Abstract

This study aims to identify internal and external factors in the marketing of business products that influence the development of the Winwin Bakery home industry in Tilamuta District and to compile the application of marketing strategies for bakery products to the Winwin Bakery home industry on social media in the millennial era. This research uses case study research that produces descriptive data with data analysis techniques, namely SWOT analysis with ten informants—collecting data by conducting observations, interviews, and documentation. The types and sources of data are primary data and secondary data. The research results show that the factors contained in the Winwin Bakery business are internal factors (strengths and weaknesses). External factors (opportunities and threats), the opportunity factor in the Winwin Bakery business is that the company has met the requirements for an MUI halal certificate permit. In contrast, the threat factor is the existence of a branch of similar bakery industry. Implementing marketing strategies through social media such as Facebook and Instagram in the millennial era will make it easier for consumers to find out the latest menus and promotions, to be closer to customers and consumers easily find out the products or promotions currently in effect at Winwin Bakery.

Abstract

The development of a region has a high relationship with the concentration of economic activity that occurs in an area, so the region's development can be seen based on the centre of its activities. The purpose of this study was to identify the level of regional development in the regencies on the island of Timor, NTT and the typology and spatial pattern of the linkages of the horticulture sub-sector, which are commodities of interaction between regions on the island of Timor, NTT. The analytical method used in this research is scalogram analysis for regional development level and Moran index analysis for typology and spatial pattern of horticultural commodities. Based on the results of the analysis to find out the level of regional development in the regencies on Timor Island, NTT, it can be seen that Kupang Regency has the most complete availability of facilities and infrastructure so that it becomes hierarchy I, namely serving regencies on Timor Island, NTT, Hierarchy II is Belu Regency and then TTU Regency. The last one is TTS Regency and Malacca Regency occupying hierarchy III. Furthermore, Moran index analysis was used to determine the typology and spatial pattern of the horticulture sub-sector. The analysis results showed that the distribution pattern was clustered for the shallots. The distribution pattern was spread for the squash and carrot commodities, while for the tomatoes and bananas, the distribution pattern was clustered, with each LIS cluster category having low-high and high-low categories.

Abstract

Irrigation is one of the important components of farming producers in cultivation. Lack of irrigation water causes crop failure risk, while excess water also causes agricultural crop failure. It is necessary to regulate irrigation water to achieve technical and economic farming efficiency. This study aims to determine the efficiency of solar power generation in agricultural automatic drip irrigation. This study uses experimental research with the design of materials and research tools. Efficiency estimation uses a simple ratio by looking at the cost components of each treatment so that the value that appears becomes the final efficiency value. This study showed that automatic drip irrigation for solar power generation was more economically efficient than ordinary electricity. The use of automatic drip irrigation can save costs of Rp. 4,346,200. In addition, unlimited renewable energy support is a major advantage besides being environmentally friendly and an agricultural climate change adaptation strategy. The system’s performance on the automatic pump is running well, as seen from P1, P2, P3, P4, and P5; the pump turns on at a percentage of water ranging from 10-90% and turns off after reaching 100% water or water-saturated soil conditions. The main obstacle faced during the research was the climate problem because this research model used the solar system. This means that as long as sunlight shows its existence, the energy obtained is also perfect, but vice versa. In addition, it is still difficult for traditional farmers to carry out the operational control system, so further research is needed.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the characteristics of milkfish pond farming, assess the income of milkfish pond farmers, and determine the factors affecting the income of milkfish pond farmers in Napalakura Village, Napabalano District, Muna Regency, in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. The investigation was conducted from August to December 2021 in Napalakura Village, Napabalano District, Muna Regency. Using a census sampling technique, forty respondents were selected for the study. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed for data analysis, providing insights into aquaculture characteristics, income analysis, and multiple linear regression analysis. The study findings revealed that milkfish farming encompasses breeding, fertilizing, maintaining, and harvesting. Milkfish farmers reported IDR 6,368,489 per cycle, equating to IDR 1,512,125 per month. With a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05), the variables of production and labor were found to have a positive and significant impact on the income of milkfish farmers. At the same time, land area and capital investment showed no significant effect on the farmers' income.

Abstract

Coconut is a plantation commodity that Indonesia exports to European Union countries. Most of Indonesia's coconut exports are in the form of processed coconut products. This study aims to determine the competitive position of coconut and its processed products from Indonesia in the European Market. This research was conducted from July 29 to August 18, 2020. The object of this research is the export of Indonesian crude coconut oil (HS code 151311), fractions of coconut oil and semi-finished coconut oil (HS code 151319), coconut (HS code 080111) and young coconut HS 080119). The analysis used in this research is Trade Specialization Index (TSI) method to measure Indonesia's competitive position in European Union countries as an export destination for coconut commodities and their processed products. The results showed that coconut commodities and processed coconut products generally show strong competitiveness and are at the maturity stage.
