Abstract

The purpose of this article is to highlight God's patience with Job. That even though God was misunderstood by both Job and his friends, God still showed his unwavering image-as a long-patient and loving figure. That’s way I’m interested to explore God's patience to respond to Job's complaints towards God. At first, God seems withdrawn Himself from his life. After studied Jobs’ text, I learn that God's patience towards Job from his story shouldn’t be missed, we need to studying more specifically. From Job, we as God’s followers able to truly understand God's patience with Job then this precious truth becomes a strength to hold on to when we are facing hardship in this life. When Job places the sovereign of God between himself and the trials so he was protected from outside attacks through the arguments of his three egocentric companions who tend to accuse and judgemental over Job. From Job's narrative of his suffering, it appears that although his life is so threatening, God never breaks in His promise exactly the same as what he believes about God's faithfulness. God is righteous, patient, and full of affection to Job in every season he faces. God is Yahweh in charge of restoring Jobs' life, and that He is also God sovereign over His people all the time.

Abstract

In Hebrews, the High Priest theory has a very fundamental and important position in the structure of the entire Hebrews. It can be said that it plays a central role in its quantity and content in the whole text. The words of Ellingworth are quite reasonable, “Perhaps the Hebrews author's idea of ??Christ is very likely to be two central pillars, the ‘Son of God’ (1: 2) and ‘High Priest’ (2:17).”[1] In particular, the idea that Christ in the high priesthood of Jesus Christ is a high priest following the order of Melchizedek is at the heart of the High Priesthood. Because the text of the book of Hebrews emphasizes Jesus Christ as a very different high priest who follows the order of Melchizedek directly and very repeatedly.[2] The texts of the high priesthood of Jesus Christ show the concept that Jesus is the only unique, special, and superior follower of the order of Melchizedek. Therefore, Melchizedek is an essential element in understanding the duty of the High Priest of Jesus Christ.

Abstract

The Great Commission of The Lord Jesus in the gospel of Matthew is an important part of the misnistry of every person who follows Christ specifically for personal evangelism. The autor conducted research at four theological seminary, both S1 and S2. The Research results of all students (100%) agree with the importance of carrying out the mandate of the Lord Jesus through personal evangelism. The fact that all students pay attention to is 5% of students running is a personal evangelism (we call PI Pribadi) with inconsistencies. The Lord Jesus did not give The Great Commission contains coercion to His followers to go out to preach the Gospel of God. Jesus is King. But the Lord Jesus did not give orders as King to His followers to go preach the gospel of God. Praying in evangelism is not coercion or obligation, but God’s involvement as the subject of the evangelist who give opportunity to be involved in evangelism. The word ‘go away’ has no command meaning. The writer is interested is describing rethingking about the word ‘go away’ not in understanding the command. Matthew explained in Matthew 18:16-20 give a new nuance that is the basic of a rethinking of the great commission and applies it in personal evangelism. Telling the gospel or good news to many people is not by coercion or obligation. A disciple of Christ telling the good news not by force or obligation, but with joy at being involved in the work of Christ, the Messiah.

Abstract

The Gospel of Matthew 1: 1-17 records the genealogy of Jesus, the words of God who became flesh. Therefore, this reading tells only about the genealogy of Jesus, that is often neglected and considered not important to be learned. However, the author considers that the genealogy of Jesus in Matthew 1: 1-17 is very important. Based on an investigation of this genealogy, it is confirmed that Jesus is the fulfillment of the Messiah who was promised by God in the Old Testament period.
