Abstract

The main objective of this research is to optimize the understanding of AltCoin price synchronization, with a focus on Ethereum, during different periods of Bitcoin dominance. This research uses secondary data through 162 observations for each cryptocurrency collected (BTC and ETH). The Vector Autoregressive (VAR)/Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) method is used as the analytical technique. The findings of this study have the potential to provide a strong foundation for the development of investment strategies in the cryptocurrency market. This study has identified different impact patterns on AltCoin prices during the High, Middle and Low Dominance Phases. The research findings reflect different impact patterns depending on the phase of Bitcoin dominance, indicating the complexity of market dynamics related to certain factors.

Foriegn Direct Investment (FDI) in the agriculture sector decreases the poverty rate, FDIM in the manufacturing sector increases the poverty rate, FDIS in the service sector increases the poverty rate. OPN decreases the poverty rate, and EXR increases the poverty rate in Nigeria, according to the ECM. An important factor in trade is the currency's exchange rate and fluctuation of exchange rate is very concerning issue in current period over the world. Bangladesh, a developing economy, depends mostly on agriculture sector, recent period’s fluctuation of exchange rates of the country influences its export and import of the agricultural production.  This research examines how the real exchange rate affects agricultural production's import and export between 1977 and 2015 in Bangladesh. Variables like Total Agricultural Production, Real Gross Domestic Product, Exchange rates, and Exports and Imports of Agricultural Product have been taken for this study. Ordinary Least Square Method (OLS) and other related econometrical techniques are applied to find the association among indicators. The research indicates that the exchange rate shows no discernible effect on the import and export of agricultural production in Bangladesh. However, Real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the country portraits no significant influence on agricultural exports while portraits positive significant influence on agricultural imports. This research contributes to appropriate policies and actions that must be implemented at an equitable level.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to understand the progress of inclusive economic development in Badung Regency in Bali Province through the analysis of the Inclusive Economic Development Index (IEDI). The research is motivated by two things, first, the issue of inclusivity is an issue amidst the rapid pace of economic development in Badung Regency. Second, the analysis of IEDI data is not yet widely known and used in regional development policy formulation. The method used in this research is descriptive statistics and a literature study. The results of the analysis show that from 2012 to 2021, the average IEDI value for Badung Regency was 5.85 with a decreasing trend. This condition indicates symptoms of widening economic development gaps at a high rate of economic growth. Through this research, it is hoped that analysis of development can be carried out from a comprehensive perspective, later on policy formulation is expected to be oriented towards inclusive economic development.

Abstract

This paper aims to investigate the gender patterns and determinants of unpaid work within the context of India. The primary objectives are two-fold: first, to analyze the time utilization patterns of both men and women in paid, unpaid, and leisure activities, and second, to explore the factors influencing unpaid work. The methodology employed in this study relies on secondary data, specifically the unit-level data from the Indian Time Use Survey conducted in 2019. Descriptive analysis utilized to dissect time allocation patterns. Additionally, the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method has been employed to examine the relationships between unpaid time and other explanatory variables. The findings of this study reveal significant disparities in unpaid work between men and women, irrespective of whether they reside in urban or rural areas. Women consistently allocate more time to unpaid work than men. Furthermore, the research identifies key determinants of unpaid time, including gender, marital status, level of education, and usual employment status, all of which play pivotal roles in shaping time allocation patterns.  In conclusion, this study sheds light on the intricate dynamics of unpaid work, emphasizing its gendered nature and the multifaceted factors that underpin these disparities. Understanding these patterns and determinants is crucial for informing policies aimed at promoting gender equality and addressing domestic and care-related responsibilities.

Abstract

The Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exposition (MICE) industry is very important for Indonesia because it directly provides benefits for entrepreneurs in the tourism sector and contributes to improving the quality of the community's economy. The MICE industry also provides benefits to the people of Labuan Bajo as a host. The 42nd ASEAN Summit 2023 is proof of readiness to organize international-scale events. Based on the objective conditions of the field, the occupancy rate reaches 100%, and many parties are constrained by accommodation. This study aims to see the direct economic impact obtained by the community on the accommodation sector. This research uses the qualitative descriptive analysis method where data is collected through observation, interviews, and literature from related party sources. The participants involved came from community groups in 4 sub-districts in West Manggarai Regency. The collected data is analyzed, reduced, verified, and drawn conclusions. The results showed that there were more than 50 houses rented with duration from 7 to 16 days. The rental price of residents' houses is from the range of 12 to 30 (million units). The price difference is caused by: The size of the house, number of rooms, facilities, mileage, and negotiation skills. Total income from renting houses reached IDR 1,206,000,000. It is concluded that there is an economic turnover (positive) from renting houses due to supply (accommodation) being lower than demand (visitors). This is a new finding for Labuan Bajo as a destination where residents' homes as an alternative when the accommodation is full.

Abstract

This study investigates the key drivers of village fund fraud, expanding on the established fraud diamond model. Conducted in the Patallasang sub-district of Gowa Regency, the research surveyed 51 village government officials to analyze the influence of pressure, opportunity, rationalization, capabilities, and individual morality on fraudulent activities related to village funds. The results reveal that pressure, opportunity, and rationalization have significant positive effects on village fund fraud, while capabilities and individual morality exert significant negative influences. Individual morality emerges as the most dominant factor in determining the occurrence of village fund fraud. This study contributes to the theoretical development of the fraud diamond framework by incorporating individual morality as a critical causal element in understanding fraud within the village fund context. The findings of this study hold important implications for policymakers and local government authorities tasked with mitigating fraud and ensuring the effective utilization of village funds. By addressing the multifaceted drivers identified, targeted interventions can be designed to strengthen governance, promote ethical decision-making, and safeguard the integrity of village-level financial management.
