NEOLOGIA: Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia is a peer-reviewed scientific open access journal, with e-ISSN 2829-9612 and p-ISSN 2087-2496. It has been published by the Department of Indonesian Language and Literature, Faculty of Language and Literature, Universitas Negeri Makassar. NEOLOGIA is published since 2010. NEOLOGIA is issued semiannually: in February and Auguts. NEOLOGIA publishes manuscripts on research in linguistics and literature. NEOLOGIA features research novelties and significance for scientific advancement in one of the fields of the published manuscripts. This journal welcomes submissions from around the world as well as from Indonesia. Manuscripts published include but are not limited to the following. Linguistics; phonology, morphology, syntax, discourse analysis, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, and critical discourse analysis. Literature: local literature studies, Indonesian literature, foreign literature studies, children literature, literature studies for character education, and other literary studies. The editorial board would like to receive manuscripts submitted via the online submission system. Make sure that the manuscripts meet the scope and submission guidelines of the journal. Abstract

 The research to describe the use of speech acts conveyed by speakers to interlocutors in the Nih Kita Kepo program on Trans TV in the forms of speech acts of locua, illocution, perlocution, and expressive speech. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The data collection technic used in this study was the observation, record and note technique. The results of this study are data in the form of types of speech acts found in the Nih Kita Kepo program on Trans TV. Based on the results of this analysis, it can be concluded that at the Nih Kita Kepo program on Trans Tv there are types of speech acts locus, illocution, perlocution and expressive speech functions which consist of expressive speech saying congratulations, thanks, criticizing, complaining, blaming, praising, apologize, and insinuate.

Abstract

This research aims to find, understand, and then describe the code mix that exists in the interaction of the Madurese community in Payangan hamlet, Puger Kulon village, Puger. Sources of data in this study are speech events in the social interaction activities of the Madurese community in Payangan Hamlet, Puger Kulon Village, Puger. The data of this research are in the form of words, phrases, and clauses in the speech which are indicated to contain mixed codes. This study is included in the type of qualitative research using the interpretive descriptive method. Furthermore, the approach used for data analysis is a sociolinguistic approach. The results of this study indicate that there are several variations of code mixing, namely mixing Indonesian and Javanese codes. There are two factors behind the emergence of code mixing, namely the factor of representation of diction and mother tongue

Abstract

This study aims to describe (1) The ins and outs of expression in the purpose of cemme passili traditional magical formula the buginees maros (2) The meaning contained in the purpose of cemme passili traditional magical formula the buginees maros based on heuristic and hermeneutic readings. This type of research is quality research. This result is: (1) the ins and outs of expression managed to find the meaning contained in the purpose of cemme passili traditional magical formula the buginees Maros based on the replacement of meaning, deviation of meaning and creation of meaning; (2) Heuristic readings using Indonesian conventions, while hermeneutic readings show the hope of The Purpose Of Cemme Passili to prevent brides to be from unwanted things.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the cultural aspects in terms of icons, indexes, and symbols in Faisal Oddang's Tiba Before Berangkat novel by studying the semiotic theory of Charles Sanders Pierce. This research is a descriptive qualitative research type. The data source for this research is the novel Arrive Before Departure by Faisal Oddang. The data of this research are quotations containing cultural aspects based on a review of Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic theory consisting of 3 signs. The data were collected using library techniques. The results showed that the cultural aspects in terms of icons, indexes and symbols are contained in Faisal Oddang's novel Tiba Before Berangkat.

Abstract

The study is the study of the text in Angngaru oral literature by using sociology of literature Ian watt as a scalpel. The aim of this study is to describe literature as a reflection of the social life of people in the oral literature text of Angngaru. The method in this study is qualitative descriptive. The data in this study is words, sentences, phrases found in the angtext. The data-gathering techniques in this study are reading and annotating techniques. The study involves identifying, decrypting, and analyzing literary texts that are viewed as reflecting public condition.Analysis shows that a number of oral literature texts of angngaru illustrate the courage and faithfulness of Kings and soldiers who could reflect the lives of gowa people in ancient times.
