Abstract

This study aims to increase the effectiveness of student learning through modification of plastic plates on disc games. This type of research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) taking subjects of class VI SD Negeri 3 Suradadi totaling 35 people. The results showed a significant increase from each cycle. First, student activity in the learning process was categorized as active in the first cycle of 70%. Then in the second cycle it increased to 80%. The average learning completeness in the prefix aspect reached 97.5% for boys and 75% for girls. If referring to the indicators of student learning outcomes, the percentage shows that the initial learning in discus throwing using modified plastic plate media is categorized as very effective for boys and girls. The average mastery of learning for aspects of how to throw reached 85% for boys and 70% for girls. Referring to the indicators of student learning outcomes, the percentage of completeness shows learning how to throw a discus throwing using a modified plastic plate, categorized as very effective for boys and girls. The average learning completeness for the final attitude aspect reached 85% for boys and 72.5% for girls. Referring to the indicators of student learning outcomes, it shows that Attitude learning in discus throwing using modified plastic plates is categorized as very effective for boys and girls.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the empirical phenomenon of the innovative performance of teachers. Efforts to improve the innovative performance of teachers through the principal's academic supervision and the school's organizational climate have not shown the expected results. The innovative performance of teachers is a demand in justification which is the responsibility of teachers and principals as the locomotive of the school organization. The innovative performance of teachers is influenced by various internal and external factors of the school such as: school climate, school culture, intensity of supervision, academic supervision of principals, educational facilities, principals' leadership, organizational structure and so on. The problem that is the focus of this research study is how the 'Effect of Principal Academic Supervision and School Organizational Climate on Teacher Performance'. This study aims in general to prove the objective conditions of the influence of principal academic supervision and school organizational climate on the innovative performance of teachers in Trimurjo District, Metro City in 2019.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the variables of parental attention (X1) and learning facilities (X2) on student achievement (Y). This research is a type of descriptive and expost facto research. The population in this study were all first grade students of SMA Negeri 11 Semarang, South Semarang, Semarang City, Central Java, which consisted of 15 classes with a total of 430 students. The research sample was taken by random sampling, namely two classes were taken with a total of 70 students. The data collection method is a questionnaire to obtain data on parental attention and learning facilities, and documentation for learning achievement data. The data analysis technique used a regression analysis equation of two independent variables. The results of the analysis obtained the multiple regression equation Yˆ = 4.698 + 0.01X + 0.1X, and the coefficient of determination was 0.163 or 16.3%. This means that the contribution of the variables of parental attention and learning facilities together on student achievement at SMA Negeri 11 Semarang, South Semarang, Semarang City, Central Java is 16.3%, through the regression equation. Furthermore, the significance was tested using the F test. It turned out that FCount was 6.505 greater than FTable with dk = 67 and a significant level of 5% was 3.140. This means that the multiple regression model obtained can be used to predict learning achievement. Based on the data analysis, it can be explained that there is a positive and significant relationship between parental attention and learning facilities together with the learning achievement of first grade students at SMA Negeri 11 Semarang, South Semarang, Semarang City, Central Java.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) learning model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities, student activities, and to see the implementation of the Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) learning model on cube and block material for class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Narmada. This research is a quantitative research with experimental methods and uses a Pre-Experimental design in the form of Posttest-Only Control Design. The population in this study were all class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Narmada which consisted of five classes totaling 186 students. Samples were taken by simple random sampling technique. The sample consists of two classes, namely class VIIID as an experimental class with 35 students and class VIIIE as a control class with 35 students. The test results obtained a reliability level of 0.88 with a total of 28 students. It can be interpreted that the students' mathematical problem solving ability test questions have very high reliability and are suitable for use. The analysis carried out in this study was to determine the effect of the Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) learning model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities using the t-test calculation where the results of the analysis showed the influence of the Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) learning model on mathematical problem solving abilities. students of 0.91 with strong criteria. Analysis of student learning activity observation sheets showed an increase in student learning activities, which in the first meeting obtained a percentage of 87.15% and the second meeting was 89.11% with very active criteria. Analysis of the observation sheet on the implementation of the Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) learning model using the calculation of the percentage of implementation frequency obtained the percentage of 81.91% very good criteria.

