Abstract

This qualitative research uses an ethnographic approach by utilizing the researcher as the main instrument. Researchers play an active role in data collection, data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research obtained an analysis of the manufacturing process and product results regarding the shape of the food, it is known that the traditional Malay coastal food of Mandailing Natal has geometric shapes in the form of flat shapes and space shapes. There are three geometric shapes found, namely tubes, rhombuses/parallelograms, and circles. and the concept of comparison (ratio) can be seen from the comparison of the production results of various forms of Alu Padeh and Panyaram

Abstract

This research aims to describe students' numeracy abilities. The subjects of this research were Class IV students at SD N 4 Karangmalang, Kudus Regency. The instruments used in this research were questionnaires, observation sheets, interview guides and numeracy ability tests. The numeracy ability test in this study took the form of story questions covering 10 numbers based on 3 indicators of numeracy ability. The data analysis techniques used are based on Miles and Hiberman, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Meanwhile, in order to test the validity of the data, a triangulation method was carried out, namely comparing interview data with test result data. The research results stated that numeracy literacy skills with high initial ability subjects can state 3 indicators, numeracy literacy ability with medium initial ability subjects can state 2 indicators, and numeracy literacy ability with low initial ability subjects can only state 1 indicator. The indicator of numeracy ability consists of 3 indicators, namely being able to use various symbols and numbers related to basic mathematics in order to solve problems in various contexts of real life, carrying out analysis of information presented in various forms (diagrams, charts, tables, graphics, etc.) ), as well as interpreting the results of the research in order to calculate and make decisions

Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to see the differences in the numeracy literacy abilities of students taught using the Problem Based Learning learning model in class XI MIA 2 and Project Based Learning in class XI MIA 2 in Linear Program material. This research uses an experimental method with a post-test two experimental group design with a population of 5 classes XI MIA totaling 179 students and a sample of 2 classes namely XI MIA 1 totaling 36 students and indicator of numeracy literacy ability. The research results showed that there was no significant difference between classes XI MIA 1 and XI MIA 2 regarding students' numeracy literacy abilities in Linear Program material.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the mathematical concepts contained in the Malay Songket Weaving Motifs of Batu Bara Culture. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with an ethnographic approach. The ethnographic approach is an empirical and theoretical approach that aims to obtain a cultural description and analysis through field research. The results of this research found mathematical concepts of geometric shapes which are specifically used in Malay Songket Weaving Motifs, especially in the concept of flat shapes, namely, triangles, rhombuses, ellipses and circles. The concept of Arithmetic Sequences is also found in this Malay Songket Weaving Motif, namely that there are motifs that have the same shape but are found to be repeated. The ethnomatic conclusion is very simple and can be seen clearly in the motifs of Malay Songket Weaving in Batubara Culture

Abstract

Ethnomathematics is mathematics found in culture. The aim of this research is to explore mathematical concepts at the Syahrun Nur Sipirok Mosque. The research method used is a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, conclusions. The results of this research are that at the Syahrun Nur Sipirok mosque there are mathematical concepts in the form of flat shapes and spatial shapes which are viewed from the architecture and ornamental motifs, namely triangles, squares, parallelograms, blocks, rhombuses and hexagons
