Abstract

The distribution of zakat funds comprises both consumptive and productive zakat in addition to the former. The Lamiga (Family Nutrition Pond) and Seel For Charity projects are examples of effective zakat. Utilizing zakat is a way to make the most of it without diminishing its worth or utility, making it effective for achieving social good. The infaq and alms funds itself are distributed through the Creative Center's community empowerment program. The Creative Center, also known as bakre, is a platform for empowerment that supports the development of a sense of community, character, independence, and responsibility that influences the transformation of the country. There are 15 bakre now dispersed throughout Jember Regency. With the help of this creative hub, the locals will feel more empowered, independent, and creative, which will raise their standard of living. At this bakre, there are various activities, including Roda (empowering potential), Tasya (planting family vegetables), Tasjali (collecting used items and protecting the environment), Supermas (supporting the prosperity of the mosque), Mas Rangga (packing baskets for families), and Dasat (health conscious).

Abstract

The phenomenon of fear of being different (xenophobia), which has recently emerged in the global world, has made the issue of hospitality an urgent one to be seriously reviewed. Following Mona Siddique's argument (2015) that the problem of friendliness towards people of other religions actually boils down to a tug-of-war between two factors that attract each other within a person, namely moral factors and legal factors, This paper mainly focuses on discussing how the contestation between these two factors occurs within a student and how it affects their response to issues of hospitality towards others, to anticipate xenophobia among young Muslims in the future. This paper concludes that there is a hierarchy of value systems (represented by moral and legal values) within the students that influence their responses to issues between religious communities in general and hospitality to religious communities in particular. At this point, the potential for santri and Islamic scholarship among mahasantri significantly increases this value system and, in the end, produces very positive implications for their good understanding of hospitality towards non-Muslims

Abstract

This research discusses how four schools of thought and ushul fiqh experts view maslahah murrasa from their perspective as a general benefit that can be applied in certain contexts. This research methodology uses a literature review approach in explaining the principles of maslahah murlah taken from scientific works. The data source for this research comes from digital libraries and consists of books, literature reviews, scientific papers and journals. The criteria for selecting data sources is high relevance to the research topic. This research uses content analysis and thematic techniques to extract information from the literature. The research results show that the benefits that arise in new conditions that are not explicitly explained by Sharia law or certain guidelines are called maslahah murlah. This is goodness that does not have a clear or deep legal basis (dalil), but is supported by many meanings in the texts (verses and hadith). In this situation, the benefit (al-munâsib) is in line with the principles of Sharia law. It is important to note that conformity with sharia actions does not always require support from a proposition that explicitly refers to those benefits. Rather, it can be collective and refer to a collection of propositions indicating definite benefits (qat'î). In cases where this definite postulate has a general meaning (kullî), the strength of the definite kullî postulate is considered to be equivalent to the strength of the particular postulate.
