Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has spread around the globe, including in Indonesia. The Special Region of Yogyakarta is one of the areas listed in the red zone. Covid-19 has had a wide range of effects on survivors' physical and mental health. According to research, survivors feel anxiety, trauma, and even depression. Resilience is one way for survivors to rise above difficult circumstances. Experts believe that religiosity is one factor that promotes the development of resilience. The study aims to determine the correlation between religiosity and resilience in Covid-19 survivors. This research was quantitative research with the correlational method. The research data were collected using two scales, namely the religiosity scale and the CD-RISC 25 resilience scale. The respondents of this study consisted of 121 subjects from all regencies and municipalities in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia which were taken by random sampling technique. The study found a positive correlation between religiosity and resilience in Covid-19 survivors. The correlation coefficient is 0.621, indicating that the stronger the religiosity, the higher the resilience of Covid-19 survivors. Moreover, the effective contribution of the religiosity variable to resilience was 38.5%, as indicated by the determinant coefficient equal to 0.385.

Abstract

The incidence of injuries in the world throughout the year is increasing, both acute and chronic wounds. In Indonesia, the prevalence of incisional wounds is 8.2%. Wound healing can be assisted with herbal plants, one of which is aloe vera. The purpose of this evidence-based nursing study was to determine aloe vera's effectiveness in the healing process of incisional wounds. The method used is a literature review. Database searches were conducted through Pubmed, Science Direct, Science Open and Google Scholar. The inclusion criteria of the journal in this study were journals that examined incisions, cuts or surgical wounds given intervention using aloe vera in a quasi-experimental research design, case study, double-blind, controlled trial, journals published in 2016-2021 and used Indonesian or English. This study's results indicate an influence of aloe vera in the wound-healing process, especially in the proliferative phase. This literature study can be used as evidence-based nursing at the level of nursing health services, especially wound care management based on aloe vera.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the differences in paper leg exercise to reduce the symptoms of Type 2 DM in Elderly Family Guidance Center in Indonesia. This study used a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. Inclusion criteria were the elderly who were more than 45 years old. All respondens are notready diagnosed with diabetes. The research subjects became one group and then data collection and measurements were carried out before and after being given newspaper gymnastics treatment. This is intended to be able to find out the differences experienced by the subject before and after being given treatment. Data analysis using Wilcoxon. The mean value for the pretest is 1.65 and for the posttest is 0.01. The mean between the two shows results that have different differences.. The results of Wilcoxon's analysis showed a significance differences. Its means that paper leg exercise can provide a significant difference in reducing physical symptoms of Type 2 DM. There were differences between the pretest and posttest. This shows that exercise can significantly reduce the physical symptoms of diabetes millitus in the elderly.

Abstract

Klebsiella pneumoniae is one of the most common ESBL-producing microorganisms. The research aims to detect the Tem gene in clinical isolates of K. pneumonaie from the Laboratory of clinical pathology of Wahidin Sudirohusodo General Hospital. Methods: This research is a descriptive cross-sectional design. Fifty samples of K. pneumonieae were obtained from the Laboratory of clinical pathology from March to May 2018. Tem gene was detected using primary Tem 164.SE and Tem 165.AS (445 bp) of Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR). The research results indicate that 48 isolates are positive, containing the Tem gene with the highest number found in the sputum specimen. Genotype detection of bacteria-producing ESBL is essential so that antibiotic therapy given to the patients is more effective and efficient.

Abstract

Soap is a product that can be used to clean hands from bacteria and dirt. One of the natural ingredients that can be formulated into soap is sappan wood. Sappan wood contains 5 compounds belonging to flavonoids, including brazilin, brazilein, 3'-O-methyl brazilin, sappanin, chalcone, and sappanchalcone which have antioxidant and antibacterial properties. This study aims to formulate sappan wood extract into a transparent solid soap preparation with an olive oil base using variations in glycerin concentration, namely F1 (10%), F2 (15%), and F3 (20%) transparent soap preparations. The type of research conducted is experimental research. Evaluation of transparent soap preparations consisted of organoleptic testing, pH, moisture content, foam stability, wetting power, and hardness of the preparation. The results of the study showed that the transparent soap met the requirements for the organoleptic test, pH test, water content test, wetting power test, and hardness test. In the results of the stability test, F3 foam has a longer foam stability compared to F1 and F2.
