Abstract

This research investigates the efficacy of environmental policies in addressing climate change as well as the effects those policies have on both the environment and civilization. The research was derived from a survey of the relevant literature as well as a case study of various policies implemented in a particular area. According to the findings of the research, certain types of policies, such as those based on markets, are more successful than others, such as policies based on volunteer participation, in terms of accomplishing environmental objectives. The research also shows that the amount of involvement and participation of stakeholders, as well as the social and political environment in which policies are enacted, all play a role in determining the degree to which policies are successful. In both the process of developing policies and making decisions, the significance of developing policies based on evidence, engaging relevant stakeholders, and maintaining a dedication to social equality and environmental justice is highlighted by the research. The findings of this study have implications for policy development and decision-making, and they highlight the need for an approach to environmental policy that is comprehensive and integrated, promotes sustainable development, and takes into consideration the complex and interrelated nature of environmental issues.

Abstract

An growing number of police agencies are implementing a strategy called "community policing," which seeks to improve law enforcement by fostering trust and communication between police and the communities they serve. This study examines the implementation and outcomes of community policing tactics in Jakarta, Indonesia, through the lens of a case study analysis. The study found that while community policing can have a positive impact on various aspects of community life, there are challenges and limitations to its implementation in Jakarta, including the lack of resources and funding, the hierarchical structure of the police force, and the lack of public awareness and understanding of community policing. The study recommends that Jakarta's policymakers and law enforcement agencies allocate adequate resources and funding to community policing initiatives in order to address these problems.

Abstract

To what extent have social protection initiatives in Bangladesh been successful in reducing poverty? Our search of academic databases yielded a total of 10 studies that fulfilled our requirements for inclusion. Our research shows that social security programs like government-funded cash handouts, medical coverage, and food stamps have helped reduce poverty in rural Bangladesh. The results of this analysis will shed light on the efficacy of Bangladesh's social protection programs and guide future policy decisions for strengthening their implementation and influence. However, problems with program execution and maintenance continue to be an issue. Our analysis emphasizes the significance of improving program design and execution to reach the most vulnerable populations in Bangladesh, as well as the need for additional research on the long-term effect and sustainability of social security programs in that country.

Abstract

Online disinformation has become a significant problem in the Philippines, particularly during election periods. This paper examines the legal and ethical implications of online disinformation and presents case studies that illustrate the potential impact of false information on public opinion and democratic processes. The results show that while legal frameworks exist to address online disinformation, enforcement remains a challenge, and there is a need for responsible online behavior and effective regulation to combat the spread of false information. The ethical implications of online disinformation emphasize the importance of media literacy and responsible reporting, as well as the need for accountability among those who engage in the spread of false information. The case studies demonstrate the potential harm caused by online disinformation and the impact it can have on democratic processes. By addressing these issues, we can work towards a more informed and democratic society in which the spread of false information is minimized..