Abstract

The aims of this study are: 1) to describe the ability to understand concepts through students' mathematical reasoning on the Cube and Block material; and 2) to determine the relationship between the mathematical reasoning abilities of MTs. students NW Senyiur with the ability to understand the concept of Cube and Block material. This research is a qualitative descriptive study conducted on 25 MTs. students NW Senyiur on the material of cubes and blocks. Data on students' mathematical reasoning abilities were collected through Mathematical Reasoning Tests (non-routine questions), while students' conceptual understanding abilities were collected through Concept Understanding Tests (routine questions). The two tests given each consist of 2 questions. In addition, interviews were conducted to collect more complete information from the sample that had been studied. Research data were analyzed by Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Test. The results of this study indicate that: 1) the average grade IX MTs. students NW Senyiur has good reasoning ability and conceptual understanding; and 2) there is no relationship between mathematical reasoning ability and concept understanding ability of grade IX MTs. students NW Senyiur on the material of cubes and blocks. The magnitude of the significant value that exceeds the provisions and the standard significance value is > 0.05, then there is no significant correlation (H0 is accepted). Thus, it can be concluded that, in this study, there is no relationship between mathematical reasoning abilities and students' conceptual understanding abilities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the contextual learning model assisted by LKS media on the understanding of science concepts in eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Lape, Sumbawa Regency. The type of research used in this research is Quasi Experiment (quasi-experimental). The research design used in this study was a pre-test post-test control group design. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Lape, Sumbawa Regency for the 2020/2021 academic year. The sample in this study were 2 classes, each of which became the experimental class and the control class. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. The instruments in this study were the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), Student Worksheets (LKS), and concept understanding tests. The data analysis technique used t-test at a significance level of 5%. The results obtained that the average pre-test value in the experimental class was 57 and in the control class was 58.25. The results of the pre-test and post-test in the experimental class are 45 and 70, while in the control class are 40 and 75. The results of the t-test are obtained tcount = 1.816 and ttable = 1.689, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, so there is a significant difference between students' understanding of science concepts in the experimental class and students' understanding of science concepts in the control class. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the contextual learning model assisted by LKS media on the understanding of science concepts for eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Lape, Sumbawa Regency.

Abstract

The success of a teacher in the learning process does not depend on mastery of the material, but the teacher must be able to master the model or learning method used in the delivery of the material being taught. One of the models in question is the One Chemistry Quiz Ranking Learning model. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Rank One Chemistry Quiz learning model on motivation and cognitive learning outcomes of seventh grade students of SMP Arinda Palembang 2019/2020. This type of research is experimental research, the research sample consists of two classes. The data collection technique was purposive sampling, class VII A as the experimental class and class VII B as the control class. The average value of cognitive learning outcomes in the experimental class was 74.56 and the control class was 68.70. Analysis of students' cognitive learning outcomes showed that the value of tcount > ttable was 1.93>1.61 at a significant level of 5%. In the experimental class, on average, students got the minimum criteria for completeness, while in the control class some students got the minimum criteria for completeness. The average learning motivation in the experimental class is 86.8% in the highly motivated category, while in the control class it is 70.86% in the motivated category. Thus, the Rank One Chemistry Quiz learning model can increase motivation and affect cognitive learning outcomes for seventh grade students of SMP Arinda Palembang in the 2019/2020 school year.

Abstract

One of the problems faced by students is that the teaching materials in the form of worksheets used still have shortcomings, namely they are still conventional or have not led to certain learning models so that students have difficulty understanding learning materials. For this reason, it is necessary to develop teaching materials in the form of LKS based on VAK (Visualization Auditory Kinesthetic) which is intended to make it easier for students to understand the lesson. The aims of this research are: 1) to develop VAK-based worksheets as alternative teaching materials for high school students; 2) produce worksheets that are developed based on VAK that are appropriate as alternative teaching materials for high school students; and 3) determine the readability of the LKS developed based on VAK as an alternative teaching material for high school students. This type of research is a development research with a 4-D model design consisting of four stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The results of developing Student Worksheets that have been compiled are then validated by 3 validators namely content, display, and language experts using an expert validation sheet instrument and a readability test using a questionnaire sheet instrument to the reader. Based on the results of the research on the development of VAK-based LKS, it is feasible to use with a validity level of 3.88 with a good category, a student readability test questionnaire with a score of 3.51 with a good readability category. So it can be concluded that the development of VAK-based worksheets with good categories can be used as alternative teaching materials for high school students.

Abstract

Based on the results of initial observations, it was found that students' motivation to learn mathematics was still lacking in terms of solving math problems. For this reason, the authors apply a realistic mathematics learning model in describing the process of applying a realistic mathematics learning model to increase students' motivation to learn mathematics. The type of research used in this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The results of this study were seen from the increase in students' motivation to learn mathematics in each cycle. The results of student learning motivation at the end of the lesson were 71.7% in the first cycle and 80.3% in the second cycle. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of a realistic mathematics learning model can increase students' motivation to learn mathematics.

Abstract

The curriculum currently applied in Indonesia, namely Curriculum 2013 demands that learning be directed at student-centered-learning, so that the teacher is no longer the only actor in the learning process but shifts to become a facilitator. One of the learning models that involve students actively in the learning process is the cooperative learning model. However, in its implementation it often causes problems, namely the occurrence of gaps in student participation in group work. This participation gap will lead to new problems, especially if the teacher gives the same value to all group members without considering the contribution of each student. Meanwhile, to assess the performance of each student in the group, it is not easy for the teacher to do this, especially if the number of students is quite large in one class. One solution to overcome these problems is to implement peer-assessment. This study aims to provide a theoretical study of the application of peer-assessment to increase student participation in cooperative learning. This research is a library research (library research). Researchers obtain data by conducting literature reviews from various sources such as books, journals, scientific works, as well as documents and other relevant literature.
