Abstract

A pastor is a pastor whose job is to lead a congregation or local church. A pastor is very important to understand his role in shepherding the congregation according to the truth of God's word. The purpose of this research is to investigate the role of the pastor in pastoring the congregation. The method used in this study is a qualitative method of literature study with text interpretation. The results of the study from the theological point of view of a pastor are someone who is ready to be an example in the midst of the congregation, an example in words and an example in behavior. Apart from being a role model, the pastor also plays a role in leading, guiding, leading on the right path, preaching the word of God as a spiritual need for God's people, caring for, visiting and also being a counselor for congregations that are facing various problems.

Abstract

Fasting is something that is important to Christians from time to time until now. There are still Christians who do not understand the correct concept and purpose of fasting which is a separate problem which of course has an impact on the practice of fasting which is wrong and displeases God. The purpose of this study is to provide an explanation of the correct concept of fasting according to Isaiah 58:6-7 and its implications for the church today. This study uses qualitative research methods with literature studies and inductive interpretation of the meaning of the text. The result of the research is that fasting must be done with the right concept. Outwardly the Israelites fasted and continued to worship God, but with a wrong understanding of the concept so that this did not please God's heart, but instead made God angry because of their hypocrisy. Outwardly the Israelites fasted, but in fact crime remained a part of their daily lives, by living only caring about themselves and not caring about others. It is this correct concept of fasting that must be understood and exists in today's church. Keywords: Concept, Fasting, True, Hypocrite.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 period, the pattern of church worship changed from onsite to online. Even though the church is currently able to carry out onsite worship, there are still many congregations who are preoccupied with online and do not attend onsite worship. Many churches have remained stagnant, not experiencing growth after the Covid 19 pandemic, so the purpose of this research is to see the existence of the church today, to see how far the church has experienced growth. The Bible provides many principles of coaching with the aim that many servants of God and pastors want to learn the basic principles of dynamic church growth. This study uses qualitative research using interpretations of Bible texts to obtain the main principles. The result of this research is that the pastor needs to be a figure who plays a major role, as a role model, who pays attention to the congregation, someone who is consistent in his ministry, and several other important attitudes.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out whether the church as a divine institution based on 'Love' is able to become a forum for LGBT people and become a bridge to humanize humans. The research used in this article is a qualitative method with a postpositivism philosophy. This method is used for social research, humanities and theology. The objects of research are the church, LGBT and human rights. The results of this study the authors found several church policies related to LGBT and human rights. One of the policies related to LGBT is to become a born again human being, namely repentance. Then for those who have repented, there is coaching, so that LGBT people are able to manifest themselves in the church community and social society.

Abstract

Historical services often experience planning problems, even at times in a systematic way through and coordinating a group of parties related to the violations of God's servants. This research is intended to provide a new perspective so that God's servants remain faithful in the field of ministry even though they are experiencing various kinds of challenges. This study uses a qualitative research method by using inductive discovery of the Bible. The results of the research show that challenges in ministry have even occurred since the Old Testament era and continued until the ministry of the early church in the New Testament and it was found that God's servants and OT and NT remained focused on ministry and were proud to be God's ministers.
