Abstract

This study aims to design and implement an Arduino Uno-based lathe tool temperature monitoring system using MLX90614 sensors, analyze temperature changes in spindle speed variations, and determine the relationship between temperature and chisel wear. The research was carried out on the ST41 steel turning process using High Speed Steel (HSS) chisels with spindle speed variations of 190 rpm, 300 rpm, and 460 rpm. The temperature of the tool is measured non-contact using a MLX90614 sensor, while the wear of the tool is measured based on the flank wear (VB) value using an optical microscope. The data were analyzed using normality, homogeneity, One Way ANOVA, and Tukey HSD follow-up tests. The results showed that the monitoring system worked well with a sensor accuracy rate of 98.67% and an average error percentage of 1.33%. The variation in spindle speed had a significant effect on the chisel temperature with a significance value of 0.035 (<0.05). The increase in temperature was followed by an increase in chisel wear, with average wear of 0.170 mm at 190 rpm, 0.206 mm at 300 rpm, and 0.277 mm at 460 rpm. The developed system is able to monitor temperature in real-time and can be used as an initial indicator of tool wear conditions in the turning process.

Abstract

In primary healthcare ecosystems, maintaining optimal service quality is fundamental to achieving high patient satisfaction and sustaining public trust in universal health coverage programs. However, public health centers frequently face operational challenges in balancing high patient volumes with individual care expectations under the BPJS system. This research evaluates how healthcare service quality determines BPJS patient satisfaction at Sumberjambe Community Health Center, Jember Regency, employing the SERVQUAL framework. Applying a quantitative approach, 100 BPJS beneficiaries were recruited through accidental sampling to complete structured questionnaires. The dataset underwent multiple linear regression analysis via SPSS after meeting all prerequisites for validity, reliability, normality, homoscedasticity, and the absence of multicollinearity. Empirical results demonstrate that service quality substantially drives patient satisfaction (F = 18.450, p < 0.001), accounting for 49.5% of the variance (R2 = 0.495). While all individual SERVQUAL dimensions yielded statistically significant positive effects, Empathy surfaced as the strongest predictor β = 0.410). These insights underscore that optimizing interpersonal care, staff attentiveness, and communication channels is critical to elevating patient experience. Ultimately, this work validates the utility of SERVQUAL in primary healthcare settings and offers practical direction for institutional service refinement. Abstract

NIM 20221326122021 Hospital Administration Study Program. “The Relationship Workload and Doctors' Attitudes with the Completeness of Informed Consent Forms at RSD Idaman Banjarbaru City”. Adviser: H. Raziansyah, S.Kp., MPH and Annalia Wardhani, S.Kep, Ns, M.Kep. The World Health Organization (WHO) states that an integrated health information system is capable of accelerating administrative processes, reducing data errors, and improving coordination among service units (WHO, 2022). This study aimed to determine the relationship between the implementation of the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) and service quality at the Outpatient Department of RSD Idaman Banjarbaru. This study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. The study population consisted of 102 administrative staff and 4,092 outpatients in January. The sample comprised 51 administrative staff and 51 outpatients selected using a nonprobability sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires and then analyzed using the Spearman Rank test with the assistance of SPSS version 25. The results showed that most respondents assessed the implementation of HMIS as being in the good category; 71.0% assessed the quality of administrative services as being in the good category, while 29.0% assessed it as being in the poor category. The analysis results indicated a significant relationship between the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) and the quality of administrative services (p-value = 0.000; r = 0.568). The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) and the quality of administrative services at the Outpatient Department of RSD Idaman Banjarbaru in 2026.

