Abstract

The test results on specimens without GFRP-S reinforcement showed that there was a decrease in load capacity for BN0 specimens of 1.383%. Decrease in BN6 test material capacity after soaking sea water for 6 months. Whereas for specimens with reinforcement of GFRP-S shows a decrease in maximum load on BF6 and BF12 specimens against BF0 test objects. The percentage of decrease in loads is 3.898% and 4.285%, respectively. Decreased load capacity of BF12 specimens after 12 months of seawater immersion. This is due to a decrease in the capacity of the bond on the GFRP along with the soaking time, thus accelerating the occurrence of debonding.

Abstract

Poverty is one of the major problem that frequently faced by human. Begin from poverty, consequently emerged several social issues, such as homeless, beggar, defendant, and prostitution. On this research were conducted modeling poverty degree in Soppeng with using number of poor household as the dependent variable. Modeling were done by using area approach which is a Spatial Autoregressive (SAR) model and Spatial Error Model (SEM). As for the independent variable used on this research is the number of health services, school facility, population density, social well being disable, and the distance on village and centre of Soppeng.  Regarding to the analysis of Spatial Autoregressive (SAR) and Spatial Error Model (SEM) shows that there is a spatial dependency lag and error on number of poor household variable. As for the independent variable which have the significancy account for 5% on Spatial Autoregressive (SAR) and Spatial Error Model (SEM) are every variables with a number R2= 90,9% on SAR and R2= 90,1% on SEM.

Abstract

Indonesia's maritime triumph from history to being written in a song lyric is not a question, especially its reliability in making Pinisi boats whose processes are full of local wisdom and cultural values reflected in everyday life. The research conducted in Bira Village, Bontobahari Sub-district, Bulukumba District in            May 2018 aims to examine the rationalism of making pinisi boats with Weber's perspective approach. The aim is to use qualitative methods with Weber's approach in the verstehen perspective. The findings show that the making of the Pinisi boat is still filled with mystical nuances of religion ranging from the determination of the day of manufacture to its launch in the sea even though the elements of modernization began to come in to streamline time and streamline costs as a form of rationality in acting, as in Weber's perspective, zwerk rational, werk rational, affectual action, and traditional actions

Abstract

This study discusses about the optimal control on dengue fever distribution model using the minimum principle of Pontryagin. Dengue is a disease caused by dengue virus it transmitted by the female mosquitos species, namely Aedes aegeypti and Aedes Albopictus. Thus disease cause death if not treated seriously. The disease can be prevented by vaccine, called Chimeric Yellow Fever 17D-Tetravalent Dengue Vaccine(CYD-TDV).  The discussion starts from determining the SIR model using the controls, determining the optimal control using the minimum principle of Pontryagin , the simulation using Maple software and the result analysis. In this study obtained the system of differential equations, optimal control equations, and graphs of the SIR model without using controls and using the control. Based on the results obtained concluded that by adding control factor to SIR model can minimize the number of infected individuals.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of the application of case studies on knowledge of violations of the professional code of ethics in the IT field for students majoring in Mechanical Systems Automation. The research method used was an experiment with the design of "one shot case study". The study was conducted on students who program Professional Ethics courses majoring in Mechanical Systems Automation.  The results of this study indicate that the value of students after doing a case study has increased. This shows that the case study method in this learning is appropriate to use.

Abstract

The design of iron (Fe) and Copper (Cu) thermocouples has been carried out for temperature sensors. The sensor will be made of two different types of materials namely iron and copper. The reference temperature used is 10C. The data collection procedure is first of all a thermocouple with a hot junction is tied together with a solder as a heat source. Besides that, it is also tied to a factory thermocouple that functions as a calibrator. Then the other end of the thermocouple (cold junction) will be inserted into a container containing ice cubes. Then the ports for each thermocouple will be connected to a multimeter, each of which is used to measure temperature (0C) and voltage (mV). From the results of observations and analyzes, it was found that for iron and copper thermocouples had the following characteristics: Seebeck coefficient was 0.001, the mean temperature rises and falls respectively (106.17 ± 0.82) 0C and (118.67 ± 0.90) 0C. The sensitivity of the thermocouple is 0.5 mV / 0C with linearity of 0.9.

Abstract

The 0.7 M SO4/ZrO2 catalyst was synthesized from the ZrO2 precursor with 0.7 M H2SO4 through the wet impregnation method, then examined the effect of calcination temperature (400 and 500 oC) on the catalyst through characterization using XRD, FT-IR, SEM-EDX, and acidity test using ammonia as the adsorbate base. The 0.7 M SO4/ZrO2-400 catalyst had two types of crystalline phases namely monoclinic and a small peak of metastable tetragonal, while the crystalline phase of 0.7 M SO4/ZrO2-500 was only monoclinic. The results of FT-IR analysis showed that the four typical bands of sulfate ions that were perfectly coordinated with zirconium cations were found both at 400 and 500 oC calcination temperatures with almost the same band intensity. However, the acidity test results showed that the 0.7 M SO4/ZrO2-400 catalyst had a total acidity that was slightly greater than 0.7 M SO4/ZrO2-500 which was 5.74 and 5.59 mmol g-1 respectively. The results of SEM-EDX analysis also showed that the surface of the 0.7 M SO4/ZrO2-400 catalyst was also brighter than 0.7 M SO4/ZrO2-500 which indicated that more sulfate ions were impregnated on the surface of zirconia with the SO3 species mass was 5.75% while the SO3 species mass of 0.7 M SO4/ZrO2-500 was only 4.62%.
