Abstract

The purpose of this research was to assess the strengths and weaknesses of a public administration organization's hacking policies and practices. According to the findings, the company has a solid cybersecurity base thanks to its comprehensive policies and ongoing training and awareness programs. Nonetheless, there were also opportunities for development, such as in access controls and vulnerability evaluations. A more thorough cybersecurity policy, the use of role-based access control, and more frequent and thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration testing were among the best practices and improvement suggestions uncovered by the research. The company will be better able to safeguard sensitive data and prevent future attacks by implementing these suggestions. This research serves as a useful reminder of the significance of cybersecurity in public administration and emphasizes the need for constant vigilance and advancement in order to remain one step ahead of new threats.

Abstract

The effects of online media on friendships among young people in metropolitan India are investigated. Convenience sampling was used to enroll 100 participants, and data was gathered from semi-structured interviews. Convenience, long-distance relationships, communication network, overwhelm, anxiety, and less face-to-face contact were the six themes that emerged from the data analysis. The findings imply that while digital communication facilitates convenience and aids in maintaining long-distance relationships, it can also contribute to feelings of overload and anxiety due to the constant flow of information. In addition, less time is spent talking to people face-to-face because of digital contact. The results of this study shed light on the impact that technology has on the social lives of metropolitan Indian youth.

Abstract

Corruption has been a longstanding issue in Indonesia, with negative consequences for economic growth, social welfare, and democratic governance. This paper aims to provide an overview of the current state of corruption in Indonesia, as well as lessons learned from previous anti-corruption efforts and future directions for tackling corruption. Through a review of the literature, the paper finds that corruption remains a pervasive problem in Indonesia, with the country ranking 102 out of 180 countries on the Corruption Perceptions Index 2020. The paper also highlights that previous anti-corruption efforts have been insufficient in addressing the root causes of corruption, which include weak governance institutions, lack of transparency and accountability, and inadequate enforcement of anti-corruption laws. In terms of future directions, the paper suggests a multi-pronged approach that includes strengthening anti-corruption institutions, addressing underlying drivers of corruption, engaging civil society, and promoting ethical leadership. The paper also emphasizes the importance of sustained political will and leadership for the success of anti-corruption efforts. Overall, this paper provides insights into the challenges and opportunities for tackling corruption in Indonesia, which is critical for promoting economic development, social welfare, and democratic governance.

Abstract

Carbon pricing policies are investigated for their efficacy and fairness in reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Asian nations. Through an examination of various policy frameworks, we conclude that carbon pricing policies are the most promising for lowering global warming pollution. However, the distributional effects of these policies on family income are not uniform. We find that rebates or investment in renewable energy are effective revenue recycling methods for reducing the regressive impact of carbon pricing policies on low-income households. In addition, it may be easier to reach climate targets if policy designs put an emphasis on lowering emissions rather than increasing income. These results indicate that carbon pricing policies may play a significant role in reducing the effects of global warming, but that they must be designed with equity considerations in mind to be both successful and fair. Policymakers can benefit from more information about the design and implementation of carbon pricing policies across sectors, income groups, and regions in order to successfully mitigate climate change while assuring their equity.

Abstract

The effects of social media and other forms of online communication on individual and group dynamics are investigated. Five hundred individuals were surveyed to gather data on the effects of social media on mental health, online activism, digital citizenship, and other pertinent issues. The aim of this article is to investigate the effects of social media and other forms of online communication on individual and group dynamics. The findings indicate that digital media can have both positive and negative effects on consumers and that the relationship between media and human interaction is complex. The majority of respondents identified online activism as a potent instrument for social change, and almost all agreed that digital citizenship is essential for the safe and ethical use of digital technologies. Numerous individuals reported negative outcomes as a result of excessive social media utilization, indicating the prevalence of social media addiction. Last but not least, the study found that social comparison is a significant factor in both social media addiction and adverse mental health effects. These findings highlight the importance of individuals acquiring digital literacy skills, monitoring their online behavior, and making an effort to utilize digital media in a positive manner. Understanding the effects of digital media on human communication and behavior is crucial for developing countermeasures.
