Abstract

The background A river is a form of the aquatic ecosystem which has an important role in the hydrological cycle. decrease in river quality if the water can not be used accoerding to the water river quality. The utilization of river water has decreased its quality due to contamination causing health problems as diarrhea. The purpose of this study is to know the relationship between the dhearea of river water use on the of occurence diarrheal diseases in Gampong Dah Subdistrict Runding Subulussalam.This research is analytic descriptive with a crossectional design with 65 samples and the sampling technique is done by Random Sampling. The study was conducted from 12 to 16 June 2017 in Gampong Dah subdistrict Runding Subulusalam city. Data analysis was done by chi-square statistical test (x2).The result of this research shows that there is a correlation between knowledge, attitude, and action with diarrhea disease in Gampong Dah Subdistrict Runding Subulussalam with p <0,05.The result of data analysis by using the Chi-square test proved that knowledge, attitude, and action relate to diarrhea disease in Gampong Dah Sub Runding Subulussalam. With p-value for knowledge is 0,017, attitude with p-value 0,044 and action with p-value 0,026. It is expected that communities should limit the use of river water to meet daily needs such as brushing, bathing, and cooking and switch to using dug well water as a source of clean water to meet daily needs.

Abstract

The use of pesticides from year to year is increasing. Spraying pesticides on rice can leave residues in the environment and the rice. Pesticide residues are found in soil, water, crops, and harvested commodities. The study aimed to analyze pesticide residues in harvested rice in the district of Aceh Besar. This type of research is descriptive by conducting laboratory examinations using qualitative tests, namely knowing the presence or absence of pesticide residues in rice. The samples were examined using a pesticide test strip G9 fast pesticides detection kit. The research subject is rice from rice that has been sprayed from planting to harvest and taken from farmers in Aceh Besar district. Sampling was done by purposive sampling, taking as many as 30 points in six sub-districts in the district of Aceh Besar. The results of the analysis showed that 29 negative samples contained pesticide residues, there was only 1 positive sample which was indicated by the absence of a blue color change in one of the reagent areas. These results can be influenced by the use of pesticides by farmers who are still below the threshold value, low frequency of spraying, and the influence of rainfall which causes pesticide residues to accumulate with water.It is necessary to carry out repeated analyses of the pesticide content in rice, considering the analysis results are highly dependent on the intensity of pesticide use by farmers and are influenced by the season/rainfall.

Abstract

The bacround Water  is a chemical compound that is very important for the life of living things on earth, excessive iron content in water is considered to endanger the life of aquatic organisms. The designation of iron content in clean water is <10 mg/l. The result of burning rice husk produces rice husk charcoal which can be used as adsorbent of heavy metals in water. This  was a quasi experimental study, this study was conducted at the researcher's home and in the laboratory of Regional Technical Implementation Unit UPTD on 15 June 2017, the subject of this study was 9 liters of dug well water. The data were obtained directly from the examination results of iron (Total Fe) levels in dug well water. The study results obtained an average amount of Fe content with a dose of 20 grams of -0.265 mg/l, Fe content with a dos0065 of 30 grams of -0.301 mg/l, Fe content with a dose of 40 grams of -0.388 mg / l. From the conclusion, it can be concluded that the most effective dose of rice husk charcoal in lowering iron (total Fe) levels was 40 grams. It is necessary to conduct further study using other methods to lower iron (total Fe) levels to avoid turbidity in the water.

