Abstract

Quality is an important key in a production process, especially in an increasingly developing era such as the current era of globalization. PT PPW is a company engaged in the stainless steel pipe industry. In the production process, there are three processes that use three production machines. Where the three machines still often experience defects in the second and third processes that exceed the tolerance standards set by the company. The problems that occur are the types of defects that arise in each process and what causes them, as well as how to minimize the number of defective products. Methods that can be used to identify defects and causes of defects can use the SPC method. Meanwhile, to minimize defective products, you can use FMEA analysis to implement the proposal according to the causes of the most critical defects. The results showed that the most critical types of defects were imperfect welds in the second process and imperfect polishing in the third work station. The cause of defects in the second work station was due to machine setting errors, while the causes of defects were due to the end of the polishing material and the physical condition of the product

Abstract

Rapid development in the business world and increasingly advanced economic development that causes various problems in the industry, but the company does not stop there because in reality there are still products that do not meet the specifications that have been determined or defective products. In the flow of the production process, filling machines experience several defects in the product production process which often experience defects in the pipe production section. From these data can later be identified the most types of defects and the level of characteristics using pareto diagrams, and the cause and effect of the production process. Statistical Process Control (SPC) explains that this tool is used to continuously monitor the production process on an ongoing basis and identify damage that occurs during the production process. Based on the results of the retro diagram, it was concluded that 32.2% of the number of defects in the production of filling machines in pipe product parts, namely leaky pipes. i.e. the process at the operator's work is less than the procedure. Companies have standards but the behavior of workers who lack discipline in carrying out their work during the production process (work method)

Abstract

Noise is still a serious problem. Like other problems, noise can also reduce the quality of life in humans and create a threat of danger to humans. Usually the noise occurs in traffic, and industry. Noise in the workplace must always be controlled to create a safe work area for workers. Problems such as health problems, psychological disorders, and communication disorders are the main problems that need to be controlled. Therefore this study aims to control noise that exceeds the applicable regulations. After leq analysis, the results obtained are operator point 3 = 104 dBA operator point 5 = 95.6 dBA, operator point 2 = 92.4 dBA, operator point 1 = 88.4 dBA, and operator point 4 = 85.5 dBA with an average -average 93.2 dBA . Then the results of the hypothesis test showed a correlation value of -0.885 and a significant value of 0.019 <0.05, which means that there is a negative and significant relationship between noise and productivity

Abstract

The availability of potable raw water can be a difficult problem to fulfill. In the realities found in rural areas, the need for clean water is very important to ensure the quality of health, welfare, and economy of the community. Unpredictable natural factors and rapid population growth lead to an increase in the need for clean drinking water consumption. This analysis uses population data for the last 5 years requested at the village office in Purut Village, Lumbang District, Probolinggo Regency. This research will use several predetermined calculation methods so as to obtain a valid comparison for reference to the calculation of subsequent clean water needs and where from the 3 methods, 1 method was chosen, namely Geometric to be a reference for projected calculations. The purpose of this analysis is to determine the need and availability of clean water in the research location so that further accurate fulfillment planning activities can be carried out. The total clean water demand of Purut Village in 2032 according to the predicted population is 6.88 liters/second, the maximum daily demand is 8.25 liters/second, and the peak hour discharge is 11.00 liters/second. While the demand for clean water in 2032 according to the prediction of the number of each type of customer is 2.48 liters / second, the maximum daily requirement is 4.59 liters / second, and the discharge at peak hours is 6.12 liters / second. With the total demand and availability that is inversely proportional, other alternative raw water must be sought such as the addition of Pump Houses and Reservoirs in Purut Village and its surroundings so that the discharge and spring pressure can be stable and meet the need for clean water.

