Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) remains a critical public health challenge in tropical regions, with Indonesia recording approximately 143,000 cases in 2022 alone, yet most local health authorities lack spatially explicit decision-support tools. This study aimed to design and develop a web-based Geographic Information System (GIS) capable of mapping DHF vulnerability levels and case distribution in Pontianak City, West Kalimantan, in real time. A research and development approach was employed, involving field observation, structured interviews with Pontianak City Health Office officials, and secondary data collection comprising 120 confirmed DHF patient records obtained from the health office for the period 2024 to May 2025. The system integrated real-time environmental data retrieved via the OpenWeatherMap API alongside population density data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). Vulnerability levels were calculated using a scoring method applied to four parameters — air temperature, rainfall, humidity, and population density — and visualized through dual-layer spatial techniques: Choropleth Maps to represent sub-district vulnerability gradations and Point Mapping to display precise case locations based on patient geographic coordinates. System validation was conducted through Black Box Testing, which confirmed full functional compliance, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with health office representatives, yielding a Strongly Agree score of 88.23%. The developed system successfully classified DHF vulnerability into three categories (High, Moderate, Low) and provided interactive, real-time spatial visualization, offering the Pontianak City Health Office a data-driven instrument for targeted DHF prevention and control.

Abstract

TikTok is one of the social media platforms with the most users globally, with a total of 1.94 billion users as of July 2025, and Indonesia is the country with the largest number of TikTok users, with a total of 194 million users as of July 2025. Indonesian TikTok users are dominated by women with a percentage of 50.8 percent and men 49.2 percent. The influence of the development of the social media world has had a significant influence on the formation of partner standards. The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze how TikTok influences partner selection standards among Indonesian women. The study was conducted using the Qualitative Content Analysis (Qualitative Content Analysis) or Netnography method. The method of analysis includes observation of viral videos or analysis of the comment column on certain accounts. The results show that Indonesian women have experienced a significant shift in partner selection standards due to exposure to TikTok content. These findings identify an increase in expectations focused on aspects of economic stability, having a high-income job, and meeting comprehensive emotional needs through the concept of the five love languages. Furthermore, these standards include demands for the absolute availability of material resources, time, and energy from men without any demands for balanced reciprocity in the relationship. TikTok's influence plays a role in determining women's criteria, which requires men to provide all of a woman's needs, both physical and spiritual, as well as other basic needs.

Abstract

Oil spills from tanker operations threaten marine ecosystems, especially in busy lanes such as the Malacca Strait, where operational failures in manifold connections during cargo handling are a major contributor to incidents. This study analyzes oil spill prevention efforts in accordance with MARPOL Annex I on the MT. Capella and identifies the causal factors through a descriptive qualitative case study. Data were collected from purposive sampling of key informants (Master, Chief Officer, Boatswain), semi-structured interviews, participant observation during 12 months of sailing practice, and analysis of ship documents, processed through thematic reduction, source triangulation, and interpretive verification. The findings indicate the systematic implementation of preventive measures including pre-operation toolbox meetings, visual inspections of reducers/gaskets/flange, installation of drip trays, and recording in the Oil Record Book, which successfully controlled a minor leak on February 17, 2025, without significant marine pollution. The main causes included technical factors (gasket wear, uneven bolt tightening, pressure surges) and human factors (lack of strict supervision, weak communication), confirmed through triangulation. The conclusions confirm that procedural compliance is effective but hampered by a lack of scheduled maintenance and scalable emergency response. Recommendations include standardizing torque wrenches, routine gasket stocking, intensive drilling, and regulatory audits to optimize Annex I compliance in Indonesian tanker operations.

Abstract

Technological advancements in the 21st century require the mastery of computational thinking from an early age. However, mathematics learning is often perceived as monotonous, leading to low levels of student self-regulation. This study aims to systematically review the effectiveness of developing outdoor mathematics activities based on unplugged coding in enhancing self-regulation. The method used was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the PRISMA protocol, analyzing 35 research articles (2006–2026). The results indicate that unplugged coding activities are as effective as computer-based methods in training algorithmic logic. Outdoor learning has been shown to increase motivation and reduce boredom, while self-regulation strategies emerge as the primary predictor of success in solving mathematical problems. The study’s conclusion emphasizes that the integration of these three components—outdoor mathematics, unplugged coding, and Self-Regulated Learning—creates an interactive and self-directed learning environment that specifically contributes to enhancing students’ learning autonomy.