Abstract

The Aedes aegypti mosquito is a vector of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). DHF vector control is carried out in various ways, including the use of insecticides and by using repellent. The use of chemical-based for mosquito repellents cause residues on the environment and endanger for health. Many studies have been carried out to find natural repellents derived from plants, one of them is by using pineapple peel extract. Pineapple peel extract contains flavonoid compounds, tannins, saponins which have the potential to repel mosquitoes and can kill mosquitoes.This study aims to determine the effectiveness of pineapple peel extract (Ananas comosus) as a mosquito repellent for Aedes aegypti. This research is an experimental study, using 180 Aedes aegypti mosquitoes with three treatments and three repetitions. Observation of the number of mosquitoes perched on hand bait was carried out every 5 minutes in the first hour and every hour for 4 hours. The data analyzed using the one-way ANOVA test. The results showed that the average number of mosquitoes perched at a concentration of 10% (18); at a concentration of 20% (16); and at a concentration of 30% (12). The higher the concentration used, less mosquitoes perched on hand. The results of the ANOVA test showed that there was an effect of pineapple peel extract on the number of mosquitoes that perched on hand (p <0.05). The LSD test showed that there was a significant difference in the number of mosquitoes perched between a concentration of 30% with a concentration of 10% and 20%. It can be concluded that pineapple peel extract (Ananas comosus) can be a repellent to reduce the number of mosquitoes that perch on hand bait.

Abstract

The background of washing hands using soap has become one of the movements launched by the government. Washing hands with soap is able to reduce diarrhea rates by as much as 45%, but the use of soap for hand washing only reaches about 3% of all people who use soap to wash their hands. The study aimed to determine the behavior that affects hand washing with soap (CTPS) in elementary school students. This type of research uses qualitative research which is library research on the behavior of washing hands with soap (ctps) in elementary school students. The results of the research on the knowledge of hand washing with soap in elementary school students there is a Good Knowledge of 50.8%. bad knowledge 49.2%, the attitude of washing hands with soap in elementary school students there is good behavior Washing hands is 44%, bad behavior washing hands is 56%, washing hands with soap in elementary school students there are 51.2% respondents, behavior The factors that affect hand washing with soap (CTPS) in elementary school students can be seen from parenting patterns, understanding of educational media, the role of teachers, the role of health workers and the availability of ctps facilities in elementary schools.The conclusion from the overall results of the study by analyzing several journals is that there is an effect of washing hands with soap (CTPS) on elementary school students.

Abstract

The background Occupational Health and Safety (K3) is a condition in a healthy and safe job both for the job, the company as well as for the community, and the environment around the workplace. Workers at the port are very vulnerable to the dangers and risks that arise in a process that causes death, loss, disaster, loss of production, decreased product quality, and danger to the environment, especially workers in the field of loading and unloading goods at the port. The purpose of the study was to determine the safety and work risks of loading and unloading at the Labuhanhaji-Simeulu shipping port.This research is descriptive and qualitative. Research subjects are people who are used as sources of data or sources of information by researchers for the research they do with a sample of 42 people.The results of this study indicate that the identified hazards are hazards in the categories of mechanical hazards, chemical hazards, and physical hazards. OHS risk analysis shows that generally, OHS hazards occur in workers who do not wear PPE and do not follow work instructions so workers are vulnerable to OHS risks. The highest level of risk and fatal is the danger of fractures. Although this risk is rare, the most common danger is the danger of shoulder pain, because workers carry goods by placing them on their shoulders. Risk management is carried out differently depending on the risks that occur. In general, risks are overcome by ordering workers to follow work instructions, use complete PPE, and provide OHS training.

Abstract

The background Indoor air quality greatly affects human health, because 90% of human life is indoors. Good indoor air quality is defined as air that is free of irritating contaminants. At the port itself, many people go back and forth and roam in the waiting room, Microorganisms will come out of their hosts (humans or animals or plants), due to coughing, sneezing, dry body fluids, or due to spores (fungus). The spread of microorganisms in the air can stick to two media, namely solid particulates (dust) and water, where it can occur indoors and outdoors. The purpose of the study was to determine the microbiological content of the air at Ulee Lheue Port, Banda Aceh City. Knowing the number of bacterial colonies and types of bacteria. This research is a descriptive analytical research method. Research data obtained from the calculation of the number of colonies trapped in Na Agar. The results showed that the number of bacterial colonies in the air in 6 rooms at Ulee Lheue Harbor ranged from 11-35 CFU/m3. And the type of bacteria is Bacillus sp. It can be concluded that at the Port of Ulee Lheue the bacterial colony of Bacillus sp in the air is still below the threshold set by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No. 1077 of 2011.

