Abstract

Pertambahan jumlah penduduk yang semakin cepat menuntut adanya upaya alternatif untuk menyediakan pangan sehat yang cukup bagi masyarakat. Salah satu solusi alternatif atas permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan menggalakkan sistem budidaya tanaman secara hidroponik dengan memanfaatkan limbah stryofom bekas sebagai wadah bercocok tanam. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan bagi anggota Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) Biologi tingkat SMA di Kabupaten Takalar dalam melakukan budidaya tanaman secara hidroponik dengan memanfaatkan limbah stryofom bekas sebagai wadah bercocok tanam. Setelah menyelesaikan kegiatan PKM, peserta juga diharapkan bisa mengintegrasikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang mereka miliki dalam Kegiatan Belajar Mengajar (KBM) khususnya pada materi pelajaran yang relevan dengan topik pelatihan. Kegiatan PKM ini dilaksanakan dengan model pemberdayaan kelompok sasaran dengan pendekatan Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) dan Community Empowerment (CE). Setelah pelatihan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan, wawasan dan keterampilan dasar kelompok mitra tentang teknik budidaya tanaman secara hidroponik dan peningkatan antusiasme pemanfaatan stryofoam bekas sebagai wadah media tanam secara hidroponik. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dari kuisioner, kelompok mitra merasa puas dan menilai kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat dan dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

This study aims to study the effect of banana (Musa paradisiaca forma typica) liquid organic fertilizer on the growth of chili (Capsicum frutescens L.). Based on the results of the study, the dose of organic fertilizer increased for vegetative growth (growth of root length, stem height and number of leaves of chili) while in generative growth (average number of flowers, number of fruits, many plants, and many plants), chili plants produce facts, produces large quantities, number of plants, wet weight of plants, and wet weight of chili.

Abstract

PKM Activities for Writing Scientific Papers at MTs Arifah, Gowa Regency is one of the service activities carried out by the State University Makassar of Biology Department Lecturer Team independently. From the results of observations and communication with teacher representatives, the majority of biology teachers at MTs Arifah Gowa spend most of their time completing ordinary teaching tasks. This means that teachers are trapped in work routines so that they do not carry out scientific writing activities to improve their abilities in writing. This is due to a number of reasons. One of these problems is a lack of knowledge regarding how to carry out scientific paper writing activities due to limited facilities and infrastructure. The aim of this training is to provide sufficient information and skills to partner groups on how to write scientific articles that are suitable for publication in accredited national scientific journals and how to publish them. The participants are expected to gain sufficient knowledge about how to write scientific articles that are suitable for publication in accredited national scientific journals. This training activity plans a training method consisting of three stages. First, participants are given material and information about techniques for writing and editing scientific articles for publication in accredited national scientific journals as well as strategies for publishing them in these journals. The second stage is the practice of writing scientific articles for publication in accredited national scientific journals. The third stage is a discussion and evaluation session.
