Abstract

Background: The first 1000 Days of Life, spanning from pregnancy until the child is two years old, is a crucial phase for human capital quality. Fetal nutritional status relies heavily on maternal intake during pregnancy, while postnatally, breast milk serves as the primary source of nutrition. Nutritional deficiencies during gestation and suboptimal breastfeeding practices can negatively impact physical growth (stunting) and cognitive development in toddlers (aged 1-2 years). Method: This study employed an observational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of mothers and children aged 1-2 years in Mojo Village, Kalitidu District, Bojonegoro Regency. A sample of 30 respondents was selected using purposive sampling. Pregnancy diet data were collected using pregnancy history questionnaires, breastfeeding data via questionnaires, growth was assessed through anthropometry (Weight-for-Age, Height-for-Age), and development was measured using the Pre-Screening Developmental Questionnaire (KPSP). Data analysis was conducted using the multiple linear regression test. Result: Statistical tests using multiple linear regression tests obtained a p-value = 0.000 < 0.05, so H0 is rejected, and H1 is accepted, which means it can be concluded that there is a relationship between breastfeeding and maternal diet during pregnancy with the growth and development of children aged 1-2 years. Conclusion: There is a positive relationship between breastfeeding and maternal diet during pregnancy with the growth and development of children aged 1-2 years. Nutritional interventions must commence during the prenatal period and continue with proper lactation management.

Abstract

Background: Patient safety is a primary focus in healthcare services, particularly in the early detection of clinical deterioration among hospitalized patients. Delays in identifying signs of critical conditions may increase the risk of cardiac arrest, disability, and even death. The Early Warning System (EWS) is an instrument used to efficiently and accurately detect patient deterioration through structured monitoring of vital parameters. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the implementation of EWS and the early detection of emergency conditions in hospitalized patients. Method: This research employed a descriptive correlation design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample of 60 nurses with a total sample. Data were collected using observation instruments assessing EWS implementation and early detection capability. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test. Results showed that most nurses demonstrated a moderate level of EWS implementation (61.6%), while the ability for early detection of emergency conditions was predominantly in the good category (71.6%). The Chi-Square test revealed a significant relationship between EWS implementation and early detection ability with a p-value of 0.001 (p < 0.05). This indicates that the more optimal the EWS implementation, the faster and more accurate nurses are in recognizing clinical deterioration. Conclusion: The importance of consistent EWS application as a preventive measure against critical events in patients. Hospitals are encouraged to strengthen training programs, supervision, and support facilities to optimize EWS performance and enhance patient safety outcomes.

Abstract

Background: Occupational Safety and Health (OHS) services are a crucial aspect in creating a safe and healthy work environment, especially in hospitals that have a high potential for physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic, and psychosocial hazards. The Hospital OHS Service is one of the efforts to improve the quality of Hospital services, particularly in terms of health and safety for hospital staff, patients, visitors/patient escorts, and the surrounding community. According to the guidelines of the Minister of Health Regulation No. 66 of 2016 concerning Hospital Occupational Safety and Health, it is stated that OHS Service efforts must be implemented in all workplaces, especially workplaces that have a risk of health hazards and are easily infected by disease. Method: Observational with a cross-sectional study approach Result: The results of the study showed that there was a significant relationship between knowledge (p=0.000), training (p=0.000), workload (p=0.012), and length of service (p=0.003) with the implementation of occupational health and safety at Hospital X. Conclusion: It is hoped that employees will always follow the hospital's occupational health and safety guidelines so that in carrying out their duties work accidents can be avoided..
