Abstract

Background: Current learning methods continue to develop, nursing students need effective learning methods to improve students' abilities and skills in achieving competencies, one of which is fulfilling human needs: oxygenation. Virtual care reality in 3600 video can be a real and concrete alternative learning method solution for students.Method: This research aims to determine the effect of virtual care reality in 3600 videos on skills in fulfilling basic human needs: oxygenation in nursing students. The research used a quasi experimental pre-post test design using a control group. The intervention group was given treatment in the form of Virtual Care Reality in video 3600 (VCR 3600) for 15 minutes at least three times in each video. VCR 3600 contains material about fulfilling basic human needs for oxygenation including suction, use of nasal cannulas, masks (Non-Rebreathing Mask/NRM and Rebreathing Mask/RM). Post-test measurements were carried out two weeks after the VCR 3600 intervention was carried out for the internalization phase first. The benefit of this research is that it is hoped that the VCR 3600 will be able to improve skills in fulfilling basic human needs: oxygenation in nursing studentsResults: The results of this study show that respondents are aged 18 - 20 years, with a median value of 19 years. The gender of the respondents was mostly female, the majority of respondents had never studied suction, the majority of respondents had never had experience studying material about administering oxygen therapy. The mean skills of suctioning and oxygen administration of respondents after the intervention in the intervention and control groups both increased. The results of further analysis showed that there was no significant difference in skills after the intervention between the intervention group and the control group (p value < 0.05).Conclusion: The results of the study showed that there was an increase in the skills of respondents after the intervention regarding suction and administering oxygen with standard precautions. Although there is no statistical effect of the VCR 3600 method on suctioning and oxygenation skills, the use of this method has the opportunity to increase students' knowledge and be used as a variation of practical learning methods.

Abstract

Introduction: Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease that has a high prevalence globally and often causes serious complications such as diabetic foot ulcers. Diabetic foot ulcers are one of the leading causes of nontraumatic amputations and significantly affect the quality of life and health of diabetic patients. Treatment of diabetic foot ulcers is a challenge for healthcare because it involves various factors that hinder the healing process. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of topical propolis as an adjuvant in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers. Methods: Data were analyzed from quality studies indexed in the SCOPUS Quartil 1 database. Data visualization is done using Forest plots. Results: The results of the analysis showed that topical propolis made a significant contribution to the healing process of diabetic foot ulcers. Topical administration of propolis increases connective tissue deposits. It promotes better tissue regeneration, as well as reducing oxidative stress, which is a major contributor to the pathogenesis of diabetic foot ulcers. Conclusion: Topical propolis offers a new and promising approach to the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers. With its anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antioxidant properties, propolis can speed up the wound healing process, improve patients' quality of life, and reduce the economic burden associated with diabetic foot ulcer treatment. Although more research is needed to understand the mechanism of action of propolis thoroughly, these results lend support to the potential of propolis as an effective adjuvant therapy in the management of this chronic disease.

Abstract

competitive nation by 2045, the nursing workforce plays a pivotal role in realizing this ambition (Efendi, 2024). Nurses form the backbone of the healthcare system, ensuring the delivery of quality care to communities across the archipelago (WHO, 2021). While Indonesia currently has a temporary surplus of nurses, this presents a strategic opportunity to compete in the global nursing labor market (Efendi et al., 2024). However, succeeding in this competitive arena requires critical investments in areas such as language proficiency, readiness to adapt to diverse healthcare systems, and mental preparation for working overseas (Pradipta et al., 2023).A resilient and globally competitive nursing workforce can drive transformative health sector reforms, directly contributing to the realization of Golden Indonesia 2045. Nurses trained for international roles can also return to Indonesia, bringing back valuable skills and experiences to strengthen the local healthcare system. This cyclical benefit underscores the importance of policies facilitating international mobility, such as streamlined licensing and certification processes. Additionally, partnerships with foreign governments and institutions are critical to ensure ethical recruitment practices and the protection of migrant nurses' welfare. To support Golden Indonesia 2045, the government and stakeholders must prioritize comprehensive strategies to strengthen the nursing workforce. Key initiatives should include scaling up nurse education and training programs to align with international needs, enhancing workforce planning to address global demand, and establishing robust career development pathways to retain skilled nurses. By addressing these challenges, Indonesia can build a resilient and globally competitive nursing workforce, capable of advancing health sector reforms, contributing to human capital development, and supporting the nation's overarching goal of inclusive and sustainable progress.

Abstract

Introduction: Sexual violence is something that is commonly to be experienced by women and teenagers in public or community spaces as the highest victims. It may trigger by several factors that may actually be prevented. This research aims to build a model for anticipating sexual violence among female students aged 13-17 years based on the Health Belief Model.Method: This research is a quantitative study using an explanatory survey design with a cross sectional approach. The respondents included in this study were 110 female students aged 13-17 years from SMPN 13 Denpasar and SMAN 9 Denpasar. The sampling technique used is proportional random sampling and analyzed by the Partial Least Square (PLS), which was a Structural Equation Model (SEM) to test the model. Results: A factor which has a significant influence on the formation of a model for anticipating sexual violence in female students aged 13-17 years based on the health belief model, namely the perception of threat factors (p-value 0,000). This threat perception factor is significantly influenced by modification factors (p-value 0,002) and signaling factors (p-value 0,000). Modification factors in the form of institutional factors are reduced from the model. Conclusions: Factor perception of threats able to mediate influence modification factors and cue factors in actions in the anticipatory model of sexual violence among female students aged 13-17 years based on the health belief model. The benefits of this research can be increased by building a new model that specifically involves female students who have a history of violence.
