JRFES scopes are the result of research on physics research and physics education. JRFES is focused on publishing original research results that have not been published anywhere. Issues published by JRFES cover the areas of education namely planning, implementation, and evaluation of Education and the field of physics. This journal publishes original articles on the latest issues and trends occurring internationally in science curriculum, instruction, learning, policy, and preparation of science teachers with the aim to advance our knowledge of science education theory and practice. Moreover, this journal also covers the issues concerned with environmental education & environmental science. Abstract

The background of this research  not all students like physics learning. This is caused by students' lack of understanding of physics learning material. The students' incomprehension can be seen when the learning process takes place, some students are embarrassed to ask even though basically the students do not understand the material presented by the teacher in front of the class. This type of research is Quasi Experiment with research design in the form of Design Group Control. Data on physics learning results are seen in two domains, namely the cognitive and affective domains. In the cognitive domain, the average experimental class has an average of 67.37 while the class has an average of 60.76. Learning outcomes in the affective domain obtained from the assessment of student activity sheets had an average of 79 in the experimental class and 74 in the control class. Based on the results of the analysis of hypothesis testing with the F test, it was found that t count = 1.64, and t table = 2.00, where if –t table < t count < t table then the hypothesis is rejected. So it can be concluded that the use of cooperative learning model type Group Investigation does not affect the learning outcomes of physics students of class XI MIPA SMAN 1 Enam Lingkung.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis yang diajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran POE dan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada materi elastisitas dan (2) peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik yang diajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran POE dan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada materi elastisitas. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen. Pengambilan sample menggunakan purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar peserta didik  yang diajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran POE dan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah hasil belajar fisika siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif informal dengan formulate-share-listen-create (FSLC). Model FSLC memberikan peluang bagi siswa untuk aktif dalam membangun dan memahami materi pelajaran melalui proses berpikir secara individu dan bekerja bersama dalam kelompok. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimental semu dengan desain penelitian Randomized Control Group Posttest Only. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis menggunakan uji t karena data terdistribusi normal dan kelompok data memiliki varian yang homogen. Hasil belajar dalam domain kognitif diperoleh, nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen adalah 81,26 dan kelas kontrol adalah 65,98. Selanjutnya, dengan analisis uji t, thitung = 14,78 lebih besar dari ttabel = 2,405, dengan demikian hipotesis diterima. Dalam domain afektif aktivitas rata-rata siswa di kelas eksperimen adalah 51,71 sedangkan di kelas kontrol 53,85. Jadi penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif informal dengan formulate-share-listen-creat (FSLC) lebih baik daripada hasil belajar siswa yang menerapkan model pembelajaran konvensional di kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Batang Anai.

Abstract

The involvement of students in the learning process of physics at school is not optimal. In the learning process new innovations are needed to support students to be active, one of  the application, the Teams Game Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model can be used. This type of research is quasi experimental research, with the posttest only control group design research design. Sampling is done by cluster random sampling technique. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that for the cognitive domain, the average for learning outcomes in the experimental class was 67.37 while the control class was 57.13. In the affective domain in the form of student activities during the learning process, it was obtained on average for the 57.43 experiment class while the control class 49.8 later, the results of hypothesis testing using two-party t test obtained t_count = 3.28 and t_table = 1.67 where 3 28> 1.67 then the hypothesis is accepted. This study shows that the learning outcomes of physics with the TGT cooperative learning model accompanied by quizzes are better than the results of students' physics learning using conventional learning in class VIII IPA Optical Instruments in SMP 28 Padang

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada kesulitan peserta didik dalam memahami materi pelajaran fisika sehingga menghasilkan hasil belajar yang rendah dari peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Penerapan Pemberian Pertanyaan dan Mendapatkan Jawaban dengan Tari Bambu Hasil Fisika Siswa. Strategi Memberikan Pertanyaan dan Mendapatkan Jawaban adalah strategi yang mampu mengoptimalkan peran siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Dalam ranah kognitif pengumpulan data menggunakan deskripsi masalah sebanyak 10 item, dalam ranah afektif menggunakan lembar observasi. Hasil pembelajaran dalam domain kognitif diperoleh, nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen adalah 80,03 dan kelas kontrol adalah 70,62. Dalam domain afektif rata-rata aktivitas eksperimen kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol, yaitu di kelas eksperimen 71 dan kelas kontrol 63. Selanjutnya, dengan analisis uji-t, tct = 3,63 lebih besar dari t- = 1,675 (pada real tingkat 0,05), dengan demikian hipotesis alternatif diterima. Jadi memberi pertanyaan dan mendapatkan jawaban dengan tarian bambu lebih baik pada hasil belajar.
