Abstract

The research is motivated by the importance of android-based virtual lab learning media in thermochemical material. The purpose of this study was to describe the appearance of android-based virtual lab learning media on thermochemical material, analyze the results of the validation test, and the feasibility of the media. The research method is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The virtual lab display consists of eight main menus, namely pretest, theoretical basis, MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet), procedures, practicum, posttest, compilers and basic competencies. The virtual lab presents thermochemistry practicums related to everyday life which are equipped with animations, pictures and questions. Then the user must fill in the pretest to find out the initial understanding, follow a series of practicums and fill out the posttest to find out their understanding. Research data information can be seen in the compiler menu. The results of the validation test were obtained with an average value of 89.32%. The results of the feasibility test obtained an average value of 90.25%. Based on the results of product validation and feasibility tests, this virtual lab is suitable for use in the learning process

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the metacognitive ability in solving mathematical problems on students' learning creativity in solving problems that exist in the description questions with students' creative learning abilities. The type of research used is a descriptive qualitative approach with the research subject used is the results of 18 students of class XII RPL who have been determined by their mathematics teacher. This study focuses on the metacognitive abilities of the students who are expected to have a level with five stages that have been tested, namely very high, high, medium, low, and very low. By using the instrument used in this metacognitive ability research, namely a metacognitive ability test about arithmetic sequences and series that pays attention to students' learning creativity and a questionnaire about students' metacognitive abilities by looking at their mathematical problem solving abilities. The data analysis technique used is drawing conclusions and presenting data from random sampling used from 18 students. The results of the data analysis have aspects that are fulfilled from the five stages tested and aspects of students' mathematical problem solving on students' learning creativity meet their metacognitive abilities

Abstract

The Research based on the necessity of attractive media for effective nuclear charge and Slater rules learning. Accordingly, in this research Elchem Card Game learning media was made, which was a card game with flow of use inspired by Intermolecular Forces Game. By using Design Based Research method, this research intended to result the product and to analyze the result of product’s validation test and trial test. Validation test of Elchem Card Game results an average calculation 0,85 in learning aspect, 0,86 in concept substance aspect, 0,86 in language aspect, and 0,86 in media visual aspect. As for trial test shows that Elchem Card Game is very feasible with percentage in learning aspect is 94%, in concept substance aspect is 100%, in language aspect is 94%, and in media visual aspect is 87%. Therefore, it can be concluded that Elchem Card Game can be used as learning media in effective nuclear charge and Slater rules concepts
