Abstract

The problem faced in rubber nurseries on a large scale is the limitation of fertile soil. An effort to overcome this problem is to utilize peat soil with rubber leaf litter compost treatment. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving a dose of rubber leaf litter compost on the growth of sleeping eye stum rubber seeds and to determine the best dose of rubber leaf litter compost on the growth of sleeping eye stum rubber seedlings. The research was carried out in the experimental garden of Gg. Hj. Salbiah Delta Pawan District, Ketapang Regency, West Kalimantan from April to July 2021. The study used a single factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments used were K0 = 1000 g peat soil, K1 = 300 g rubber leaf litter compost + 700 g peat soil, K2 = 400 g rubber leaf litter compost + 600 g peat soil and K3 = 500 g rubber leaf litter compost + 500 g peat. The data obtained were analyzed statistically with Analysis of Variances (ANOVA) using the SAS application version 9.0. If it is significantly different, then it is continued with the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) further test at the 5% level. The results showed that the addition of rubber leaf litter had a significant effect on shoot height, stem diameter, number of umbrellas and root length. The dose of rubber leaf litter compost 500 g rubber litter compost + 500 g peat soil is the best treatment to increase the growth of sleeping eye stumps.

Abstract

Sweet corn is the second source of carbohydrates after rice. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Defoliation technique and variations in NPK 16:16:16 doses so as to increase the growth and yield of sweet corn plants. The research was conducted at the Hollywood Experimental Field, Klangonan Village. The time for conducting the research was from August to October 2022. The tools needed during the research included: sickle, machete, hoe, tape measure, ruler, raffia rope, bucket, cellphone, brix and stationery. While the materials needed include: sweet corn seeds, NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer. Two-factor Randomized Block Design (RBD), namely the defoliation technique on sweet corn plants and the application of Pearl NPK fertilizer. The first factor is the defoliation technique (D) and the second factor is Pearl NPK fertilization (P) resulting in 3 levels. Each treatment was repeated 3 times to get 27 experimental units. If the results are significantly different (F Count > F table) then the analysis is continued by using the BNT test at the 5% level. From the results of the study there were significant differences in the application of the defoliation technique and the application of NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer to sweet corn.

Abstract

Long bean production in Indonesia has decreased accompanied by increased consumer demand, the reason being the lack of intensification of cultivation methods carried out by farmers. The use of mulch and fertilizer can increase crop production. This study aims to determine the growth and yield of long bean plants with different doses of rice straw mulch and Phonska NPK fertilizer. This study used a randomized block design with two factors, the first factor was the dose of mulch (M) and the second factor was the dose of NPK fertilizer (P). These factors were combined into 9 treatments and repeated 3 times to produce 27 experimental units. Data analysis used further variance with the Duncan's Multiple Range Test at a significant level of 5% and the Correlation test. The results showed that there were significant differences in the interaction of rice straw mulch and Phonska NPK fertilizer doses on plant length and number of leaves 4 and 8 weeks after planting. While the variable number of leaves 2 and 4 weeks after planting, leaf area, number of pods, pod weight, fresh and dry weight of stover, and fresh and dry weight of roots did not show any significant interaction..Keywords: Yield, Long Beans, Rice StrawMulch, Growth, NPK Phonska Fertilizer.

Abstract

Production of sweet corn in Indonesia has decreased accompanied by increased consumer demand, the reason being the lack of availability of superior seeds and weed disturbances. The use of mulch and varieties can increase crop production. This study aims to determine the growth and yield of sweet corn with different types of mulch and varieties. This study used a randomized block design with two factors, the first factor was the type of mulch (M) and the second factor was the variety (V). M0 : without mulch, M1 : rice straw mulch, M2 : silver black plastic mulch, V1 : Master Sweet, V2 : Bonanza, M3 : Sweet Boy. These factors were combined into 9 treatments and repeated 3 times resulting in 27 experimental units. Data analysis used a 5% significant level of variance and then tested further with Duncan's Multiple Range Test at a 5% significant level and correlation test. The results showed that there were significant differences in the interaction between mulch types and varieties on stem diameter at 4, 6, and 8 weeks after planting. Fresh weight of cobs without corn kernels per plant, estimated per plot and per hectare. Meanwhile, the variables of plant height, number of leaves, cob length, cob diameter, number of seed rows, and brix showed no significant interaction.

Abstract

Identification of plants is a process of identifying plants to find out the types of plants in detail and complete and scientifically justifiable. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in characterization of 8 sugarcane clones and sugarcane clones that had good growth. The research was carried out at the Muhammadiyah Gresik Hollywood University Experimental Garden, Klangonan Village, Gresik at an altitude of 56 meters above sea level (masl). The time for conducting the research was from April to July 2022. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with one factor, namely 8 types ofclones including: Clones SB27,SB28,SB30,SB31,SB32,SB33, SB34, SB Green,SB200. Each treatment plot clone was repeated 3 times so that there were 27 trial plots. Data analysis used ANOVA with a 5% F test. If there is a significant difference, proceed with 5% DMRT analysis, correlation test, heritability. Morphological data was processed by analyzing plant descriptions. If there is a significant difference, proceed with 5% DMRT analysis, correlation test, heritability. Morphological data was processed by analyzing plant descriptions. The high category of heritability and genetic progress was seen in the stem height (20.55%), cane weight (41.45%), and the brix value was moderately high (5.92%)

Abstract

The production of edamame soybeans in Indonesia has not been able to meet the needs of quite a lot of consumers each year. The use of organic materials such as planting media and fertilization aims to increase the production of edamame soybean plants. This study aims to determine the growth and yield of edamame soybean plants due to the application of various growing media and the dosage of inorganic fertilizers used. This study used a two-factor randomized block design, the first factor was various media (M) and the second factor was fertilizer dose (P). M0 = Soil M1 = Mixture of husk charcoal and soil (1:1) M2 = Mixture of sawdust and soil (1:1) P1 = 25% Recommended dose, P2 = 50% recommended dose, P3 = 75% recommended dose, P4 = 100% recommended dose. These factors were combined into 12 treatments, each treatment was repeated 3 times to produce 36 experimental units. Data analysis used a significant level of variance of 5% and then tested further with the smallest significant difference at the 5% significant level and correlation test. The results showed that there were significant differences in the interaction of various media and fertilizer doses on plant height 6 weeks after planting, plant pod weight and pod weight per hectare.
