On the other hand, students who have low motivation will not take learning activities seriously. This study was carried out with the aim of knowing the factors causing the lack of learning motivation of students in the online learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic class X at SMK Negeri 4 Sinjai. This study uses a quantitative research approach with a descriptive type of research. The population in this study were students of class X SMK Negeri 4 Sinjai, with a population of 47 people. Data was collected using various techniques including observation, questionnaires, interviews and also documentation. The data analysis technique used is factor data analysis. The results showed that the factors causing the lack of learning motivation of students during the online learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic were two factors, namely internal and external factors, which were included in internal factors including interest and concentration, intelligence, extracurricular, talent, attitude. which are included in external factors including the family environment, school environment

Abstract

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education is integrated learning between science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to develop students' creativity through problem-solving processes in everyday life. The purpose of this research is to improve the competence of SMAN 3 Sigi teachers in developing STEM-based learning tools through In House Training (iHT) activities in Semester 1 of the 2021/2022 Academic Year. This research is a classroom action research. The research subjects are 10 teachers at SMAN 3 Sigi, while the object of the research is the improvement of teacher competence in developing STEM-based learning tools through iHT activities. While the data collection method used is observation and documentation. Furthermore, data analysis was carried out through three stages, namely reducing data, describing data, and making conclusions. The results of the study indicate that increasing teacher competence in developing STEM-based learning tools through iHT activities that emphasize collaborative consultative methods will provide opportunities for sharing between one principal and teacher as well as teachers and other teachers. The object of the research is the students of class X IPA 3, with a total of 35 students consisting of 17 male students and 18 female students. The method used is two cycles starting with a pre-cycle. Each cycle consists of four stages of activities, namely: (1) planning, (2) implementing actions, (3) observing and evaluating and (4) analyzing and reflecting. The results showed that in the pre-action there were 40% of students who completed and 60% who had not; in the first cycle there are 62.86% of students who have completed and 37, 14% of students who have not completed and in the second cycle there are 85.71% of students who have completed and 14.29% of students who have not. The discussion states that learning by using the virus model can improve the learning outcomes of biological material on the structure of the virus body, which is indicated by the percentage increase that occurred since pre-action, cycle I and cycle II. This is very relevant to the opinion of previous studies. The conclusions obtained in this study are that through the use of the virus model in biology learning in class X IPA 3 SMA Negeri 1 Balikpapan can increase student learning outcomes by 45.71%, namely: in the first cycle by 22.86% and in the second cycle by 22 ,85%.
