Abstract

Information technology such as smartphones is a tool that can help human work in terms of searching for information, conveying information, processing data and many others. Technology has become a part of life for everyone nowadays. This study aims to determine the effect of the intensity of smartphone use on the communication ethics of the z generation (adolescents) in Jorong Langgam, Kinali District, West Pasaman Regency. By using two variables, namely variable X influencing variable Y. This research is included in associative research using quantitative data processing. The sample used in this study was 95 respondents from 1,800 adolescent populations in Jorong Langgam, Kinali District. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be found that there is a significant influence between variable X on variable Y. This is indicated by obtaining the value thutung = 12.375 > ttabel = 1.986 with sig probability of 0.000 < 0.05, according to the hypothesis that if thutung > ttabel then Ho is rejected and Ha ia accepted.

Abstract

This research is entitled "The Impact of the DNK TV Community Press Institute on Increasing Public Speaking of Fdikom Students". The purpose of this research is to find out whether the DNK TV campus community has become the right place for students to improve public speaking skills, as well as whether Fdikom students, especially active members of DNK TV, can know and realize public speaking well. This study uses qualitative methods, namely observation and questionnaires. Questionnaires were distributed via Google form and filled out by Fdikom students who are active members of DNK TV. And observations are made by observing the activities carried out by active members directly in the field. The results of distributing questionnaires and field observations show that there are still some active members of DNK TV who have not implemented public speaking properly. However, this is balanced by the courage to try and self-confidence, so that the public speaking process continues to run well. DNK TV has also become the right place to develop skills and a place to find interesting, up-to-date and reliable information.

Abstract

This research focuses on the role of journalists in news dissemination. It aims to provide clear information about the environment itself. Then the role of media relations cannot be separated from broad communication tasks, for journalists/press to participate or establish large relationships by an organization or company, which will later affect the delivery of messages in communication. Therefore, good relations are needed between public relations experts and journalists so that the messages conveyed by PR are channeled to the media so that they reach the wider community. The method used in this study is the method of observation and interviews with a qualitative approach. Observation and interview methods complement each other, the presentation of information obtained from various media is a combination of various information materials extracted from observations and interviews so that each collection technique does not stand alone.

Abstract

In the era of rapid development of information and communication technology, modern society requires reliable and sophisticated means of communication. The required means of communication must be aimed at meeting current service needs, but also oriented towards meeting current and future service needs. To meet this need, a reliable network is needed, with a large bandwidth capacity with easy capacity additions, better performance, high levels of availability, and good flexibility. Fiber Optic Network is a network that is trusted to be able to handle this problem. Developments in this network were preceded by two types of transmission systems used, namely Plesiochronous Digital Hierarchy (PDH) and Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH), and currently developing Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) and Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing (CWDM) technologies.

Abstract

CV. Rejeki Beton Perkasa is a company that produces paving. CV. Perkasa Beton Fortune has problems in fulfilling consumer requests. Given the large customer orders, the company must improve the production schedule to meet the company's production capacity, because it can be seen that the company still does not have long-term planning and production capacity that is mature, which results in uncontrolled production processes and delays in meeting consumer demand. The effort undertaken is planning production capacity requirements using the Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) approach to fulfill customer orders. The results of the completion of Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) showed that the work center for making raw materials, mixing, printing and sprinkling experienced a capacity shortage in the period 21,22,23,24 while for the mixing and screening work center experienced a capacity shortage in the period 22,23, 24. The raw material manufacturing work center experienced a capacity shortage of 366 hours, the mixing work center 214 hours, the sifting work center 6 hours, the mixing work center 15 hours, the printing work center 291 hours, the watering work center 180 hours. The proposed production capacity planning obtained from the researchers is to add overtime hours for work centers that experience capacity shortages with a total cost of Rp. 21.500,000.

Abstract

With many requests for new network installations and the occurrence of network problems from customers, it is necessary to optimize applications and performance related to time-to-delivery orders to ensure that the goals set are achieved. Managers and leaders have so far supervised the performance of time-to-delivery orders by asking the Division Drafter and Survey Drawing Inventory (SDI), which form the basis for network development in Telkom. The work process carried out by the Survey Unit consists of surveying customers, determining points for the nearest network, marking paths, and designing files using the Google Earth application. The Survey Unit also has its task, making a RAB (building budget plan), which is useful for construction by technicians. The purpose of this study was to design and build a web-based order monitoring information system in PT Telkom Akses Malang Division Drafter and Survey Drawing Inventory (SDI). The system development method used is RAD (rapid application development). To find out the deficiencies of the existing system, PIECES analysis is used. The result of this research is a Monitoring and Evaluation Information System that can provide information about daily order performance to managers and leaders in PT Telkom Akses Malang Division Drafter and Survey Drawing Inventory (SDI).

Abstract

UD. Aji Batara Perkasa is a company engaged in the manufacturing sector that produces various Motor Spare Parts, UD. Aji Batara Perkasa is located on Jl. Colonel Sugiono No. 175B, Pulosari, Kureksari, Kec. Waru, Sidoarjo Regency, East Java, 61256. UD. So far Aji Batara Perkasa has not applied the ABC method in classifying the use of raw materials, grouping goods in the ABC method based on the total sales value in a year. The purpose of this research is to find out what types of raw materials are included in groups A, B, and C With the ABC method, it can be seen that the raw materials with the highest, medium and lowest investment and the turnover of these raw materials are based on their use.

Abstract

This study aims to optimize the maintenance of Banner printing machines at CV. XYZ Printing Company using the Reliability Centered Maintenance II (RCM II) and Life Cycle Cost (LCC) methods. RCM II is employed to identify and evaluate component failures, while LCC is utilized to calculate Costs throughout the machine's lifecycle. The study determines maintenance intervals for each component of the Banner printing machines. Subsequently, the Life Cycle Cost (LCC) is calculated to compare the maintenance Costs before and after implementing RCM II and LCC methods. The results reveal that the total Cost of maintenance after implementing RCM II and LCC is Rp. 258,424,522, which is lower than the previous total maintenance Cost of Rp. 300,000,000. Thus, the application of RCM II and LCC methods effectively optimizes the maintenance of Banner printing machines in a Cost-efficient manner. This research contributes to enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of maintenance in the Banner printing industry.

Abstract

Surya Sejati is a company engaged in manufacturing backrests, seats and table bases, in the production process of table mats there are problems of wasting time in the process of refining table mats, this study aims to analyze the activities of the production process and provide suggestions in the form of a sanding machine , and the results obtained are reduced production time, and work efficiency, the feasibility of the sanding machine will be tested by calculating the depreciation, machine costs, and production capacity time on the sanding machine, in calculating the feasibility of the sanding machine investment using the NPV (net present value) approach ) and IIR (internal rate of return) in order to determine whether the investment is feasible or not in business management at UD. Surya Sejati, in the calculation of investment feasibility the NPV value is more than 0, which is Rp.478,626,819. and the IIR (internal rate of return) value is 30% and the MAAR (Minimum Attractive Rate of Return) value is 12%, with a value (IIR > MAAR)

Abstract

Knight is one type of pawn in the game of chess. By using a strategy to play chess pieces, the rules of the Knight's Tour are formed. Knight's Tour is a math puzzle where we have to move the piece by forming the letter "L" exactly once on the game board. Progression in the game results in different types of moves in the Knight and solutions provided. The goal is to get every possible move on the Knight in completing the game optimally. There are various algorithm methods that have been developed to solve this game, one of which is the Backtracking algorithm. And in this study, researchers produced a comparison between the BFS and DFS algorithms in completing the knight's tour game.
