Abstract

This study aims to describe the planning, organizing, implementation, and monitoring of Islamic educational service marketing strategies to maintain customer loyalty and to explore their implications. A descriptive qualitative case study approach was used, with purposive sampling selecting principals as critical informants and vice principals, teachers, students, alums, and parents as supporting informants. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation and analyzed using data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that marketing management strategies at MAN 1 and MAN 2 Cilegon City are implemented but must be fully optimized. Planning involves basic strategies but needs thorough identification, segmentation, positioning, and differentiation. Organizing is relatively effective, with clear task divisions formalized by principal decrees. Implementation follows a marketing mix approach (product, promotion, infrastructure, human resources, and processes), yet promotional efforts still need to be increased. Monitoring is consistently conducted by principals and supporting staff. While customer loyalty is evident, indicated by repeat purchases, recommendations, and cross-product purchases, it is limited to existing market segments and does not reach broader audiences.

Abstract

The background of this study includes the need for a deeper understanding of the factors that influence job satisfaction of operators in Salafiyah Islamic boarding schools in Banten Province, especially in the context of visionary and transformational leadership. This study explores the impact of visionary and transformational leadership on job satisfaction among operators at Salafiyah Islamic boarding schools in Banten Province. The research employs a quantitative method with a survey technique. One hundred sixty-six operators from Salafiyah Islamic boarding schools in Banten Province participated in the study. Data on visionary leadership, transformational leadership, and job satisfaction were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire with five response options. The questionnaire was validated before use. Data analysis was conducted using multiple regression analysis. The findings indicate that transformational leadership significantly affects job satisfaction, while visionary leadership does not. These findings highlight the importance of developing transformational leadership to enhance job satisfaction among operators of Salafiyah Islamic boarding schools, thereby improving their welfare and impacting the quality of Islamic boarding schools and other Islamic educational institutions. The implications of these findings underscore the importance of transformational leadership development as a strategy to improve the welfare and quality of management in the Islamic education environment, which can strengthen the position of pesantren as effective and competitive educational institutions.

Abstract

The digital-based smart campus system, consisting of components such as the campus application, digital presence with QR code, and campus development dashboard, is one of the services offered by Telkom University Jakarta Campus. In addition, it utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) technology, especially image recognition, to support the Green Campus concept and increase environmental protection efforts, demonstrating the university's dedication to utilizing innovative technologies for a sustainable future. Therefore, the security of information assets is very important. Issues of confidentiality, integrity, and availability can arise if the information security system is not properly managed. This research aims to improve the security information system by conducting a risk assessment using the OCTAVE method. This risk assessment aims to identify the most significant impacts when risks occur and prioritize the most important risks. According to ISO/IEC 27001:2013, safety controls and targets are established. The results of this research are purpose and security management documents, risk management documents, and operational standards of procedures (SOPs). Risk management documents related to information security include risk assessment, risk identification, risk analysis, and evaluation at the campus. Standard Operational Procedures (SOP) documentation includes policy documents, work instructions, and work records that are consistent with the selection of objective controls and security controls for risk management.

Abstract

In order to improve the quality of human resources, education entities in Indonesia implement an education system that includes elementary, middle, and high levels. One philosophical approach widely used in educational entities in Indonesia is the progressivism philosophical model. This research aims to determine the implementation of the progressivism philosophy in education in Indonesia. This research uses qualitative methods with two approaches: descriptive and literature study. Data is obtained randomly from various database sources—data disbursement using keywords related to the research theme. Next, data analysis was carried out descriptively by grouping it based on educational entities. The results of this research show that the philosophy of progressivism has been applied to various educational entities in Indonesia: Early Childhood Education (PAUD), Elementary Schools, Government, Formal Education Institutions, Madrasas, and Islamic Community Organizations. The results of this research have contributed to the insight that future research needs to be carried out regarding applying the philosophy of progressivism to non-formal education entities. Entities that wish to apply the philosophy of progressivism to their entities must pay attention to the implementation carried out by various entities in Indonesia.

Abstract

Social engineering is a psychological manipulation technique used by attackers to exploit human weaknesses in information security. This research aims to identify the challenges organizations face in protecting themselves from social engineering attacks and offer effective solutions. Through analysis of case studies and relevant literature, it was found that a lack of employee awareness and training is one of the main causes of the success of these attacks. In addition, many organizations still rely on inadequate technology to detect threats. To address these issues, this paper recommends implementing regular training programs, strengthening security policies, and using advanced technology. With this comprehensive approach, organizations can strengthen their defences and reduce the risks associated with social engineering. Organizations should prioritize continuous education programs, foster a culture cantered on security, and establish protocols that encourage alertness. Moreover, robust access controls, defined incident reporting processes, and the use of technology like behavioural analytics can further reduce the risks posed by social engineering.

Abstract

Administrative discretion in licensing governance is a form of modern bureaucratic practice, but it also carries the potential risk of serious legal accountability deviations. In the context of developing countries such as Indonesia, where the scope of public officials' authority is often not clearly defined , administrative freedom is often a paradoxical instrument: on the one hand, it allows the necessary governance flexibility to respond to diverse local conditions, but on the other hand, it has the potential to create loopholes for corruption, collusion, and nepotism in the licensing process. This study aims to investigate the pattern of administrative discretion in licensing governance in Indonesia, identify factors that influence the legal accountability of public officials in the use of discretion, and formulate an analytical framework for legal accountability based on the local institutional context. The study uses an empirical juridical approach with a qualitative method based on grounded theory. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with 48 participants consisting of licensing officials, administrative law experts, business actors, and members of the supervisory commission, as well as analysis of primary legal documents and focus group discussions (FGDs) as triangulation of findings. Data were analyzed using a thematic analysis framework and a layered legal accountability matrix. The findings indicate that administrative discretion in licensing governance in Indonesia is multidimensional and influenced by six determinant factors: regulatory clarity, human resource capacity of officials, local political pressure, internal oversight mechanisms, bureaucratic organizational culture, and accessibility of administrative justice. This study produces a legal accountability model of administrative discretion based on institutional context that can be a reference for licensing system reform in Indonesia.
