Abstract

The production of edamame soybeans in Indonesia has not been able to meet the needs of quite a lot of consumers each year. The use of organic materials such as planting media and fertilization aims to increase the production of edamame soybean plants. This study aims to determine the growth and yield of edamame soybean plants due to the application of various growing media and the dosage of inorganic fertilizers used. This study used a two-factor randomized block design, the first factor was various media (M) and the second factor was fertilizer dose (P). M0 = Soil M1 = Mixture of husk charcoal and soil (1:1) M2 = Mixture of sawdust and soil (1:1) P1 = 25% Recommended dose, P2 = 50% recommended dose, P3 = 75% recommended dose, P4 = 100% recommended dose. These factors were combined into 12 treatments, each treatment was repeated 3 times to produce 36 experimental units. Data analysis used a significant level of variance of 5% and then tested further with the smallest significant difference at the 5% significant level and correlation test. The results showed that there were significant differences in the interaction of various media and fertilizer doses on plant height 6 weeks after planting, plant pod weight and pod weight per hectare.

Abstract

This study analyzes the correlation between the Nahwu Sulamus Shibyan and Jurumiyah books in qowaid learning (al-Qawaid al-Nahwiyyah). The research aimed to compare both books based on Mackey's theoretical framework, which includes the aspects of selection, gradation, presentation, and repetition. Qualitative (library research) and comparative descriptive methods were used and the data were collected through documentation techniques and analyzed using content analysis. The findings revealed that Sulamus Shibyan applies an inductive approach while Jurumiyah applies a deductive method. Both books, designed for beginners, use simple language and rotary gradation with contextual presentation methods. However, they differ in repetition techniques. The study concluded that Sulamus Shibyan is more suitable and easier for beginners at Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Al Mubarok to understand al-Qowaid al-Nahwiyyah. This research contributed to determining the most effective textbook for novice Arabic learners, with Sulamus Shibyan recommended as a foundational guide for learning al-Qowaid al-Nahwiyyah in early-level Islamic education.

Abstract

Character education has become an urgent necessity in today's education system, which is facing a moral crisis, a decline in values, and changes brought about by technology. One important ethical approach that needs to be revisited is the thinking of Ibn Miskawaih, a classical Islamic philosopher who offers a framework for moral education based on rationality and character development. The purpose of this article is to examine the concept of character education through the lens of ethical philosophy proposed by Ibn Miskawaih, assess its weaknesses, and formulate a new conceptual construct to remain relevant to the educational context of the 21st century. Through literature review and critical analysis, it was found that Miskawaih's ethics are based on four main pillars: self-control, courage, wisdom, and justice. However, there are contextual limitations that require these values to be reformulated to align with social changes, the digital education era, and modern psychological approaches. This article proposes the integration of classical ethical values with contemporary pedagogy, digital technology, and developmental psychology approaches to create a comprehensive, contextual, and practical character education.