Abstract

PT Adiprima Suraprinta is a subsidiary of Jawa Pos Group which is located in Sumengko Village, Wringinanom, Gresik. PT. Adiprima Suraprinta was founded in 1997, this factory is one of the industrial companies in Indonesia that produces paper. With paper industry competition being very tight, PT Adiprima Suraprinta needs to innovate and pay attention to the quality of its products to maintain stability in quality in order to become the leading paper company in Indonesia. Based on the results of the research and discussion analysis that has been described, it is known that the production of News Print Paper type newsprint in the 2022 period is 52174 Tons with defective conditions that occur in production of 14633 Tons of copies. The average defect in each production in a one-month period is 30%. in several production times there were defects that exceeded the target of the number of production. The analysis method used is check sheet, control chart, pareto and fishbone. This is based on observations made where damage to newsprint paper occurs during the production process using the company's Paper Mill machine where each machine is run by several operators. Therefore, efforts to overcome the occurrence of defects caused by these factors can be carried out by providing training to workers, creating a new work appraisal system with the aim of motivating workers' performance to be better. Checking the readiness of the machine before and after use so that it is in accordance with operational standards and Immediately replace damaged engine components so that they do not hinder the production process

Abstract

Human resources play an important role for the success of an organization or company system. Because humans are living assets that need special attention by companies. The fact that humans are the main asset in an organization or company, must receive serious attention and be managed as well as possible. This is intended so that the human resources owned by the company are able to provide optimal contributions in efforts to achieve organizational goals. It is in the management of human resources that management is required to be able to manage resources in a systematic, planned and efficient manner. In human resource management, there is also one thing that must be a concern, namely, the occupational safety and health system. Occupational safety and health (K3) issues in general in Indonesia are often neglected. This is indicated by the still high number of work accidents. In Indonesia, especially in the business world that requires a large workforce such as construction projects, occupational health and safety is often ignored with the classic reason by business owners that the costs for occupational health and safety for workers are considered expensive. As is the case with PT. Cahya Indah, which is a company engaged in the construction sector with a large work capacity, it is fitting that the Occupational Health and Safety of workers be considered. Implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) carried out by the construction sector. One example of construction sector activity is at PT. Beautiful Light. PT Cahya Indah is one of the companies in Indonesia engaged in construction. Where this company is engaged in the Rigid Pavement Road Preservation Project Tripe Lamongan Gresik. The road in this project has a long span of 16.5 km, located at stations 27 + 440 - 35 + 100 KM located on Jalan Raya Babat - Lamongan - Gresik, East Java. This study uses the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) method. HIRARC is a process of identifying hazards that can occur in both routine and non-routine activities, which is then carried out by an assessment process based on the identified hazards or risks to determine the high or low value of a risk so as to assist in the control process. Abstract

Safety Guarding is a machine protective equipment that aims to minimize potential hazards contained in Table saw Machine. By reducing potential hazards that can eliminate operator working hours due to work accidents that result in reducing productivity in the Brick Form Department, PT. Technic Fire Fortress. By designing Safety Guarding, it is expected to overcome existing problems, by making direct observations and collecting statistical data on work accidents at PT. Benteng Api Technic as a support for research, conducting concept screening, specification identification, specification determination, prototype trials, and evaluating the results of the application of safety guarding table saw machines to get the expected results.There were 13 cases of work accidents in 2022 at PT. The Technic Fire Fortress due to lack of security on the machines was at risk, resulting in as much as 20 days of total lost work time. The operation  of the Table Saw Machine was diverted to the use of Jigsaw as a woodcutting tool as an effort to reduce the number of work accidents, but the productivity of the Brick Form Department also decreased. With the implementation of safety guarding, namely to restore the original activity on the Table Saw Machine and increase productivity at PT. The previously declining Technic Fire Fortress. So that from this research an effective machine protection concept was produced to dispel unauthorized cases that cause work accidents, dispel material exposure from cutting activities, without reducing the performance of  the Table Saw Machine, increase  user safety and increase the company's reputation