Abstract

Introdaction one of the industrial sectors that are experiencing rapid development is the convection industry. Sewing work is currently done more using machines, in this case, sewing machines compared to hands, in 2016 WHO estimates that 153 million people in the world experience eye viruses or eye disorders. In 2016, 61% of Americans were very serious about work-related eye problems. workers admitted that they do work for 4 to 11 hours a day and the time for rest is not determined, the chairs used are not suitable, causing fatigue, ergonomics that do not match the tailor's body posture and the way he works, and stress that causes eye fatigue when the tailor has to work. focus on small objects when sewing. This type of research is quantitative research. Results, there is a relationship between age, length of work, chair, stress and ergonomics with eye fatigue with p-value 0.040, p-value 0.020, p-value 0.044, p-value 0.018, p-value 0.019. Based on these results, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between these factors and eye fatigue in tailors.

Abstract

The Culex genus of mosquitoes makes up the majority of the mosquitoes in our area. The West Nile virus, filariasis, Japanese encephalitis, and St. Louis encephalitis are only a few of the illnesses spread by this mosquito. Culex quinquefasciatus, a mosquito in the genus Culex that is known to transmit the diseases chikungunya and filariasis, is a significant mosquito species. The study's objective was to ascertain whether Culex Sp mosquito larvae died after receiving doses of curry leaf extract (Murraya koenigii) of 2 ml/200 ml, 4 ml/200 ml, and 8 ml/200 ml. Three hundred Culex species larvae served as the study's subjects. The One Way ANOVA test was employed for data analysis. The outcomes shown that Culex sp. larval mortality in the treatment Curry leaf extract (Murraya koenigii) doses of 2 ml/200 ml of water were 16.7%, 4 ml/200 ml of water were 21.7%, and 8 ml/200 ml of water were 25%. One way ANOVA analysis yielded a p value of 0.003 (0.005), indicating that curry leaf extract (Murraya koenigii) is effective as a natural larvi The dose that is most successful, with a p value of 0.001, is 4 ml/200 ml of water. It is envisaged that the community will be able to employ and make use of curry leaf extract (Murraya koenigii) as a substitute for killing Culex sp. larvae.

Abstract

Adanya bakteri Colifaecal di dalam air bersih menunjukkan adanya pencemaran yang disebabkan oleh kotoran. Dengan ditemukannya E. Coli di dalam air diperkirakan dapat membahayakan kesehatan manusia, karena dicurigai air tersebut mengandung mikroorganisme patogen yang antara lain adalah virus, bakteri, protozoa, dan parasit yang ditransmisikan melalui fecal material. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui Terhadap Kandungan bakteriologis E. Coli pada air sumur gali dengan Memodifikasi Saluran Pembuangan Air Limbah di Wilayah Kerja Puskemas Darul Imarah Kabupaten Aceh Besar Tahun 2019. Jenis penelitian ini adalah bersifat motode penelitian Quasi Experimen non equivalen control group design dengan uji analisis (uji chi square). Subjek penelitian ini jumlah E.Coli pada sumur gali sebelum dan sesudah Alternatif modifikasi saluran pembuangan air limbah. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan survei serta melakukan intervensi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah adanya bakteri e.coli di sumur gali dari tiga sample yang diperiksa rata-rata 5 MPN E.Coli/100 ml sebelum modifikasi SPAL, sedangkan setelah dilakukan Modifikasi SPAL adanya pengaruh terhadap penurunan jumlah angka bakteri E.Coli pada sumur, dimana nilai p < 0,05 yaitu 0,012 Diharapkan bagi Institusi terkait dapat menambah bahan informasi yang dapat dijadikan referensi bagi pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan atau lebih lanjut bagi yang di butuhkan meningkatkan kesadaran tentang pentingnya menjaga kebersihan saluran pembuangan air limbah (SPAL),genangan air limbah dan tempat perindukan vektor di sekitar rumah agar terhindar dari resiko terkena berbagai penyakit menular.
