Abstract

Indonesia's commitment by 2060 is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and realize net zero emissions. The transition of electric vehicles in the transportation sector with renewable energy is a solution to reduce emissions. However, the ownership rate of battery-based electric vehicles in Indonesia is still low. This study empirically discusses the effect of the BBN KB incentive policy designed to encourage ownership of battery-based electric vehicles in Indonesia. To determine the effect of the BBN KB incentive policy on battery-based electric vehicle ownership, a Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) panel data analysis with Pooled Ordinary Least Square (POLS) estimation technique is used using secondary data from 34 provinces in Indonesia from 2019-2022. The results of the analysis found that the BBN KB incentive policy has a significant effect on increasing ownership of electric vehicles, especially battery-based electric cars in Indonesia. The factors of the number of charging infrastructure (SPKLU), consumer awareness, fuel prices and open unemployment rates have a significant influence on ownership of battery-based electric motorized vehicles. Analysis on the island of Java explains that there is a significant effect on increasing ownership of battery-based electric car vehicles after the policy is implemented, while on non-Java island the BBN KB incentive policy shows an insignificant impact on increasing ownership of battery-based electric vehicles, especially 4-wheelers.

Abstract

A business that can build a ready innovation ecosystem will tend to have better digital marketing capabilities than other competitors. Digital marketing adoption indicates the level of use of digital marketing technology in an organization. The research aims to determine the effect of digital marketing adoption on digital marketing capabilities in Omah Kepiting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in Surabaya. In this research, the data were analyzed using the PLS-SEM statistical method to determine the weight of each research indicator. The PLS-SEM method was chosen because there was an abnormality in the distribution of the data and the research required latent variable scores for further analysis. These findings are interesting because although the readiness of the innovation ecosystem does not have a direct effect on digital marketing adoption (?= 0.114; P-value > 0.05), digital marketing adoption turns out to have a significant positive impact on the company's digital marketing capabilities (?= 0.125; P- value < 0.05). Conclusion of digital transformation in improving the company's digital marketing capabilities, which can be the main driver in facing increasingly complex market dynamics and increasingly fierce competition.

Abstract

Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) have become a common strategy in business development in today's global market. This study aims to analyze the effect of M&A on the financial performance of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Data is collected from companies that experienced M&A during a certain period, focusing on financial variables such as profitability, liquidity, leverage, and sales growth. The panel regression analysis method was used to test the research hypothesis. The results show that M&A has a significant influence on the financial performance of companies on the IDX. Specifically, the findings show an increase in profitability and sales growth after M&A, while liquidity tends to decrease in the short term after the transaction. Leverage may also fluctuate depending on the capital structure and financial policies the company implements post-M&A. This study provides valuable insights for stakeholders in the Indonesian capital market, including investors, fund managers, and regulators, to understand the implications of M&A on firms' financial performance. The practical implications of this study can assist firms in planning and evaluating their M&A decisions more carefully to increase firm value and reduce the risks associated with such transactions.

Abstract

Poverty is not only a crucial economic problem because it tends to increase and result in instability in various sectors of life, so handling it needs to be a shared responsibility. Regions that are rich in mineral resources also still have problems of poverty and unemployment, including in the Banua Enam region, South Kalimantan Province. This research analyzes the influence of mining sector growth, unemployment, and the capital expenditure ratio on poverty levels in the Banua Enam region, South Kalimantan Province. This type of research is explanatory and focuses on testing existing theories in the context of other research using panel data regression for 6 districts and 12 years. The results of this research suggest that the growth of the mining sector, unemployment, and the capital expenditure ratio, both partially and simultaneously, have a positive and significant effect on the poverty level. In other words, the higher the unemployment, the higher the poverty level. However, the higher growth of the mining sector and the capital expenditure ratio also increase poverty. Therefore, policies are needed that are pro-poor so that the growth of the mining sector and increased capital expenditure can overcome the problem of poverty.
