The objective of JOCRISE as a scholarly bedrock of critical thinking in socio-economic issues and problems comprises abstraction derived from the ontological premise and mapped into the continuum of the socio-economic learning system by the ontological being and becoming of logical formalism. Analytical investigation subsists upon the premise of unity of knowledge as the primal ontology. This approach is further characterized by the objective criterion of simulating global wellbeing in the evolutionary learning metaverses driven in continuum of matter and mind interrelationship by the episteme of unity of knowledge. Being a multidisciplinary scholarly journal of a singular kind in academia, JOCRISE is open to the methodological moral inclusiveness study of diverse issues and problems of the socio-scientific domain. Among this entirety, as few are named here: Theory of critical realism Theory of unity of knowledge Application of the theory of critical realism to socio-economics Theory of social ontology and applications From ontology to epistemology and phenomenology pertaining to socio-scientific problems Theory of multidisciplinary wellbeing of moral inclusiveness in science Evolutionary learning behavior and inter-variate circular causation in simulating wellbeing Islamic methodological worldview of unity of knowledge Application of Islamization of knowledge in socio-economics Sustainability in respect of a comprehensive objective criterion of wellbeing Climate change by socio-economic transformation for the common good Poverty alleviation and socio-economic restructuring Consciousness in socio-scientific structures and choices Pervasively participatory socio-economic development

Abstract

There is mounting evidence that the deployment of digital technologies by organizations not only affects the economics of operational and managerial processes but also mobilizes extensive social and organizational effects. Digitization impacts the form, substance, and provenance of internal accounting information with attendant consequences on the behavior and actions of organizational participants and on the functioning of enterprises more widely. Knowledge about the influence of the deployment of digital technologies on management accounting thinking, processes, and practices is starting to take shape. This article explores some of the issues that are coming to light. The purpose of the study of digital accounting is: to study business modeling, to imagine what it should become for the company to thrive in the market. Solving these problems will give you an understanding of how the digital accounting business makes decisions to survive in the market. In connection with the process of digitization, the economic entities of companies are integrated through mergers and acquisitions. The digitalization of the accounting business requires the existence and renewal of various types of sustainability, which include: economic sustainability, which can be achieved through the creation of development strategies and digital tools. This paper reviews the accounting literature that focuses on four Internet-related technologies that have the potential to dramatically change and disrupt the playing field for accountants and accounting researchers in the near future. These include cloud, big data, blockchain, and artificial intelligence (AI). For instance, access to distributed ledgers (blockchain) and big data supported by cloud-based analytics tools and AI will automate decision making to a large extent. These technologies may significantly improve financial visibility and allow more timely intervention due to the perpetual nature of accounting. However, given the number of tasks of which technology has relieved accountants, these technologies may also lead to concerns about the profession`s legitimacy and the role of accountants. The findings suggest that scholars have not given sufficient attention to these technologies and how these technologies affect the everyday work of accountants. Research is urgently needed to understand the new kinds of accounting required to manage firms in the changing digital economy and to determine the new skills and competencies accountants may need to master to remain relevant and add value. The paper outlines a set of questions to guide future research

Abstract

Professional female athletes have long and bitterly complained that their compensation seriously lags behind that awarded to their male counterparts, and that this situation is unjust. The problem with this argument is that it is based on the labor theory of value, a long-discredited theory that bases worth on inputs rather than outputs. The authors propose a market-based approach whereby male and female athletes are compensated based on what they add to the bottom line. The $24 million dollar lawsuit settlement awarded to the U.S. women’s national soccer (football) team on the basis of discrimination is analyzed from the perspective of economic theory and justice and found to be defective. The arguments used to obtain that settlement are being used in other sports and in other countries to obtain equal pay for women. If this defective line of reasoning is successful, the result will be to actually harm both men’s and women’s sports.

