Abstract

The important taxonomic significance was obtained from this study helped to comparative species under the two genera Cassia and Senna grown in Iraq. The aim was to confirm some useful diagnostic features that may be used in comparison between the two genera. Our results detect important features that are helpful in the identification of each species. These include presence of stomata only in the lower surface of the leaves in the species of Cassia and in the species S. singueana in addition presence the Paracytic type pattern in it and differed from the rest species of Senna, so in the results of the current study was treated with this species as one of the types of Cassia depending on the old classification, so the species of two genus appeared differ in the shape of anticlinal walls of the ordinary epidermal cells, also found that the genus S. artemisioides was unique in the presence Actinocytic stomata pattern on the upper and lower surfaces, this feature considered an important to distinguishing it from the rest of the species, in addition this pattern absence in the species of Cassia and which helps to differentiate between the two genus under studies. The hairs in both genus species which Unicellular uniseriate type and from many sections of plants species collected from Iraq we not found multicellular hairs in the species under study. Keywords: Cassia, Senna, Epidermal features, Stomata pattern, Hairs.

Abstract

Auscultation pattern recognition also known as PCG Pattern classification was one of the efficient computer-based methods applied to medical decision making. PCG Pattern recognition generally is interpreted in two ways.  This work reports robust results with phonocardiogram PCG-signal pattern classification. Linear prediction analysis with basic agglomerative clustering techniques was applied to extract the spectral pattern from phonocardiogram signals, a relatively new technique. In this test, 35 PCG samples are classified correctly, except for seven samples; and 24 PCG samples correctly, except for three samples.  The efficiency of PCG spectral features classification has been confirmed experimentally to be integrated in automated auscultation computer aided diagnosis (Au CAD) systems. The more specific interpretation algorithms are limited to finding patterns in PCG signals or other related bio-signal activities. This work covers the new technique applied in basis of pattern classification for mitral regurgitation PCG signals to investigate different hemodynamics turbulences and stochastic blood flow patterns associated with cardiac circulation. Keywords: Phonocardiography, Clinical Decision making, Pattern classification, Cardiovascular arrhythmia, Auscultation.

Abstract

Basketball for disabled players is regarded as a game that requires many functions, and this is attributed to the nature of the game itself that forces the disabled player to do moves recognized with high strength and special tempo in a short time. Therefore, the functional side is regarded as one of the fundamental demands for the occurrence of the necessary functional adaptations that might differ in degree from other sport games, and this is done through studying the biological variables because they are important and necessary since they have a great effect on the athletic performance and the physical capacities that are essential for the basketball game in general, and basketball for disabled players in particular because of its great importance in the basketball match especially they, functional variables, occur under the anaerobic  lactic system where the player should have the ability to do his skills in a high speed and frequently in the match. The research aims at preparing anaerobic exercises through taking the Q10 enzyme to improve some of the functional variables of the disabled basketball players. The research also aims to identify the effects of the anaerobic exercises by taking Q10 enzyme, the experimental method was used by taking the Iraqi disabled basketball team as a specimen. 18 players were divided randomly into three groups (experimental 1, experimental 2, and control group) each group consisted of 6 players. The (experimental 1) group had to do the anaerobic exercises prepared by the researchers with doses of the coenzyme Q10; (experimental 2) group had to do anaerobic exercises prepared by the researchers, whereas the (control) group had to do special exercises. Based on the above plan, the coenzyme was used as capsules (100 mg.) taken daily before breakfast, the total enzyme dosage becomes (60 gm.) equivalent to (3gm.). The study concluded that exercises with the use of the complementary Q10 enzyme lead to improve heartbeat ratio before and after exertion, as well as improve the level of lactic acid before and after exertion. Furthermore, it improved the level of V2 Max of the research specimen. Keywords: Enzyme, Functional Variables and Basketball.

Abstract

Visceral leishmaniasis (VL) is a parasitic infection caused by an intracellular growth of Leishmania spp. in macrophage cells. The autoimmune disorder is a condition takes place when the immune system produces antibodies which incorrectly attacked its own body tissues. VL has been involved as an effect or on the autoimmune aspect. This study was conducted to identify the auto antibodies profile in patients infected with VL.  The presences of auto antibodies in 21 Iraqi children infected with VL were tested for laboratory autoimmune aspect. The highest percentage of seropositive in Leishmania patients was observed for anti-ds DNA, anti-Mi-2, anti-Ku and anti-PCNA antibodies (90.5%, 90.5% , 90.5% and 61.9%) respectively, while the lowest percentage was recorded for anti-Histone, anti-R0(RPP), anti-SS-A/Ro 52, anti-Scl 70, anti-Jo-1 antibodies (4.8%) while the auto antibodies (anti-SmD1, anti-SS-A/Ro-60, anti-SS-B/La, anti-CENP, anti-U1snRNP, anti-AMA M2, anti-PM/Scl) showed different profiles in Leishmania patients. These results provide evidence that VL can have an effective role in the production of the auto antibodies. Keywords: Children, Leishmania spp, Visceral leishmaniasis, Auto antibodies.
