. The goal of this study was to examine how knitting therapy affected older people's anxiety levels. This research method uses a Pre-Experimental approach with aone group pre-post test. The population is 33 respondents and uses a simple random sampling technique. The research sample is 30 respondents. The instrument used is an anxiety questionnaire sheet withHamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) Indonesian version, then the data is collected through a process Editing, Coding, Scoring, andTabulating. The data obtained were analyzed using the testpaired T-Test. The results showed the average value of anxiety before knitting therapy was 16.63 while after knitting therapy the average value of anxiety was 6.50. The results of the data analysis test showed that there was an effect of knitting therapy on reducing anxiety in the elderly with -valeu = 0.000 <α = 0.05. Knitting therapy can be used to improve focus, and develop patience. knitting activities can train the left and right brain when doing the same movement, besides sitting quietly and focusing on knitting can reduce heart rate and blood pressure, so we feel relaxed and calm, this situation acts as a pain reliever. This also makes the feeling happy so that it can provide positive energy in a person, this is what makes the mood happy so that feelings of anxiety decrease easily. It is hoped that knitting therapy can be applied to fill the spare time of the elderly and future researchers canmake modifications to the therapeutic media that will be used, one of which can be equipped with making video media.

Abstract

Degenerative disease is a health condition of an organ or related tissue whose condition can deteriorate over time due to changes in body cells that affect organ function as a whole. The factor is due to unhealthy life changes such as lack of activity and frequent exposure to harmful substances into the body. Degenerative diseases include hypertension, diabetes, cholesterol, cancer, and death. Harmful substances or free radicals can be inhibited by antioxidants. One drug that has antioxidant activity is ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) which functions as an immune booster and is used by the public because it is effective as an antioxidant and health therapy but there are side effects in the form of gastrointestinal. The research aimed to find candidate drug ingredients from compounds contained in black pepper seeds (Piper nigrum L.) as in silico antioxidants. The methods used are molecular docking and molecular dynamics. The results showed BLH19 had better toxicity than the comparator drug and had hydrogen interactions that could be stabilized by the amino acid Gln139. The results of molecular dynamic calculations for BLH19 have an RMSD value of 1.5 Å with a ΔGTotal of -33.50 Kcal/mol. While the comparator drug has an RMSD value of 1.6 Å with ΔGTotal -3.39 Kcal/mol. The results showed that the affinity level of ascorbic acid compared to BLH19 for the 4RP9 receptor was predicted to be a candidate for a new antioxidant drug.

Abstract

The elderly is a vulnerable group that has a very high dependency rate. The elderly has various health problems such as degenerative diseases and decreased productivity so that it can cause a decrease in independence in carrying out daily activities (Activities Daily Living). This research strategy combines a cross-sectional approach with correlational analysis. Simple random sampling is the method used for sampling. employing the logistic regression test. examined respondents' perceptions of senior citizens' independence, using a sample size of 45 respondents. The results of this study found that there was a relationship between all factors that could be done both from family support, cognitive function, and anxiety with a p value of 0.05 while the dominant factor related to the independence of the elderly was the anxiety factor with a p value of 0.005 a 0.05 and OR value =248792879.8 Can guarantee that family support, cognitive function, and can increase the independence of the elderly, but the most dominant factor for independence is the anxiety factor. To ensure that body parts can move and there is no immobility disorder, it is expected of the aged to continue with everyday activities. They are also expected to maintain their health by visiting an integrated health center, a public health center, or other healthcare facilities.