Abstract

Rationally, logically and scientifically unit of measurement and unit of account must be precisely defined quantity of what is measured/accounted. Where such a unit doesn’t exist it ought to be the best available. This is also essential Shariah requirement. Money especially common medium of exchange is measure of value therefore it should be most stable measure of value. Price stability and ease in use as medium of exchange is money-ness (Thamaniah). Therefore common medium of exchange will be highly stable unless manipulated or where people are forced to use it. Monetary manipulation corrupts market mechanism that determine/set just/efficient prices and it is a massive fraud impermissible in Shariah. If government fails to address this problem people must use appropriate standard of value as unit of account. In case of gold and silver coins subject to debasement it is quantity of gold and silver respectively. In case of freely floating fiat money it amounts to accounting in real terms. Riba is measurable excess of quantity. In presence of monetary manipulation, money not being acceptable unit of account appropriate unit of account for money must be used and any excess as accounted will be profit in case the matter relate to profit and Riba in case it relate to lending or payment of dues. Use of appropriate unit of account will resolve most of the related real problems and modes of finance Shariah prefers will become efficient and viable while system of interest will not be able to continue its dominance. This will stifle fraud and corruption and remove basic cause of poverty and deprivation. It will support justice and righteousness and prevent marginalization institutions based on justice

Abstract

Transparent Network Technology (TNT) merges established banking practices with Decentralized Finance (DeFi), prioritizing the reduction of asymmetric information through increased transparency. Unlike the continuous, real-time processing typical in cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, TNT adopts a batch processing approach similar to that traditionally used by banks, where transactions are accumulated throughout the day and processed overnight. This method, employed by banks since the Italian Renaissance, significantly enhances both efficiency and security. We highlight how TNT utilizes the Nash equilibrium concept from game theory to ensure transaction integrity and mitigate prevalent risks such as double-spending in decentralized systems. Furthermore, we explore the legal ramifications of integrating dual signatures in TNT-bank transactions, an additional advantage of batch processing, which establishes these transactions as legally enforceable contracts. By critiquing the limitations of Bitcoin’s framework and illustrating the enhanced capabilities of TNT, we advocate for a paradigm shift in cryptocurrency practices to better align with those of traditional banks, suggesting a model that could redefine money.

Abstract

This paper explores the intersection of Islamic concepts, such as ‘aql (intellect) and taklīf (legal responsibility), with the experiences of neurodivergent individuals, particularly those with autism. It argues for a re-evaluation of traditional Islamic understandings of disability to incorporate modern perspectives on neurodiversity. The research highlights that high-functioning autistic individuals possess the capacity to engage with religious obligations and that Islamic practices can be adapted to accommodate their unique needs. By advocating for an inclusive approach, the paper calls for a dialogue between classical Islamic jurisprudence and contemporary insights into neurodiversity, aiming to foster a supportive environment for neurodivergent Muslims within their communities. Ultimately, it seeks to provide a framework for understanding neurodiversity through an Islamic lens, promoting both spiritual engagement and social inclusion.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper, is to demonstrate how capitalism as a system, is not required for the real economy but in fact, constitutes a parasitic superstructure that is causing socio-ecological necrosis. Consequently, credible systemic solutions to our global social and ecological crises should integrate sound awareness of pathological structures that are detrimental to a healthy socio-economic metabolism. As critical realism results in ethical imperatives from these findings, prosocial orthosociology presents systemic solutions. Project Free-B offers the possibility for a global interest-free financial system, beyond the need for the BIS-central banking system. The current global interest-banking system under BIS-regulation should be abolished as an institutionalised criminal system. On scrutiny, it proves to be socio-ecologically destructive by design and hence, constitutes a systemic violation of human rights.

Abstract

In this paper, we revisit Blaise Pascal's famous wager and explore its implications for belief in God, particularly through the lens of probability theory. While Pascal's Wager has been widely discussed in philosophical and theological circles, we approach this challenge from a distinctly different perspective. Our backgrounds are in mathematical economics, finance, and computer science, with extensive experience applying mathematics—particularly probability theory—to real-world problems in financial markets, specifically in the domain of statistical arbitrage on Wall Street. Over the past 30 years, we have developed a deep understanding of probability not as an abstract mathematical tool, but as a concrete and practical method for managing uncertainty in financial systems. In this paper, we apply similar probabilistic reasoning to the question of belief in God. Our conclusion can be summarized by an adaptation of the logical principle: "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth." — Arthur Conan Doyle, The Sign of the Four
