Based on the research results obtained, research results wereobtained before family psychoeducation therapy was carried out with an average value of 6,31 and after family psychoeducation therapy was carried out with an average value of 8,88 with a p-value of <0,005 which shows that there is an influence offamily psychoeducation therapy on ability. Family in caring for schizophrenic patients. The implementation of family psychoeducation therapy apart from being able to improve the family’s abilities, this therapy can also help the healing process of schizophrenia patients. The conclusion is that there is a difference in the average ability of families to care for patients before therapy is given and after family psychoeducation therapy is given. It is hopedthat this research will prodive insight and understanding and can also become a source of reference for further research and this family psychoeducation therapy can be applied ti anticipa the problem of family stress, burdens that can arise when caring for schizophrenia patients.

Abstract

Intorduction : Hypertension is a major risk factor for death from cardiovascular disease. In addition to pharmacological therapy, companion therapy is also needed that aims to reduce blood pressure, including physical activity therapy and relaxation therapy. Isometric handgrip exercises and relaxation therapy can activate immediate impulses by increasing muscle tension and relaxing the body so that a blood pressure response can occur. This study aims to determine the effect of a combination of isometric han dgrip exercise therapy and deep breathing relaxation on blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension. Methods : This research is a pre-experimental quantitative research with a one group pretest posttest design. The intervention consisted of isometric grip exercises and deep breathing relaxation for 20 minutes. The sample for this research consisted of 17 respondents using purposive sampling. Statistical analysis of this research uses a paired t test with a value of α = 0.05. Results : The results of p value = 0.000 (α ≤0.05) which means that there is a significant effect of a combination of isometric handgrip exercise therapy and deep breathing relaxation on reducing blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension Conclusion : The results of the research show that the combination of isometric handgrip exercise therapy and deep breathing relaxation can significantly reduce bl  ood pressure in elderly people with hypertension. The combination of isometric handgrip exercise therapy and deep breathing relaxation can be recommended as a treatment to complement pharmacological therapy in reducing blood pressure.tructions for authors.

Abstract

Asthma is a chronic respiratory disease that is a global health problem and affects 1-18% of the population in several countries. Asthma exercises, to increase muscle capacity related to respiratory mechanisms, increase capacity and efficiency in the respiratory process. This study aims to determine the frequency of recurrence in asthma patients at the Simpang Kawat Community Health Center, Jambi City. This research method is descriptive with a case study method. The number of subjects was one asthma patient using an asthma exercise observation sheet during which the asthma exercise was carried out for 3 meetings with asthma exercise lasting 30 minutes. After doing asthma exercises, the respondent had a recurrence of asthma once a week and after doing asthma exercises the client did not experience an asthma recurrence in the last 1 week. Asthma exercise training for 3 times can reduce the frequency of asthma recurrence in the last 1 week.

Abstract

According to the Ministry of Health's Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI), the prevalence of stunted toddlers in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province is again in the top position with a stunted toddler rate of 35.3%. This research aims to determine the relationship between parental feeding style and picky eating behavior on the incidence of stunting. This type of research is quantitative and analytical with a cross-sectional study approach. The sampling technique used in this research was the Total Sampling technique. The population in this study was all 31 stunting cases with a sample of 31 people. The location of this research was carried out in the Sungai Penuh City Health Service Work Area and was carried out in January-July 2024. The results showed that more than half of 22 (71.0%) of the respondents had very short stunting, more than half of 19 (61.3%) %) respondents with a low parental feeding style with statistical test results (Chi-Square) obtained a p-value of 0.001 and more than half of the 22 (71.0%) respondents with picky eating behavior with statistical test results (Chi-Square) obtained a p-value of 0.012. The conclusion of the research shows that there is a relationship between parental feeding style and picky eating behavior on the incidence of stunting The researchers' suggestions from the research results can be applied in daily nursing practice, such as providing counseling about parental feeding styles and picky eating. eating behavior for patients, to prevent stunting in children.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a group of metabolic disorders characterized by chronic hyperglycemia due to defects in insulin secretion or insulin action. The global prevalence of DM continues to rise, with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) being the most common form. Effective management of T2DM involves both pharmacological and non-pharmacological strategies, with nutritional therapy playing a pivotal role in maintaining blood glucose levels. Structured nutrition education has proven beneficial in enhancing dietary habits and improving glycemic control in T2DM patients. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of health education on nutritional restrictions in T2DM patients at the Pakuan Baru Public Health Center, Jambi City. The study employed a descriptive case study design, using a nursing care approach that included assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. A single participant, Mrs. Y, diagnosed with T2DM, was selected based on specific inclusion criteria. The study utilized a pre- and post-test questionnaire to measure the patient’s knowledge of nutritional restrictions. Before the intervention, Mrs. Y demonstrated limited knowledge of appropriate dietary practices for managing T2DM. Following a structured health education session, the patient’s knowledge significantly improved, as indicated by an increase in test scores from 46.6% to 80%. The findings suggest that personalized health education can effectively enhance patients’ understanding of dietary restrictions, leading to improved self-management of T2DM. This highlights the importance of incorporating health education into routine care for chronic conditions like diabetes. Future research should explore the long-term effects of such educational interventions and expand the sample size to further validate these findings.