Abstract

Production machines are a vital part owned by a company engaged in manufacturing production, so the company must optimize the use or operation of production machines. Optimization of the production process is also balanced with maintenance that is carried out periodically so that the machine does not experience fatal damage (Corrective Maintenance) which causes maintenance costs to be greater and also interferes with production process activities so that the target demand is not met, As for the purpose of carrying out maintenance, among others, so that the production namely Automatic Nail Machine runs optimally, the company can increase the amount of production, shortening production time, preventing work accidents caused by machines and the production process can run smoothly, the way it is done is by maximizing maintenance by applying the methods owned and also requires better alternative methods. This study uses the method (Age Raplacement) which aims to determine the cost of maintaining machines that have been and will be carried out maintenance, so that researchers can provide alternatives in optimizing the treatment process that can help companies overcome high maintenance costs. After calculating using the Age Replacement method and using minitab18 software, the results obtained before maintenance costs reached Rp. 16,144,000. and after maintenance using the Age raplacement method obtained a decrease in maintenance costs to Rp11,473,401

Abstract

The construction of the South Cross Road Lot.6 in Tulungagung Regency is still in progress with an initial contract value of Rp. 518,708,635,957. - not including VAT. The construction of this road starts from Karanggongso – Nglarap (Trenggalek Regency) for 10,450 km and Nglarap – Klatak (Tulungagung Regency) for 4,414 km. Construction of Drainage channels in the South Cross Road construction project Lot.6 district. Tulungagung is very diverse, ranging from V-ditch and U-ditch work. Due to the complexity of the activities that must be carried out in a construction project, supporting equipment is needed that can speed up data processing quickly, accurately and precisely. The equipment is a computer and its software, one of which uses the Microsoft Project program. For the drainage channel construction project itself, it has a budget plan of Rp. 46,179,268,645.48 with a planned completion of 763 days. The data collection carried out in this study was secondary data from the South Cross Road project Lot.6 Tulungagung Regency in the form of a Budget Plan, Time Schedule, project data and shop drawings. Evaluation is carried out by analyzing the duration of each activity in the drainage canal work and dependency logic based on the PDM analysis in Microsoft Project then analyzing three-time estimates based on the PERT method and analyzing the cost of the project plan based on the PERT analysis. From the evaluation results it was found that the analysis using the PERT method was more efficient with work acceleration of 4 working days with a duration of 759 days, while the costs for this project were in accordance with the plan, because there were no additional resources and materials in the implementation of the project. Based on the critical path analysis in the Microsoft Project, the critical path work is excavation work for drainage channels and also mortar stone work, so that the completion of this project is very dependent on these two works

Abstract

It is the capital of East Java Province. Surabaya is the second largest city in Indonesia after Jakarta. Based on data from the Surabaya City Statistics Center in 2020, the population of Surabaya City is 2,904,751 people. Congestion is one of the problems that occur in cities including the city of Surabaya, the occurrence of congestion due to the accumulation of vehicle volume at certain hours so that it accumulates vehicles which causes a halt in traffic flow at a highway intersection. One of them is the intersection of Jalan Raya Nginden - Jalan Raya Prapen - Jalan Panjang Jiwo - Jalan Jagir Wonokromo.The method used in this study is the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual method in 1997 (MKJI 1997). The author conducted a traffic survey by calculating the number of vehicles passing for 3 days, namely Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during rush hour, namely in the morning at 06.00 – 09.00 WIB, during the day 11.00 – 14.00 WIB and in the afternoon 15.00 – 18.00 WIB. The calculation is carried out per 15 minutes. And itcan be calculated the amount of traffic volume, the capacity of intersections and the magnitude of the degree of saturation, The results showed that the maximum traffic volume at the existing condition of the intersection of Jalan Raya Nginden - Jalan Raya Prapen - Jalan Panjang Jiwo - Jalan Jagir Wonokromo occurred on Wednesday at 15.00 – 18.00 WIB. Jalan Raya Nginden amounted to 1610 smp / hour, Jalan Raya Prapen 1761 smp / hour, Jalan Panjang Jiwo amounted to 1540 smp / hour, Jalan Jagir Wonokromo amounted to 1680 smp / hour. The result of the degree of saturation at each intersection is 0.90
