Abstract

This study aims to: (1) describe the aggressive behavior of students, (2) describe students' self-control abilities, (3) the significant test of the relationship between self-control and the tendency of students to behave aggressively. The type of research is quantitative with a descriptive correlational approach. The population of research was 475 students of Tanjung Mutiara 1 Senior High School, sampling using the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique, and obtained a sample of 217 students. The instrument used is a questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale. The data obtained were analyzed using percentage techniques and to see the relationship between the two variables used the Pearson Product Moment Correlation technique. The research findings show that: (1) the tendency of aggressive behavior of students is in the high category, (2) self-control of students is in the moderate category, (3) there is a negative and significant relationship between self-control and the tendency to aggressively behave students with correlation coefficients -0.240 and a significance level of 0,000. This means that the higher the self control, the lower the tendency for students to behave aggressively. Conversely, the lower the self control, the higher the tendency of aggressive behavior of students

Abstract

This research is motivated by integrated thematic learning that has not been well implemented, is still in the process of improving. This causes the integrated thematic learning process to be carried out to the maximum. The purpose of this study, to improve the integrated thematic learning process using the Discovery Learning model. This type of research is classroom action research using qualitative and quantitative approaches. This research was conducted in the second semester of the 2018/2019 academic year. The results of the study showed an increase in: (1) the learning plan, namely cycle I obtained a percentage of 78% (enough), cycle II obtained a percentage of 93.75% (Very Good). (2) the implementation of learning cycle I obtained a percentage of 79.7% (Enough), cycle II obtained a percentage of 90.6% (Very Good). It can be concluded that the Discovery Learning model can improve the integrated thematic learning process in elementary schools.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of full day school students who experience learning saturation so that it has an impact on the level of student learning motivation that is low. This study aims to examine the contribution of learning saturation to the motivation to learn full day school students. The total sample of 90 students of SMP Negeri 4 Dumai was chosen using stratified random sampling. The instrument used is a likert scale model. Data were analyzed with the SPSS program. The results of this study reveal that there is a significant relationship between saturation of learning and learning motivation with a correlation coefficient of -0.622 which is at a significance level of 0,000 and the contribution of learning saturation to full day school students' motivation is 38.7%. This can be interpreted that the higher the level of learning saturation, the lower student learning motivation. With these findings it is expected that counselor can provide guidance and counseling services such as information services, individual counseling services, group guidance services, and group counseling services, to help reduce learning saturation and increase student motivation.

Abstract

This research is an experimental research that aims to prove the positive influence of the Use of Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model on the Ability to Solve Mathematical Problems in SD Gugus IV Padang City. This study was Quasy Experiment. The population in this study were all elementary school students who were in Gugus IV North Padang. The samples in this study using Cluster Random Sampling and the sample used in this study was 51 people. Before determining the sample, a prerequisite test for normality and homogeneity has been carried out. The instrument used is a multiple choice objective test.Based on the analysis of the results of the t-test with a significant level of 5% (0.05) obtained tcount (4.72440944) and ttable (1.67655). So that t count> t table, where 4,72440944> 1,67655. It proves that Ha is accepted, namely the existence of positive influence from the use of Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model on the Ability to Solve Mathematical Problems in SD Gugus IV Padang City.
