Abstract

This study examined the contemporary challenges, contextual realities, and transformative prospects surrounding the subject under investigation, highlighting its significance to societal progress, institutional efficiency, and sustainable national development. Anchored on clearly defined research objectives, the study adopted a qualitative and quantitative methodological approach, drawing on primary insights and reputable secondary data sourced from the National Bureau of Statistics, Central Bank of Nigeria, and other authoritative publications. The findings revealed that despite the strategic relevance of the sector, progress remains hindered by weak policy implementation, limited capacity, inadequate funding, and fragmented institutional coordination, all of which continue to constrain meaningful outcomes. However, the analysis equally demonstrated that tangible improvement is achievable through data-driven planning, strengthened governance structures, stakeholder collaboration, and enhanced public awareness supported by evidence-based reforms. The conclusion therefore underscores the need for a collective commitment to accountability, transparency, and inclusive participation in order to deliver long-term impact and sustainable development. Consequently, the study recommends comprehensive policy enforcement by government, curriculum and professional reforms within institutions, stronger judicial and legislative backing, community-focused advocacy by civil society organisations, increased technical support from international partners, and the mobilisation of public awareness by the media. Ultimately, the study contributes to the growing body of knowledge and offers a practical framework for strengthening institutional performance and advancing national development objectives in Nigeria and beyond.

Abstract

The near-sacred caution surrounding the study of early Muslim feuds, while understandable, has become counterproductive. It stems from an outdated, individual-centered notion of history that equates inquiry with accusation. As long as Muslims remain bound by this paradigm, they will continue to treat one of the most formative periods of their civilization as a forbidden zone. A shift toward structural analysis offers a way forward. By focusing on institutions, conceptual understandings, socio-economic forces, and historical contingencies rather than personal blame, Muslims can reclaim their past as a source of insight rather than anxiety. This approach neither diminishes the sahaba nor threatens unity; it honors their struggle by situating it within the complex reality of a community both divinely guided and profoundly human.

Abstract

Over centuries, microorganisms have puzzled microbiologists due to their wonders. This descriptive qualitative study adopted Thematic Approach and Synoptic Approach to unravel how Qur'an allude to these wonders. Tafsir Ibn Kathir was used for preliminary interpretation of identified verses. Data concerning wonders of microorganisms were screened from online databases. The preposition مِن (part of) used in the phrase لَا يَعْزُبُ عَنْهُ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَلَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا أَصْغَرُ مِن ذَٰلِكَ وَلَا أَكْبَرُ إِلَّا فِي كِتَابٍ مُّبِينٍ (not even the weight of a speck of dust or less than that or greater escapes His knowledge in the heavens or in the earth but it is in a Clear Book) of Qur’an, 61:10, as used in Qur’an, 34:3, allude that, even microorganisms and their tiniest particles that makes them, are within Allah’s knowledge. This modest contribution may help people to ponder on presence, greatness, and glory of Allah (S.W.T).

Abstract

The Miraculous Impact (al-I'jaz al-Ta'thiri) represents a profound facet of the Qur’an's miracle, manifesting as an irresistible impact on every listener or reader, transcending background or belief. This phenomenon encompasses both apparent and subtle effects on the human heart—simultaneously instilling tranquillity and awe, beauty and majesty. The unique convergence of such contrasting emotions within a single text confirms the Qur’an's divine origin and affirms Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) message. This study examines the nature of this miraculous impact (its essence, mechanism, and purpose), its psychological and social impact, and its vital role in serving the Arabic language. Employing a descriptive-analytical methodology, it examines Qur’anic verses to analyse the relationship between their linguistic elegance and psychological influence, tracing how the Quran employs Arabic's expressive capacities in innovative contexts. The research hypothesis is that the Prophet utilised this inimitability as a fundamental da'wah tool; its impact transcends human states; scholars historically recognised it as proof of divine origin; and the Quran captivates through irrefutable evidence that overwhelms mere debate. Findings confirm that the Qur’an's miraculous impact was crucial to Arabic, ensuring its preservation and enriching its grammatical, morphological, and rhetorical sciences. The Qur’an's supreme eloquence and artistic imagery elevated Arabic from a regional language to a global civilizational medium capable of bearing its multidimensional discourse. This demonstrates an organic connection between the Qur’an and Arabic, where miraculous impact served not only theological purposes but also secured the language's enduring vitality as a vessel for the Islamic message to humanity.

