Abstract

Tourist loyalty is very important for tourist destinations as it showing commitment and willingness to recommend to other so the business processes in destination can continue to grow. This research aims to analyze the role of satisfaction in the influence of destination image through attitudinal loyalty in Medana Village, Tanjung – North Lombok from tourist’s perspective. The data collection of this research was carried out by purposive sampling method through the distribution of questionnaires, observations, literature studies and secondary data, also interviews. Analysis of the data used is path analysis using SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) with mediating effects and tested with AMOS and Sobel-test. The results stated that satisfaction is able to mediate the effect of destination image on attitude loyalty. However, there are still improvements needed to increase tourist satisfaction, such as develop a customer-centric strategy, formulate transformative services and gaining support from the association/industry.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effect of promotion and E-WOM on tourists’ intention to visit Denpasar and how the destination image as a mediating variable to increase the intention. Data were collected using a questionnaire to 104 respondents of foreign tourists who were in the province of Bali except for tourists who were in the city of Denpasar. The data were analysed using the Structure Equation Model (SEM) AMOS version 23. The results showed that, destination image had a significant effect on tourists' intention to visit. Promotion had no significant effect on intention to visit. E-WOM has no significant effect on intention to visit because. However, Promotion has a significant effect on visit intention through destination image with a Sobel test value of 3.214 as well as E-WOM has a significant effect on intention to visit through destination image with a Sobel test value of 2.840. It can be concluded that promotion and E-WOM are able to create a destination image, it will increase the Visiting Intention of tourists to Denpasar City.

Abstract

Bicycle tourism is booming in the tourism market and exists as a means of transportation in hundreds of cities around the world. However, in the Philippines, it was only popularized after the COVID-19 pandemic caused a transportation crisis and a massive decline in tourism growth. This qualitative study determines bicyclists’ perceptions, identified bicycling problems encountered, and explores bicycling opportunities in the new normal. The study utilized a phenomenological research design with data from virtual interviews with 10 bicyclists in Metro Manila. They were identified using purposive sampling and data saturation. The findings revealed that bicycle tourism is perceived as a sustainable activity that can promote and boost a destination’s local tourism. Meanwhile, using the bicycle as means of transportation is perceived as an efficient, affordable, and sustainable mode of active transportation and provides health benefits. It was also found to bring economic opportunities like job employment and became a catalyst for bicycle- related businesses to arise. Researchers concluded that bicycling would increase with these opportunities, This will pave the way for recovery, resulting in more sustainable tourism and transportation industry in the Philippines.

Abstract

This research covers micro-entrepreneurs with BMBE certification in the Province of Bataan, Philipine. Impact assessment of BMBE will be measured in terms of profit maximization, increase capitalization, effective marketing tools, improve technology utilization and increased job generation. Questionnaires are provided to BMBE certificate holders to determine the level of impact on the growth and development of micro-entrepreneurs. The quantitative approach is employed for this study to understand the general characteristics of the population using survey questionnaire. The appropriate sample for this study was determined using statistical G-Power Analysis Software. The statistical tests used were weighted mean, frequency and percentage for the descriptive statistics while for inferential statistics, paired samples t-test, and regression analysis were utilized. Weighted mean was utilized to describe the BMBE incentives paired samples t-test was used to compare the growth and development of the previous and current years. The frequency result for micro-entrepreneurs shows that respondents “Sometimes” avail BMBE incentives. Results showed that BMBE incentives availed by owners proved to have no significant impact to profit maximization. Meanwhile, BMBE incentives has positive significant on increase on capitalization. Lastly, the average job growth rate of the respondents is 237%.

Abstract

Training is one area of Talent Management practice which is implemented in most organizations and has been shown to improve service quality in 5-star hotels. Nevertheless, assessment of training programs is rarely undertaken in real-world situations. The purpose of this research is to assess the effectiveness of the training program using Kirkpatrick's theory and model. To achieve the purpose, this research adopted mixed method analysis through survey design using questionnaires and validated through in-depth interviews with Talent and Culture Manager. Implementing stratified proportioned sampling from 307 employees, the sample of this research is 75 employees representing all departments. The results indicate that the training program incorporates Kirkpatrick's theory of training effectiveness into good scores and is provided with a range of strategies to perpetually establish an effective training program. The findings of this study contribute to providing an overview of hotel and Talent & Culture management in order to emphasize the basics of an effective training program and its evaluation for the quality of hotel success. It also contributes to literature by expanding on how to assess the training program in the hotel and what practical features should be addressed.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are (1) to identify the tourism potential of Kedonganan Beach, (2) to identify tourism activities that can be carried out to support the development of fishery tourism on Kedonganan Beach, and (3) to develop innovations for the development of new fishery tourism products at Kedonganan Beach, Bali. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach using a snowball sampling technique. The data were obtained through observation, interviews, document studies and focus group discussions. The results show that Kedonganan Beach has natural tourism, artificial tourism and social tourism potentials. For activities that can be developed such as fisherman thematic photo shoot, beach club, kid’s playground, turtle conservation, gift shop, cooking class, educational tourism, museum, and pesca tourism. The conclusion is that the development of fishery tourism product innovation can be carried out at Kedonganan Beach with proper planning to make Kedonganan Beach a special tourist spot for the fishery region which has fishery tourism attractions and natural tourism activities.