Abstract

This research focuses on the strategies used by school teachers to introduce sexual boundaries to young children during classroom learning. This is driven by the rise in cases of child sexual abuse, while discussions about sexual boundaries are still considered taboo at home and at school, and lack appropriate understanding and strategies for communicating them to children. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the strategies used by teachers, supporting factors, and various obstacles faced by teachers in implementing strategies to introduce sexual boundaries to children. The research method used was descriptive qualitative research, with data collection techniques through interviews and observations. Data collection was conducted at a Kindergarten/Kindergarten in Gunungpati District from February 23 to March 6, 2026. The results of the study indicate that instilling sexual boundaries values in early childhood is positioned as an integral part of character education in kindergarten. In delivering sexual boundaries material, there are three strategic stages, namely: (1) giving warnings, (2) raising awareness, and (3) giving educational punishment. In addition, the use of visual media, symbols, songs, and daily habits have been proven to be relevant to the concrete thinking characteristics of early childhood. Teacher understanding and institutional support through school policies, the provision of facilities that support privacy, and the involvement of the school committee are important factors in ensuring the sustainability of the systematic implementation of sexual boundaries education. The obstacles faced by teachers in delivering sexual boundaries material to children are that many parents still consider this topic taboo and therefore do not fully support providing an understanding of sexual boundaries from an early age.

Abstract

This study aims to empirically examine the influence of participative leadership on employee performance at the Department of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, and Family Planning (DP3AKB) of Tambrauw Regency. The urgency of this study is driven by significant social service challenges, such as handling stunting and overcoming geographical constraints in the region. The research method utilizes a quantitative approach with a causal (explanatory research) design. A population of 38 employees was fully involved as respondents through a saturated sampling (census) technique. Primary data were collected via Likert-scale questionnaires, structured observations, and documentation studies, which were then analyzed using simple linear regression through SPSS software. The results show that the participative leadership style at DP3AKB is in the high enough category (average of 50.2895), while employee performance is in the good category (average of 50.2105). Hypothesis testing proves that participative leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a t-count (10.840) > t-table (2.037) and a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination () of 0.765 indicates that the participative leadership style contributes 76.5% to the variation in employee performance. In conclusion, the implementation of inclusive leadership through open communication and staff involvement in decision-making is proven effective in increasing work productivity. Leaders are advised to optimize their role as facilitators to maintain employee motivation in achieving organizational targets.

Abstract

Efforts to understand the role of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in the context of disasters are no longer enough to only look at their function as a mapping tool. This research departs from the problem of data integration that tends to be fragmented, and then tries to see how GIS works when dealing with data sources that are not always in line. The approach used was an Integrative Literature Review of 25 Scopus indexed articles, which were selected through several stages of screening, although not all studies offered the same depth. The analysis process is carried out through data extraction and thematic readings to capture emerging patterns, including parts that have not been discussed much. The results show that GIS tends to act as a meeting point for various types of data, ranging from satellite imagery to information based on public participation that is not always stable. In practice, technologies such as the Internet of Things, digital twins, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, and WebGIS expand the way systems respond to situations, especially through real-time data and simulations that are predictive in nature. However, not all integrations go smoothly. Limited Interoperability, variations in data quality, and infirm governance are still quite noticeable obstacles. At this point, the potential of the system is obvious, but it is not yet fully ripe for reliability without further adjustments.

Abstract

The development of capital markets requires the presence of transparency, fairness, and equality among all market participants. However, the practice of insider trading remains a significant issue that can undermine market integrity. Insider trading refers to the use of material non-public information by certain parties to gain an advantage in stock trading. This practice not only violates the principle of information disclosure but also creates information asymmetry that may distort market mechanisms. This study aims to analyze the forms and characteristics of insider trading as a fraudulent practice and misuse of informational advantage, as well as to assess the relevance of competition law principles in identifying distortions of fairness and equality within the market. The research employs a normative juridical method with statutory and conceptual approaches, utilizing primary legal materials such as Law Number 8 of 1995 concerning Capital Markets and Law Number 5 of 1999 concerning the Prohibition of Monopolistic Practices and Unfair Business Competition. The findings indicate that insider trading constitutes a form of fraud based on the misuse of informational advantage, which leads to inequity in the market. Although it does not legally qualify as a monopolistic practice, insider trading still creates distortions in the principles of fair competition.
