Abstract

This study aims to determine the most appropriate method and sterilization technique for the growth of abaca weevil shoot explants taken directly from the field and to determine the effect of the dose of growth regulator BAP (Benzile amino purine) on the growth of abaca feed. explants (Musa textilis Nee). through in vitro techniques. This study uses the multilevel sterilization method and the sterilization method using direct observation, namely when the explants have become shoots. The results showed that the appropriate sterilization method was a fixed sterilization method with bayclin treatment with a concentration of 30% for (30 minutes), 20% for (20 minutes), 10% for (10 minutes) with several techniques carried out so that the explant was successful. grow, namely in the 6th technique. Induction of shoots of abaka banana weevil explants in BAP treatment was best at 7 ppm treatment by producing 5 shoots. With the height of each shoot, namely: a (0.9 cm), b (0.3 cm), c (0.4 cm), d (0.4 cm), and e (0.5 cm).

Abstract

Edible landscape is one of the multifunctional approaches in landscape planning specifically urban agricultural landscape planningbecause it can increase the beauty of the area and at the same time strengthen local food security, as well as other ecological, social and economic functions. Various choices of edible landscape designs are needed that take into account space limitations to support effective and efficient land use. The purpose of this paper is to provide several choices of edible landscape designs, especially for urban areas in improving aesthetics and food production. The research was carried out from mid-July to the end of August 2022. The data collection method used the documentation method through the collection of literature studies related to the edible landscape. The design method (design creation) is carried out through the stages of preparation, inventory, analysis, synthesis, concept generation, planning, and design (Saroinsong, 2022). Several designs were made to be an option or reference for the idea of developing an edible landscape in urban areas. To increase community support and involvement, the design took into account the limitations of land, the principle of multifunctionality, ease of cultivation and harvesting, and emphasized that the selection of edible plants is related to the daily lives of local people. The conclusion of this research is that the edible landscape design applies the concept of multifunctional land and approaches to community involvement and empowerment.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the concentration of Cu, Zn, and pH in mining wastewater at the Pit Osela of PT J Resources Bolaang Mongondow (JRBM) and the effect of absorption of water hyacinth (eichhornia c) and water lettuce (pistia stratiotes) on heavy metals Cu, Zn and pH in plant tissues. Research Methods: The study was located in PT JRBM's greenhouse in Bolaang Mongondow Regency with Mining Wastewater (ALP) in Pit Osela (mining). The results: Cu concentration in ALP Pit Osela in the initial condition was 15.59 mg/l. The decrease in Cu concentration by water hyacinth started from 7.02 mg/l to 15.48 mg/l with an effectiveness of 45% to 99.3%. The concentration of Cu after being given water lettuce on the third day (38 days) was 0.12 mg/l. The concentration of Cu on the third day group was 8.51 mg/l. The concentration of Zn in ALP in Pit Osela (mining area) in the initial condition was 7.03 mg/l, after being given water hyacinth and water lettuce on the third day (38 days) it became 0.00 mg/l. The concentration of Zn in the control group on the first day was 7.01 mg/l, on the third day it was 7.01 mg/l. The pH concentration of ALP in the Osela Pit in the initial condition was 3.03. Increasing the concentration of pH with aquatic plant treatment after some time finally the wastewater can meet the environmental quality standard (BML) 6-9. The control group that was not given water plants, the initial concentration was pH 3.03, the pH on the first day was 3.30, the second and third days the concentration was the same, namely 3.30. There is an effect of absorption of water hyacinth and water lettuce on Cu and Zn content in plant tissues (leaves and roots).
