Abstract

Touchable interface is one of the future interfaces that can be implemented at any medium such as water, table or even sand. The word multi touch refers to the ability to distinguish between two or more fingers touching a touch-sensing surface, such as a touch screen or a touch pad. This interface is provided tracking the area by using depth camera and projected the interface into the medium. This interface is widely used in augmented reality environment. User will project the particular interface into real world medium and user hand will be tracked simultaneously when touching the area. User can interact in more freely ways and as natural as human did in their daily life

Abstract

Stroke patient basically suffer from limited movement, they cannot control their balance very well, therefore the therapy that involve repetitive motion, harmonization and stability workout should be applied to them. The invention of Kinect has lead people to applied this device as a tool for recovering patient from stroke because its capability on tracking the skeletal of human body. Racing Game is very popular among the adults, elderly and even kids, the rule it’s quite simple and understandable. The combination between the racing game and natural interface will lead to innovative application which is potential to be used as home therapy for post stroke patient. User will be required to move some parts of their body such as both hand, arm, head and even shoulder. The body tracking is provided by depth camera that can capture and interpret human body gesture recognition to be used as interaction command. The human skeleton will be displayed onto screen to control the car in the game and the result of racing will be synchronized with user excitement which is recorded through Kinect video.

Abstract

This research is purposed to increase computer function into a time driven to support real time system. This purposed would the processor can work according to determined time variable and can work optimally in a certained deadline. The first approachment to design some of processor that has a different bit space 64, 32, 16 and 8 bits. Each processor will be separated by selector/arbiter priority of a task. In addition, the design of the above processors are designed as a counter with varying levels of accuracy (variable precision computing). The selection is also done by using statistical control in the task are observed by the appearance of controller mounted on the front of the architecture bit space the second approach above. The last approach to ‘add’ certainty in the form of interval arithmetic precision cutting task that can be the upper bound and lower bound of the area (bounds). These four approachment can be structured orthogonally into a processor/several processors by introducing a new classifier that serves as a selector or a task arbiter. The results of the four approaches to prove that the processor is prepared by incorporating a variable bitspace adder selectors can provide optimality of 0.43%.

Abstract

The Internet of Farming be dependent on data gathered from sensor of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). The WSN requires a reliable connectivity to provide accurate prediction data of the farming system. This paper introduces a mechanism that gives always best connectivity (ABC). The mechanism considers all stakeholders (mobile node, corresponding node and users) attributes. An empirical simulation shows that the proposed mechanism provides an acceptable ABC to the mobile sensors in the WSN.

Abstract

Older people with chronic conditions even lead to some disabilities face many challenges in performing daily life. Assistive robot is considered as a tool to provide companionship and assist daily life of older people and disabled people. This paper presents a review of assistive robotic technology, particularly for older people and disabled people. The result of this review constitutes a step towards the development of assistive robots capable of helping some problems of older people and disabled people. Hence, they may remain in at home and live independently.

Abstract

Student academic failure are caused by several factors such as: family relationship, study time, absence, parent education, travel time and etc. This study observe several factors which are related to student academic failure by calculating the centrality degree between students to find the correlation between failure factors for each students. Furthermore, each student will be measured by measuring the geodesic distance for each factors for hierarchical clustering. The flow betwenness measure and hierarchical clustering show the promising result, where students who has similar factors value are tends to be grouped together in the same cluster. The student with high value of flow betwenness is considered as broker of network and play vital character inside network. The result of study is believed can bring important and useful information toward the student performance analysis for future better education.

Abstract

Machine learning enables computers to learn from large amounts of data without specific programming. Besides its commercial application, companies are starting to recognize machine learning importance and possibilities in order to transform their data assets into business value. This study explores integration of machine learning into business core processes, while enabling predictive analytics that can increase business values and provide competitive advantage. It proposes machine learning algorithm based on regression analysis for a business solution in large enterprise company in Macedonia, while predicting real-value outcome from a given array of business inputs. The results show that most of the machine learning predictive values for the desired process output deviated from 0 to 15% of actual employees' decision. Hence, it verifies the appropriateness of the chosen approach, with predictive accuracy that can be meaningful in practice. As a machine learning case study in business context, it contains valuable information that can help companies understand the significance of machine learning for enterprise computing. It also points out some potential pitfalls of machine learning misuse.

Abstract

Human facial feature extraction is an important process in the face recognition system. The quality of the results from the extraction of human facial features is determined by the degree of accuracy. The weighting of human facial features is used to test the accuracy of the methods used. This research produces the process of weighting the facial features automatically. The results obtained are the same as those seen by the human eyes.

Abstract

An Internship course becomes one of many compulsory subjects in Under graduate Program of Informatics Engineering in Ahmad Dahlan University, Yogyakarta. In the last few semesters, we found that some students were failed in taking this subject. After being identified, they were facing some obstacles such as determining the main theme for their job description. During this study, we proposed an application to classify the internship titles by using a technique in text mining called Shared Nearest-Neighbor and Cosine Similarity. From the result, we got values from the parameter K is 7, the epsilon value is 0.5, and the value of Mint t is 0.3 with 22 clusters and 0 outlier. These values presented that all data titles of internship activitiesareclassified into each cluster. 7 topics whichtook by majority of students are:1) Information Systems (7 titles);2) Instructional Media (5 titles);3)Archiving Applications (4 titles);4) Web Profile Implementation (3 titles); 5)Instructional Media for University Courses (3 titles); Multimedia (3 titles) and 6)Workshop & Training (3 titles).

Abstract

This research proposes the development of Arabic language service. It is a servlet-based Webservice which provides a translation from English into Arabic, using techniques to develop Webservices such as Restful and API in Java language. This API is part of Language Grid, aproject in Japan to collect, share and combine as many language resources as possible bywrapping the language resources as web services, which is also known as Everything as a Service(XaaS) technology. By having Arabic language services connected in the Language Grid, therewill be a wider use of Arabic language resource in the world. An evaluation of running theservice is provided to enhance the performance and reliability of the service.