Abstract

3D printing technology using the Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) method has been widely adopted in manufacturing processes due to its ability to produce complex-shaped products at relatively low cost and with high production efficiency. However, the mechanical properties of printed products are significantly influenced by printing process parameters. This study aimed to analyze the effects of infill density, printing speed, and printing orientation on the mechanical properties of Polylactic Acid (PLA) specimens and to determine the optimal parameter combination using the Taguchi method. An experimental approach was employed using a Creality K1 3D printer and PLA filament. Tensile test specimens were manufactured according to the ASTM D638 standard, while compression test specimens were prepared based on the ASTM D695 standard. The experimental data were analyzed using the Taguchi method through the Signal-to-Noise (S/N) ratio to evaluate the influence of each process parameter and identify the optimal parameter combination. The results indicated that variations in the 3D printing process parameters significantly affected the mechanical properties of PLA specimens under both tensile and compression testing. Based on the Taguchi analysis, the optimal parameter combination consisted of an infill density of 0.1, a printing speed of 100 mm/s, and a horizontal printing orientation, which produced the best mechanical performance. Furthermore, the S/N ratio analysis revealed that printing orientation was the most influential parameter affecting the mechanical properties, followed by infill density, while printing speed had the least influence. Therefore, the Taguchi method proved to be an effective approach for determining the optimal process parameter combination to improve the mechanical quality of PLA specimens produced using the FDM 3D printing process.

Abstract

The development of 3D printing technology has increased the use of Honeycomb Rib structures to produce lightweight components with improved mechanical performance. This study aims to analyze the effect of polygon angle variation in Polylactic Acid (PLA) Honeycomb Rib structures on the flexural strength of specimens manufactured using the Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) process and to determine the optimal polygon angle. The research involved Finite Element Method (FEM) simulation using SolidWorks, followed by specimen fabrication with an FDM 3D printer and three-point bending testing according to ASTM D790. The evaluated parameters included stress distribution, deflection, maximum flexural stress, strain, and flexural modulus. The results show that polygon angle variation affects the mechanical behavior of Honeycomb Rib structures. The 130° polygon angle produced the highest flexural strength with lower deflection than the other variations, resulting in a more uniform stress distribution. These findings provide a reference for developing lightweight structures for automotive applications based on additive manufacturing.

Abstract

This study aims to critically analyze how the limitations of a big data-based strategic human resource management (HRM) approach affect an organization’s ability to build resilience in the era of Black Swan events, through a case study at MTs Roudlotul Muta'allimin Simbar Tampo Cluring, Banyuwangi. This study employs a qualitative approach using a case study design at MTs Roudlotul Muta'allimin Simbar Tampo Cluring Banyuwangi during May 2026. Four informants were selected through purposive sampling, consisting of the school principal, the vice principal for curriculum, the administrative director, and a senior teacher. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis utilized the interactive model proposed by Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña through data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, while data validity was tested through source triangulation, methodological triangulation, and member checking. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of data-driven strategic human resource management at MTs Roudlotul Muta’allimin Simbar Tampo Cluring Banyuwangi has not yet been able to optimally build organizational resilience in the face of uncertainty. The main findings identify three limitations: the illusion of predictability, the reproduction of structural bias, and algorithmic fragility, which indicate that reliance on historical data can reduce organizational adaptability. This study contributes to expanding the field of Strategic Human Resource Management by emphasizing that data should be positioned as a decision support tool, not a decision substitute. Consequently, HRM practices need to integrate data analytics with adaptive leadership, sensemaking, and professional judgment. Further research is recommended to test the Human-Centered Data-Driven Human Resource Management model across various organizational contexts.