Abstract

This research attempts to explain the state of the heavens on the Day of Resurrection and what will happen there, based on what is mentioned in the verses of the Holy Quran. The reason for choosing this topic is that the Quran describes the state of the heavens on the Day of Resurrection in various ways. Therefore, we wanted to clarify and explain the meaning of those descriptions. We began the research by discussing the heavens and what was said about them in the Quran as a general introduction. Then we discussed the state of the heavens at the time of the Hour and the descriptions mentioned in the Holy Quran, treating each description as a separate topic. Finally, in two other sections, we discussed the timing of those disturbances and what will happen then. Then we concluded the research with a conclusion and results of the research in which we mentioned what we reached from this study. We ask God that we have been successful in presenting the topic, and we ask God to make this study purely for His noble sake.

Abstract

This article discusses Mustafa Sabri's critical perspective on political secularism, focusing on the dangers, nature, and consequences of the separation of religion and state. Mustafa Sabri, a prominent Muslim in the first half of the 20th century, sharply criticized the ideology of secularism, and revealed that the ideology is not only an ideological deviation, but also an evil plan to abandon religion. Mustafa Sabri identified the essence of secularism as the separation between Islamic governance and religious principles, described religion as the loss of authority over governance, and pointed out negative consequences such as the loss of morality and degradation of values. This paper provides a detailed overview of Mustafa Sabri's views on political secularism, discusses his critique of the dangers of secularism, explains in detail the nature of the separation of religion and state, and describes the possible negative impacts for Islam. This paper is useful for those who want to understand the Islamic perspective on political secularism

Abstract

This study offers a comprehensive analytical review of Mohammed and Mohammedanism, combining Reginald Bosworth Smith’s 1874 Royal Institution lectures and Emanuel Deutsch’s influential essay “Islam.” Through historical contextualisation, textual analysis, and comparative reflection, the review reassesses nineteenth-century European interpretations of the Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh), the Qur’an, and Islamic civilisation. The findings demonstrate that Smith and Deutsch pioneered a more balanced, evidence-based understanding that challenged prevailing polemical narratives. Their work highlights Muhammad’s (Pbuh) moral integrity, the Qur’an’s linguistic and literary uniqueness, and Islam’s substantial intellectual and civilisational contributions. This study situates their writings within broader Orientalist discourse while underscoring their lasting significance for modern scholarship on interreligious understanding, textual interpretation, and the historiography of Islam.

Abstract

In the last few decades, gender issues have taken hold of important discussion in the local and international organization despite the fact that Islam has a distinctive view on gender and sexuality compared to other religions and cultures. One of the gender issues with bone of contention is transgender through which masculinity is transferred to femininity and vice versa. This paper therefore attempts to examine this concept among other issues on gender and sexualities as it is becoming the order of the day among the youths in the contemporary Nigerian Society. This is done with a view to using the Hadith of the Prophet recorded in Sahihu 'l-Muslim to address the issue from a religious perspective. The paper employs historical and analytical methods of research. Historical method accounts for the biography of Imam Muslim and brief information of his sahih while analytical is used in analyzing the Hadith in Satitu l-Muslim in relation to transgender. The study reveals that transgender people are as a result of excessive freedom of man to do anything he wants. It also reveals that the act of effeminating and emasculating is strictly detested in Islam. It thus concludes by proffering likely solutions to the issue of transgender in Nigeria in the light of the Prophet's tradition among which are banning of cross dressing, banishing the transgender person from the society and also constraining the influence of transgender in the society.

Abstract

Organ transplantation has become one of the important developments in modern medicine; saving the lives, as well as improving the quality of life of many patients. As the demand for organ transplantation far exceeds the organ availability, the transplant program is often saddled with complex legal and ethical issues. The present paper is a humble attempt to evaluate this issue in the light of Islamic law. The sources of Islamic law are discussed in brief to see how the parameters of organ transplantation are derived. The advantages and disadvantages of cadaveric donation are reviewed with technical and ethical considerations. The paper will also discuss the concept of rewarded donation as a way to alleviate the shortage of organs available for transplantation.
