Abstract

The book Hujjah Ahlussunah Wal Jama’ah by K.H. Ali Maksum Krapyak has gained widespread recognition as a primary reference in affirming the worship practices of the Nahdlatul Ulama group. Although this book is often used to support arguments against bid’ah practices, it actually contains texts that teach moderate values. The GP. Ansor organization, as an autonomous body of Nahdlatul Ulama focused on campaigns for unity, religious tolerance, and appreciation of differences, needs to understand that the studied book not only explains the literal meaning of texts but also conveys specific messages. This article aims to identify moderate religious texts in the book Hujjah Ahlussunah Wal Jama’ah, examine the implementation of teaching from the book, and reflect on the outcomes of this instruction. The community service method employs the Service Learning approach, establishing a connection between the academic community and academic tasks, with the goal of serving the community while developing academic and social skills through practical tasks in society. Through the service learning strategy, academics have the opportunity to develop life skills by imparting values acquired through the taught material to the community. The research results indicate that moderate religious texts in the book Hujjah Ahlussunah Wal Jama’ah are found in eight chapters, such as: Sending the Reward of Recitation, Charity and Righteous Deeds for the Deceased, Sunnah Prayers before Jumu'ah, Talqin for the Deceased, Tarawih Prayer, Determining the Beginning of Ramadan, Visiting Graves, the Punishment of the Grave, and Visiting the Prophet's Tomb. The teaching process of the book occurs in three stages: pre-implementation, implementation, and post-implementation. Reflection on the program's results encompasses four main points: the importance of religious moderation, the crucial role of Kiai in moderation, the significance of studying the book Hujjah Ahlussunah Wal Jama'ah, and the vital role of GP. Ansor.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the concept of polyamory behavior in marriage from the perspective of applicable law in Indonesia. Methodologically, this research uses a qualitative method with a normative approach supported by a literature study that examines polyamory in the perspective of Indonesian positive law, with data collection through the study of scientific journals, books, and previous legal documents. The results show that polyamory behavior in the context of marriage is not in line with the concept of monogamous marriage commonly embraced by Indonesian society. Therefore, from a legal perspective, polyamory behavior has no legality and contradicts the principle of monogamy as stipulated in Law Number 1 Year 1974 and the Civil Code. The theoretical implication shows that law functions as a tool to regulate community behavior in order to achieve social stability. Practically, this study provides an overview of how Indonesian law responds to polyamory behavior. This article contributes to the development of an understanding of polyamory behavior in marriage, from the perspective of positive law in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to comprehensively investigate the preparation for implementing mandatory halal regulations for food and beverage products in Indonesia. This research also examines the role of international law in promoting the balance of the Islamic global economy in member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. This research employs a normative legal research method, utilizing a statutory approach. The primary legal materials used include the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, Law No. 23 of 1992, Law No. 7 of 1996, Law No. 6 of 1967, Law No. 8 of 1999, Law No. 33 of 2014, Government Regulation No. 31 of 2019, and Law No. 39 of 2021. Data collection techniques used literature studies, and data analysis was carried out using qualitative descriptive methods. The results showed that the regulation of mandatory halal certification for food and beverage products in Indonesia is regulated in Law Number 33 of 2014, Government Regulation Number 31 of 2019, and Law Number 39 of 2021. Preparation for the implementation of this mandatory halal regulation is a legal requirement to ensure peace and comfort for the public when consuming or using halal products. This study also found that, when implemented appropriately, international legal policies can foster Islamic economic growth in OIC countries. Some countries, such as Malaysia and Turkey, have successfully adopted and enforced international law, thereby improving banking stability and attracting foreign investment. This study concludes that Law No. 33/2014 guarantees the availability of halal products, and the government is obligated to foster and supervise the guarantee of halal products. On October 17, 2024, the first phase of halal obligation for food products, beverages, slaughter services, and slaughter products will be enforced throughout Indonesia. Therefore, support from the public and businesses in Indonesia is needed to increase public awareness of the importance of halal certificates. Furthermore, while there are challenges in harmonizing domestic policies with international standards, international law offers immense opportunities. With an inclusive and collaborative approach, OIC countries can capitalize on these opportunities to achieve a sustainable and inclusive Islamic economic equilibrium. Support from international and regional organizations is crucial in strengthening the capacity of OIC countries to implement international law effectively.
