Abstract

This study aims to analyze the changes in the coastline in the coastal of Makassar city by using Digital Shoreline Analysis System (DSAS) method. The data used in this study was secondary data in the form of Landsat 5 and Landsat 8 digital satellite data which were acquired on 8 April 2019 and have been corrected radiometrically and geometrically obtained from the Lembaga Penerbangan dan Antariksa Nasional (LAPAN). The data was processed using ArcGIS 10.3 to obtain the overlay result. Shoreline Movement (NSM) and End Point Rate (EPR) methods used to calculate shoreline change calculations. Observation of shoreline changes takes 12 years using data in 2006, 2010, 2013, and 2018. Based on the results of the analysis with the method of Digital Shoreline Analysis System (DSAS) found that during 12 years the coast of Makassar experienced a change in coastline which is accretion due to reclamation that occurred in Tallo and Tamalate sub-districts.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design a pond water quality monitoring tool using a microcontroller. The results showed that the temperature value at the location of the pond in the Palopo City fortress ranged from 24,339 0C to 26,044 0C for the first pond. While on the second pond, the temperature value ranges from 24,648 0C to 25,793 0C. For data on the condition of water salinity in the first and second ponds in the fortress area of Palopo, respectively are 500.72 ppm to 528.72 ppm and 536.39 ppm to 540.84 ppm. While data from the measurement of water quality in the rongkong river area shows that the temperature of the first pond is in the range of 27,011 0C to 27,835 0C. The temperature for the second pond is in the range of 26,418 0C to 27,392 0C. The condition of the first and second pond watersheds were 499.86 ppm to 524.60 ppm and 508.92 ppm to 536.16 ppm respectively.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of N2-fixing microbes contained in organic organic fertilizers at four levels of nitrogen fertilizer application in increasing the performance of oil palm seedlings. The experiment was carried out in the form of an experiment using a Randomized Block Design with 2 factors: organic organic fertilizer and nitrogen fertilizer. The first factor with three levels of treatment, namely without organic biological fertilizer, Organic fertilizer from cow dung (Agro Flower) 1 g / kg of Soil and Organic organic fertilizer (Biost) 1 g / kg of Soil. While the second factor consists of four levels, namely without N fertilizer, N fertilizer 50% of the standard dose, N fertilizer 100% of the standard dose, and N fertilizer of 150% of the standard dose. Each treatment was tested on 4 oil palm seedlings and repeated 3 times, so that 144 experimental plants were obtained. The observations made were the variable plant performance includes plant height, number of leaves, and stem diameter. Variants of plant nutrient levels included total N nutrient levels, P nutrient levels, and K nutrient levels. The results showed that N-inhibiting microbes contained in organic organic fertilizer increased plant height and stem diameter significantly in oil palm nurseries. The use of a 100% dose of N fertilizer together with organic biofertilizers shows the best crop performance results.

Abstract

This study aims to study the effect of banana (Musa paradisiaca forma typica) liquid organic fertilizer on the growth of chili (Capsicum frutescens L.). Based on the results of the study, the dose of organic fertilizer increased for vegetative growth (growth of root length, stem height and number of leaves of chili) while in generative growth (average number of flowers, number of fruits, many plants, and many plants), chili plants produce facts, produces large quantities, number of plants, wet weight of plants, and wet weight of chili.

Abstract

The ATC determination method in this study uses line  thermal constraints by calculating reactive power flow, and using Linear Power Transfer Distribution Factor. The ATC determination considers the magnitude of the voltage magnitude and the static voltage stability of each bus after the power transfer simulation is performed. Static voltage stability is calculated using the L Index. The results showed that the transfer of power equal to the ATC value in an electric power system caused a decrease in voltage stability or an increase in the L index value on the receiving bus on average 19 times the initial loading condition, even though it was still at a stable level. While the receiver bus voltage magnitude has decreased

Abstract

This research aims to determine the value of mechanical properties in fiber fibers which are submerged in seawater and to find out the optimum length of fiber fibers to the mechanical properties of fiber fibers which are submerged in sea water. The method used is an experimental method carried out in the laboratory by varying the length of the fibers, which is 25 mm; 50 mm; 75 mm; and 100 mm with 4% fiber addition. Tests of mechanical properties carried out in the form of compressive strength, split tensile strength, and flexural strength. The results of the research challenge the palm fiber-concrete that the longer the fibers used in the concrete, the mechanical properties decrease. Fiber concrete submerged in seawater has higher mechanical properties than normal concrete. Optimum fiber length length in fiber concrete from the results of this study is 25 mm.
