Abstract

This research is conducted based on low learning outcomes of students especially on science subjects.This research is conducted based on low learning outcomes of students especially on science subjects.The low learning outcomes of studentThe low learning outcomes of studentcan not be separated from the learning process that lasted for this.can not be separated from the learning process that lasted for this.One effort to overcome these problems is by usingthe Quantum Teaching strategy in learning.One effort to overcome these problems is by usingthe Quantum Teaching strategy in learning.The purpose of this study is to reveal the influence of Quantum Teaching strategy and students'motivation to increase the learning outcomes of science.The purpose of this study is to reveal the influence of Quantum Teaching strategy and students'motivation to increase the learning outcomes of science.This research used Quasi Experiment with 2x2 factorial design.This research used Quasi Experiment with 2x2 factorial design.The population in this study were students of class V at Gugus 1 Kecamatan Padang Barat Kota Padang.The population in this study were students of class V at Gugus 1 District of Padang Barat Kota Padang.The sample of this research was chosen by simple random sampling technique.The sample of this research was chosen by simple random sampling technique.Research data obtained from the results of test and questionnaire about students'motivation.Research data obtained from the results of test and questionnaire about students'motivation.Data analysis was done by using t-test technique.Data analysis was done by using t-test technique.The results showed that the science outcomes of students who were taught with Quantum Teaching strategies were better than the students who were taught by using conventional strategy.The results showed that the science outcomes of students who were taught with Quantum Teaching strategies were better than the students who were taught by using conventional strategy. Learning outcomes of students with high motivation who were taught with Quantum Teaching strategies are better than highly motivated learners taught by conventional strategy. The same thing shown that low-motivated learners who taught with Quantum Teaching strategies are better than low-motivated learners taught by conventional learning strategy.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the leadership style of Junior High School. This research focused on the leadership style of the headmaster, communication with the teachers, employees and the improved teachers’ performance. This research was conducted at Junior High School and used qualitative data collection method with one headmaster of junior high school and 10 teachers. This research used observation, interview and documentation study. The result shows that the headmaster of Junior High School had done the leadership duty very well; by used democratic and transformational style, and authoritarian if needed. The subject always tried to improve teachers’ maximum performance, communicated efficiently and interactively. Then, there are some major role in the school’s improvement and achievements, either academic or non academic. It became the proof that there is a relationship between maximum teacher performance and student achievement at Junior High School. From this research results, there were suggested that headmaster need to maintain and improve the school’s quality.

Abstract

Effect of Cooperative Model of Jigsaw Type Learning and Student Interest in improving learning outcomes in SMA Negeri 1 Sutera. The research method used in writing this essay in accordance with the type of research is quasi experimental research (quasi experimental), where the research variables can not be fully controlled. This research has a control group. The research design used to measure learning method and student's interest  toward  the result  of  dissemination  of culture and  religion.  This  research  is parenting at level (2x2), with state of student interest level. The results of the study revealed  (1)  the  learning  outcomes  of  students  who  were  taught  by  the  Jigsaw cooperative  model  approach  were  better  than  the  conventional  approach,  (2)  the students' learning outcomes had high interests taught by the Jigsaw type cooperative model better than the conventional approach, (3) learning of students with low interests taught by Jigsaw type cooperative models is better than conventional models

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the influence of Problem Based Learning Model and Learning Motivation to Expository Text Writing Skills of Students Grade VII MTsN Bukittinggi. The type of research is quasi experiment and the design used is factorial design 2x2. Sampling is done by purposive sampling. Data analysis and discussion were conducted through descriptive-analysis. The analysis results of data were as follows. First, writing expository text taught using the Problem Based Learning model is better than students taught by conventional learning models. Second, Second, writing the expositional text of students who have high learning motivation taught by using Problem Based Learning model is better than those taught with conventional learning model. Third, writing the expositional text of students who have low learning motivation taught by using Problem Based Learning model is better than those taught with conventional learning model. Fourthly, there is no interaction between learning motivation and the learning model in influencing the ability to write expository text of students. In the next description, PBL is used for Problem Based Learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to know the effect of teach of type in cooperative learning group investigation model Too many nouns and the effect of the first student’s knowledge in students learning in mathematics. Kind of this research that used is quasi experiment. The research sample were 24 students on experiment and students on control group. The analysis data used test- t and anova two way test. The first result of the students' mathematics learning that follows the cooperative learning model of group investigation higher than the students who follow the direct learning both seen in whole, and based on the high and low initial knowledge. Secondly, there is no interaction between cooperative learning model of group investigation type and initial knowledge in influencing student's mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aimedat observing the effect of eksploration style and command styletoward volleyball basic skills achievement.  Type of the research wasquasi-experimental(Quasy experiment). The population of this study are high school students of Bukit Barisan class X and XI who follow extracurricular activities of volleyball at least eighty student, while the sample in this study is 20 male students using total sampling technique. The instrument used in this study was a basic bolavoli skill test. Data were analyzed by using t-test (dependent sample and Independent sample) The results ofdata analysisshow that:(1) There are influences eksploration style which significantly to the volleyball basic skills in Students Senior High School Bukit Barisan  be obtained the value of t count = 5,61 > t table = 2,26, (2) There are influences command style which significantly to the volleyball basic skills in Students Senior High School Bukit Barisan be obtained the value of t count = 5,93 > t table = 2,26,(3) Eksploration style is more better than series of command style to the volleyball basic skills in Students Senior High School Bukit Barisan be obtained the value of t count = 1,99 > t table = 1,76. The usage exploration method is better than command methode.

Abstract

Writing is one of the important skills that should be mastered by the students. In writing, the students need to express their feeling in a good way and well-organized. In fact, most of students were lack of idea and could not write well-organized in written form. The purpose of this research was to find out the effect of Peer Conference Strategy and students’ self-confidence toward the writing skill of recount text. The sample consists of 64 students. The research data was collected using writing test and self-confidence questionnaires. Data analysis was using t-test and Two Ways ANOVA. The analysis of the research results shows that (1) Peer Conference strategy was effective than expository strategy; (2) Peer Conference strategy was effective to high self-confidence students; (3) Peer Conference strategy was not effective to low self-confidence students; (4) There was an interaction both teaching strategies and self-confidence in writing skill.
