Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship of interpersonal intelligence with biology learning outcomes and to determine the contribution of interpersonal intelligence to biology learning outcomes, the sampling technique was carried out by total sampling, the data collection tool was a closed questionnaire. The results of the analysis of the data obtained are "there is no significant relationship between interpersonal intelligence and biology learning outcomes, based on the calculation of the correlation coefficient, the magnitude of the correlation value (r) (0.12) is between 0.00-0.20, meaning interpersonal intelligence has a very low and even negligible correlation interpretation on biology learning outcomes and the magnitude of the contribution of interpersonal intelligence is only 1.5% on biology learning outcomes.

Abstract

The aims of this research is to identify the types of chemical compounds that have the most role in wound treatment in mice (Mus musculus Linn.) using guava leaves (Psidium guajava Linn.) and cashew nuts (Anacardium occidentale Linn.). Based on TLC (Thin Layer Chromatography) analysis, the compounds contained in guava leaves and cashew leaves are flavonoids, saponins, tannins and alkaloids with a significant effect on wound treatment in mice. The amount of chemical compounds in guava leaves was 35.105 ppm, 31.508 ppm,9.400 ppm and 1.985 ppm, respectively. While in cashew leaves 42.752 ppm, 31.616 ppm, 8,001 and 1,832 ppm.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of using audio-visual media on student learning outcomes in the excretory system material. The population in this study were students of class XI IPA MAN 1 Padangsidimpuan as many as 4 classes and samples obtained randomly as many as 2 classes, namely class XI IPA1 as an experimental class using audio-visual media and class XI IPA3 as a control class without using audio-visual media. . The instrument in this study used a multiple-choice learning outcome test. The data analysis technique used a one-part t-test. The results of the post-test data hypothesis test obtained tcount = 7.46 and ttable = 1.671 at the significance level = 0.05 so that tcount ttable means Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Thus it can be concluded that student learning outcomes using audiovisual media are higher than those without using audiovisual media in the excretory system material.

Abstract

Practicum has an important role in learning science, especially biology. The continuity of the practicum can be supported by the existence of laboratory facilities. This study aims to determine the description of the implementation of biology practicum and the completeness of laboratory infrastructure at Senior High School State of Padangsidimpuan. The research method in this study is quantitative descriptive with 97 students and 11 biology teachers as the sample. Collecting data using questionnaires and observations. Questionnaires for teachers and students were used to determine the implementation of the practicum and observations in the laboratory were used to determine the completeness of the biology laboratory infrastructure. Based on data analysis, the average implementation of biology practicum and completeness of biology laboratory is 74.51 and 72.06 respectively.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in learning outcomes of students who were taught using and not using Mind Map technique in topic of human digestive systemin in XI Grade of Science Program SMA Negeri 1 Panyabungan. Kind of this research is an experimen research. The population of the research is all of the student in XI Grade of Science Program SMA N 1 Panyabungan which included into 4 classes with total 154 students. Samples in this study were 2 classes consisting of 74 students with a cluster random sampling technique. No difference in learning outcomesin both these studies clas of research is evidenced through hypothesis testing using t-test with confidence level α = 0.05, where tcount ˂ ttable (0,54 ˂ 1.67), which means that the research in H0 be accepted and Ha is rejected. Concluded that there was no statistical difference in which class Mind Map (1 X = 66,40 ; SD = 12,48) and class without Mind Map (2 X = 64,95 ; SD = 10,35) in topic of human digestive system in XI IPA N 1 Panyabungan High School.
