Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the maximum capacity of roads in overcoming bottlenecks using the Maximum Network Flow Model and analyze the interaction of the distribution of the movement with the city located around the city of Ambon by using Gravity Model. Data obtained using the method of documentation. Obtained results, the maximum number of cars that can pass through the road network in 1 hour is 68 units. Line 1 is the terminal Mahardika to Kudamati has exceeded the capacity for the first hour there are 104 units of the car were gone and behind 102 cars. While the other track is still low, so that the growth and development of land transportation is strongly recommended. Results of the analysis of the gravitational interaction with the transport of the most powerful city of Ambon is Karang Panjang Town with great interaction and 6781.96088 weakest interaction is with great interaction Leahari City 5.27899.

Abstract

This study aimed to assess the role of the agricultural sector in Southeast Minahasa Regency. The role was measured by the contribution of the agricultural sector in GRDP and the position of the agricultural sector in the regency economy, whether as it was a base or non-base sector. This research was conducted in Southeast Minahasa Regency. The data used were collected from the Central Bureau of Statistics, both South Minahasa and North Sulawesi offices, Planning Board (Bappeda) of Southeast Minahasa, and the Agricultural Agency of Southeast Minahasa Regency. The data were analyzed by calculating  the contribution of the agricultural sector, LQ and DLQ. The results showed that inspite of the drop in recent years, the agricultural sector remained had the largest contribution in GRDP of Southeast Minahasa Regency. Based on LQ analysis, it was shown that the agricultural sector was one of the four base sectors. Other base sectors were mining and quarrying, manufacturing, and construction sectors. Furthermore, from five sub-sectors within the agricultural sector, two of them were base sub sectors, namely food crops and plantation, while livestocks, forestry and fisheries were non-base sub-sectors. Based on DLQ analysis, the position of the agricultural sector in the future would remain as a base sector. There would be several sub-sectors in agriculture that had the potential to become base sub-sectors in the future, namely food crops, plantation, livestock and forestry, while fisheries sub-sector was predicated to remain as a non base sub-sector in the future.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the efficiency of use of factors of production in Broccoli farming. Research carried out on all Broccoli farmers in Kakaskasen Village. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with a model of Cobb-Douglas production function. The results showed that the uses of factors of production (land, seed, fertilizer and labor) have given a significant effect simultantly on the production of broccoli in Kakaskasen Village. Technically, the use of production factors of seed, fertilizer, NPK fertilizer and labor is efficient, while the use production factor of land is not efficient yet and Urea fertilizer production factor is not efficient. Economically, the use of production factors of land, seed, fertilizer, NPK fertilizer and labor have not been efficient yet, while the use of factors of production of urea is not efficient.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are: 1) describes the process of rural development in Sub Sinonsayang; 2) examine the factors in the development process of regional autonomy era village in the district of South Minahasa regency Sinonsayang. The method used in a descriptive study using a quantitative approach, among others, using a Likert scale, ie research which is then processed and analyzed to be concluded, using primary and secondary data. Primary data is data obtained directly in the field through direct interviews with respondents. Secondary data were obtained from the District Office and the Central Bureau of Statistics Sinonsayang South Minahasa District. The results showed that: first, the process of rural development in Sub Sinonsayang starting from the planning, implementation and maintenance of development. while the second: 1) factor of natural resources which consists of land owned by the community, the results and the types of commodity crops, and the number of livestock and meat production of commodity fish catches with the overall average amount is 2.59 and included in the category "large enough"; 2) human resources consisting of level of education completed and ability or skill that people have shown an average of 2.72, and these results are categorized as "good enough"; 3) economy consists of taxes and incomes gained an average of 3.5, and are categorized as "good"; 4) public services which consist of services in the realization of development, the service performance of the apparatus, the timeliness of administrative services, facilities and infrastructure availability services overall average of 3.9, including the category of "good"; 5) community participation that includes community involvement in rural development through meeting attendance, willingness to provide energy assistance, money, materials, and maintenance and keep construction with an average of 4.7, and are categorized as "very good".

