Abstract

This study aims to review the implementation of technology in ecology education as an effort to improve students' understanding of global environmental issues. In recent decades, technological developments have opened up new opportunities in the learning process, including in the field of environmental education. Through a literature review, this study identifies various forms of technology used in ecology learning, such as mobile-based applications, computer simulations, website-based learning, and the use of social media to increase environmental awareness. The results of the review indicate that technology has great potential in enriching students' learning experiences, facilitating more interactive learning, and increasing student engagement in global environmental issues. The implementation of this technology also faces various challenges, such as the gap in technology access and the need for the development of relevant and effective materials. This study concludes that technology can be an effective tool to improve students' understanding and participation in preserving the environment, but the right strategy is needed in its utilization in order to overcome existing obstacles.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the feasibility of the ecology module based on validator assessments in the context of environmental education. The developed ecology module aims to provide a deep understanding of the importance of environmental protection and to raise ecological awareness among students. The type of research is development research involving validators consisting of content/material experts, language experts, and appearance experts. Data were collected through assessment instruments designed to evaluate the aspects of content, structure, language, and the alignment of the module with environmental education objectives. The research results show that the validation conducted by three expert validators, namely content/material experts at 77.5%, language experts at 82.5%, and appearance experts at 72.5%. The overall average of the three is 79.6%. Overall, the developed ecology module has met the feasibility criteria, although there are some suggestions for improvement regarding the simplification of the material and the use of more engaging media. Based on the validator's assessment, this module is considered effective in conveying ecological concepts and relevant for application in the context of environmental education in schools, thus it can be concluded that the ecology module is deemed feasible and does not need to be revised.

Abstract

This study aims to test the validity of enrichment materials for Plant Physiology practicals as a learning tool. The type of this research is development research. The development model used is the 4D model from Thiagarajan et al. (1974), but in this study, it has been modified to 3D. This study involves three expert validators who assess the content/material, appearance, and language aspects of the developed Plant Physiology practical enrichment materials. The research instrument used is a validation sheet. The data analysis technique uses the percentage technique. The validation results show that the enrichment materials for the Plant Physiology practical meet high validity criteria. The results of the content/material expert validation from the first validator obtained a score of 75%, the appearance expert validation from the second validator obtained a score of 81.25%, and the language expert validation from the third validator obtained a score of 96.88%. Based on these results, the enrichment materials for Plant Physiology practicals are declared valid and suitable for use as enrichment materials in the Plant Physiology course on the topic of Phytohormones. This research contributes to the development of teaching materials that can enhance the quality of learning in the field of Plant Physiology.

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve student learning outcomes through the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model. The research was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results of the study showed that in cycle I, the percentage of students who scored 75 or more was 35%. This shows that the research indicators have not reached the classical completion standard of 75%, because there are still 9 students who have not achieved learning completion. In cycle II, an average score of 81.3 was obtained with the highest score of 90 and the lowest score of 75. The number of students who achieved learning completion was 14 people, or 100% of the total students, so that it has exceeded the minimum classical completion limit of 75%. These results indicate that there has been a significant increase compared to the initial conditions. With all students having achieved learning completion, it can be concluded that the actions taken in this study were effective and succeeded in improving student learning outcomes. Therefore, this Classroom Action Research (CAR) is declared complete at the end of cycle II.
