Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that remains a serious concern in Indonesia, including Bone Regency. This condition is associated with long-term undernutrition, maternal knowledge of nutrition, and suboptimal caregiving practices and affects physical growth, cognitive development, productivity, and the risk of disease later in life. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between dietary adequacy, maternal nutrition knowledge, and caregiving practices with stunting among toddlers in the service area of UPT Puskesmas Koppe and to identify the dominant factors influencing it. An analytic quantitative study with a cross-sectional design was conducted in the UPT Puskesmas Koppe service area. A total of 43 respondents were selected using purposive sampling based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data were collected through interviews using questionnaires and a Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) to measure dietary adequacy, maternal knowledge, and caregiving practices. Data analysis included univariate, bivariate (chi-square test), and multivariate (logistic regression) analyses. The prevalence of stunting in toddlers was 39.5%. There was a significant association between dietary adequacy and stunting (p=0.000), in which all toddlers with inadequate nutrition were stunted. Caregiving practices were also significantly associated with stunting (p=0.024), with a 6.75-times higher risk among toddlers receiving suboptimal care. Maternal knowledge was not significantly associated with stunting (P =0.783). Logistic regression confirmed that dietary adequacy was the most important factor influencing stunting. Adequate nutrition and optimal care are crucial for preventing stunting. Interventions should prioritize improving access to and the quality of nutrition, as well as strengthening caregiving practices at the household level through support from health workers.

Abstract

Pollution caused by the continued practice of dumping waste into the river and burning it has become a serious problem in Nagari Tanjung, Koto VII Subdistrict, and Sijunjung Regency. The community and village government have not felt sufficiently supported by the existence of a final disposal site (TPA), so residents—especially housewives—dispose of waste around the river, and some residents burn it. This has led to pollution and negative health and environmental effects. Therefore, a community service program was implemented that involved educating the community on waste management and hands-on practice in making ecobricks as a practical approach to utilizing plastic waste. The program ran for three weeks, from June 19, 2025, to July 10, 2025, in Jorong Ujung Padang, involving 44 participants from the beneficiary community members, nagari officials, and students. Throughout the implementation, the activities were guided and facilitated by two supervising lecturers. The stages included delivering material on the importance of waste management, training on Ecobricks production, and mentoring in applying environmentally friendly concepts. The results showed increased community awareness in managing plastic waste and the successful production of 100 ecobricks, which were used as garden elements.

Abstract

The advancement of Internet technology has given rise to various digital innovations, including crowdfunding platforms that facilitate online fundraising. The Klik Amal website was developed as a medium for donations, fundraising, and sedekah subuh (pre-dawn alms) in an efficient manner to encourage public participation and social awareness. This website was built using the PHP programming language and a MySQL database, supported by XAMPP and Visual Studio Code on Windows 11 operating system. The system is equipped with three main features and is integrated with Midtrans payment services, which support QRIS, e-wallets, and Virtual Accounts. The SDLC waterfall model was used for development, covering analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The development results show that the Klik Amal website is user-friendly, responsive, and easily accessible. This system is expected to serve as a practical and beneficial digital medium for sharing kindness among users. The Klik Amal website has been hosted at the link https://klikamal.my.id/

Abstract

Avocado leaves (Persea americana Mill.) contain flavonoids, saponins, and phenols, which are thought to exert muscle-relaxing effects through central nervous system depressant mechanisms. This study investigated the muscle-relaxing effects of avocado leaf extract (Persea americana) in male mice. Nine male mice were divided into three groups and administered 1%, 2%, and 4% avocado leaf infusions orally. Motor activity and reflex responses were observed every 15 min until the 100th min to assess muscle relaxation effects. The results showed that the muscle-relaxation effect increased with increasing extract concentration, at 15.55%, 34.44%, and 42.22%, respectively. Flavonoids and saponins are thought to play a role in increasing GABA activity, which reduces muscle tone. Avocado leaf extract showed muscle relaxation effects that increased with dose and has the potential to be a natural muscle relaxant through GABA activation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the variations in the use of the word "keadaan" ("state") in news about the DPR's demands demonstration and to map its meaning categories based on the Natural Semantic Metalanguage (MSA) approach. This study uses a qualitative method with documentation techniques on online news texts containing the word "keadaan" ("state") and collected from various national news portals during the period of August–September 2025. The analysis was carried out in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions based on the Natural Semantic Metalanguage theory of Wierzbicka and Goddard (2014). The results of the study found 20 words variations that represent five main categories of meaning of "keadaan" ("state"): stable and positive states, negative and chaotic states, states of density/mobility, psychological/emotional states, and uncertain states. The dominant semantic primes are PEOPLE, HAPPEN, and GOOD/BAD. This study confirms that the MSA approach is effective in explaining the meaning of state words in a simple but profound way, while at the same time shows that media language shapes socio political perceptions through lexical choices