Abstract

The research result showed that there was 2 marketing channel of onion in Tonsewer village, Tompaso Barat Sub District, Minahasa Regency that are: (1) Channel   1    : Farmer→ Retailer→ Consumer, (2) Channel   2     : Farmer→ Collecting trader→ Retailer→ Consumer. The highest marketing margin was obtained by collecting trader that is Rp. 4.333,33 (Karombasan market), did the lowest is Rp. 2.333,33 (Tomohon market). While the highest marketing margin obtained by retailer that is Rp. 4.000,00 (Karombasan market) and the lowest is Rp. 2.333,33 (Langowan and Kawangkoan market). The highest profit margin is Rp. 3.924,48 (Karombasan market) and the lowest is Rp. 2.246,16 (Langowan and Kawangkoan market). Keywords : marketing efficiency, marketing margin, profit margin.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how social changes in the lives of coconut farmers in the village Senduk over the last 10 years. This study uses a case study. Data collected in the form of primary data and secondary data. Primary data was collected by means of in-depth interviews on 20 respondents who are coconut farmers. The primary data is regarding the farmer characteristics and the occuring of social change process. While secondary data such as population growth comes from the Senduk village office. Primary data were analyzed descriptively. The research results showed that social change in the form of social order has been a shift. In this case the shift in social norms that lead to behavioral changes in Senduk coconut farmers in the village. The results showed that social change in the form of social order has been a shift. In this case the shift in social norms that lead to behavioral changes in society Senduk coconut farmers in the village. Likewise, there has been a change in people's lifestyles, people are more likely to implement a consumptive lifestyle. Coupled with the influx of new technologies have led to reduce a directly social interaction and also farmers began to abandon their traditions. Population growth that occurred over the last 10 years has led to an increase in density which in turn leads to the village of Senduk government should expand the area of ​​new settlements. The expansion of residential areas has an impact on agricultural land with the narrowing of agricultural land due to the transfer of use of agricultural land to residential land.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the participation of members in the development of farmer groups in the village Soatobaru Galela District West. The research is expected to provide information regarding participation of farmer group members on farmer group development. This research was conducted in the village of Soatobaru Galela District West, North Halmahera and lasted for three months from preparation through statements commencing from April to June 2015. Data collections were using primary data and secondary data. The primary data obtained through interviews with members of farmer groups based on a list of questions that had been prepared previously. Research was using census method in both groups of farmers that farmers group One Heart with group members 26 and Melati Jaya with members of 24 people who lived in the village of Soatobaru Galela District West. Secondary data were obtained from the parties or the relevant agencies inclulding Soatobaru village office and two farmer group offices/ documentation. Member participation in the development of farmer groups in the village Soatobaru Galela District West by 5 (five) indicators, namely: Presence in the preparation of the program, activeness provide feedback or opinions in the preparation of the program, active participation in the implementation of activities within the group, activeness helps fund the group, activeness program evaluation in groups and activeness in providing input or opinion in the evaluation. Based on the results of the study found that the level of participation of members of farmers One Heart classified in the category of active, it is seen from the activity of members in the activities of farmer groups ranging from the involvement of the presence in the preparation of the program, the liveliness of their input or opinions in the preparation of the program, active participation in the implementation of activities within the group , activeness of program evaluation in the group, as well as active in providing input or opinion in the evaluation. While the level of participation of members of farmer group Melati Jaya relatively less active on five aspects because they still lack of information and lack of initiative of members of farmer groups.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to know the shape and the role of level of community participation in conservation programs Maleo (Macrocephalon maleo) in Mataindo Vilage, the research was conducted in Mataindo Vilage, sub distric Pinolosian Tengah, districs Bolaang Mongondow Selatan. The data collections have done by interviews. To specify of the sample to be interview are using the method simple random sampling. That the sampling of community randomly. With the total sample of 20 of respondents is obtained. Respondents interviewed were respondents lived 20 - 40 years old, age 41 - 50 years old, and 51 years and older. Mataindo village directly adjacent to the village Torosik in the east, west to the village Lungkap, south Maluku Sea, and north to the village of North Mataindo. The total area of the village of Mataindo is ± 3500 m² of the area of the District Middle Pinolosian. At this stage of planning with a form of activity following the meeting, to provide suggestion/ ideas, and get involved in decision making and implementation phase in the form of activity of making hathceries (nesting place) and plantation product (post-harvest) as well as monitoring activities. Based on the role of the level of community participation in the in conservation program maleo in Mataindo for village the planning, implementation and monitoring of are categorized be in between the active enough and activie.

Abstract

The aims of this researcxh are to evaluate and assess the effectiveness of Bantuan Langsung Masyarakat – Pengembangan Usaha Mina Perdesaan (BLM-PUMP) program, and to know the impact of the implementation of the program to the fishing communities’ economic life in Tidore Village, Sub-district of East Tahuna. The village is one of the target area of the BLM - PUMP program. Research carried out for three months; with the number of respondents sample are 17 fishermen. Data were analyzed by descriptive qualitative and quantitative in tabulation form, percentage and scoring. The results showed that the BLM-PUMP program in Tidore Village accordance with the procedures and criteria set by the government. There are some deficiencies found in the implementation of the program: a) non-physical aid program forms is not used optimally; b) there is no capital turnover; c) supervisor does not properly function, assisting and training does not continue on to post-disbursement.  BLM-PUMP program has produced output in the form of fishing infrastructure that is still used as a shared/KUB asset, and the Joint Business Group (KUB), but the function did not go well. BLM-PUMP program in the Village Tidore founded to be less effective, because the program objectives are not fully achieved. Distribution of BLM-PUMP only able to increase the income of fishermen, and foster entrepreneurial fishermen sufficiently, but are not able to improve the function of KUB institutional as a financial institution partners for fishermen. Nonetheless, the program provides economic impacts on fishing communities, which increase the income of fishermen and sufficiently reduce the dependence of fishermen on the capital providers/owners. (individual / institution).

Abstract

The uncertaintity and environmental dynamics faced by an organization are highly correlated with the firm’s presence in the organization environment.  Every organization has to an ability to analyze the organization environment in finding and maintaining its competitive advantage. There are some perspectives explaining about the relationship an organization and its environment, one of them is Resources-Based View (RBV). This Resources-Based View (RBV) is a perspective of strategic management focusing on organization level resources, having organization idiosyncratic resources and maximizing the overall resources of organization compared to competitor.  These resources can be a source of relational rents and competitive advantage. The RBV theorizes that the accumulation of resource stocks, that are valuable, rare, imperfectly imitable and non-subsitutable.  The resource-based view of the firm provides a useful perspective for explaining firm growth and sustainable competitive advantage. The purpose of this paper is to explain how an organization in finding and maintaining the competitive advantage in the aspect of Resources-based View (RBV).