Abstract

Corrosion is a common issue affecting heavy equipment components, particularly excavator buckets that operate in open environments and frequently come into direct contact with water, mud, soil, and abrasive materials. Continuous corrosion can lead to reduced material thickness, mass loss, and diminished mechanical strength, ultimately shortening the excavator bucket's service life. This study aims to determine the corrosion rate of excavator buckets at the Heavy Equipment Workshop Unit (UPT) of the Bengkalis Regency Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (Dinas PUPR). The study employed a quantitative method using the weight-loss approach. Data were obtained through direct measurement of excavator bucket dimensions, measurement of initial and actual thicknesses, and calculations of volume, material density, mass loss, and exposure time during the service period. The collected data were then analyzed using the corrosion rate formula to quantify the extent of corrosion on the excavator buckets. The results indicate that the excavator bucket has a surface area of ​​14,712 cm², a volume of 99,360 cm³, and a material density of 8.05 g/cm³. The reduction in bucket thickness from 50 mm to 41 mm represents a loss of 9 mm (or 0.9 cm). Calculations revealed a material volume loss of 13,240.8 cm³ and a mass loss of 106,588.44 grams. The total exposure time for the excavator bucket during its service period was 6,300 hours. Analysis using the weight-loss method yielded a corrosion rate of 12.50 mm/year. In conclusion, the excavator buckets at the Bengkalis Regency PUPR Agency's Heavy Equipment Workshop are experiencing a relatively high rate of corrosion. This condition is driven by the bucket's operating environment, which involves frequent exposure to water, mud, and high humidity, as well as material friction during operations. Therefore, routine maintenance, periodic thickness inspections, and the application of anti-corrosion coatings are necessary to slow the corrosion rate and extend the service life of the excavator buckets.

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the causes of crankshaft failure in the Komatsu EGS 1200 diesel engine at PT. PLTD Bengkalis. The crankshaft is one of the most critical components of a diesel engine, functioning to convert the reciprocating motion of the piston into rotational motion. Failure of the crankshaft can disrupt engine operation and result in significant downtime at the power generation plant. This study aims to identify the primary factors causing crankshaft failure and to propose corrective actions to minimize future failures.The research employed the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) method. The research data were collected through direct observation, documentation, interviews, and operational data obtained from the Komatsu EGS 1200 diesel engine at PT. PLTD Bengkalis. The analysis was carried out by identifying potential failure modes, their causes, and the effects of these failures on the diesel engine system.The results indicate that crankshaft failure is influenced by several factors, including inadequate lubrication, excessive operating loads, material fatigue, overheating, and misalignment of engine components. Based on the FMEA analysis, the most critical factors contributing to crankshaft damage were identified, providing a basis for developing effective maintenance strategies and preventive measures to reduce future failures. This study is expected to improve the reliability of diesel engines and minimize the risk of failures in power generation systems.

Abstract

Damage to the exhaust valve guide in the Doosan GV180 TI gas engine can reduce engine performance and reliability, potentially disrupting the continuity of power generation at PT Bima Golden Powerindo, Melibur Site. This study aims to identify the types of exhaust valve guide failures, analyze their contributing factors, and determine corrective action priorities using the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) method and Pareto Diagram. The research employed a case study approach, with data collected through field observations, visual inspections, dimensional measurements of the valve guide, and preventive maintenance records at 750 running hours. The results indicate that the dominant failure modes include excessive wear, ovality, valve sticking, overheating, and lubrication failure. FMEA analysis revealed that excessive wear has the highest risk level, making it the primary priority for corrective action. The main factors contributing to the failures are high operating temperatures, inadequate lubrication, and prolonged engine operating hours. Therefore, periodic inspections, proper lubrication system control, and replacement of the valve guide according to the manufacturer's specifications are recommended to improve engine reliability and extend its service life.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of how the implementation of person-organization fit in the teacher recruitment process shapes affective commitment and supports talent retention. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design to analyze the implementation of person-organization fit in teacher recruitment and its role in shaping affective commitment and talent retention at Madrasah Aliyyah Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Sukorejo Bangorejo Banyuwangi. The research was conducted over one month, involving four informants selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, non-participant observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the interactive model by Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña through the stages of open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. Data credibility was ensured through source triangulation, methodological triangulation, and member checking. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of person-organization fit in teacher recruitment is a crucial strategy for fostering affective commitment, retaining talent, and ensuring the sustainability of human resource management at Madrasah Aliyyah Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Sukorejo Bangorejo, Banyuwangi. Value alignment between teachers and the organization from the recruitment stage accelerates adaptation, strengthens emotional attachment, and enhances participation in institutional development. Theoretically, this study expands the perspective of Person-Organization Fit Theory by positioning it as a strategic mechanism that integrates recruitment, affective commitment, and talent management. The research implications underscore the importance of integrating value alignment into the teacher recruitment and development processes to support the sustainability of value-based educational organizations.
