Abstract

This study examines the phenomenon of cyberbullying on social media through a contextual approach, focusing on the interpretation of relevant Qur'anic verses and their application to modern digital behavior. The research identifies that the majority of cyberbullying cases on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and TikTok take the form of verbal harassment, including flaming, impersonation, trickery, and denigration. The research method is library research, with primary data sourced from the Qur'anic term “sakhara” (humiliating or mocking), This term is further interpreted using both classical and contemporary exegeses. The paradigm used is contextual hermeneutic approach. The results of this study show that: 1) Cyberbullying on social media is found on Instagram, Facebook, X, and TikTok. The cyberbullying patterns in the majority of social media are verbal harassment with the aim of insulting and humiliating someone. 2) The term sakhara is the root word that is closest to the meaning of cyberbullying because it has insulting and degrading meanings. The the word sakhara is mentioned 32 times in the Qur'an. Three main verses are selected to be discussed: Q. S. al-Hujurat [49]:11, Q. S. at-Taubah [9]:79, and Q.S. al-An’am [6]:10. The verses reveal a clear prohibition against mocking and degrading others. These verses highlight the importance of maintaining respect and dignity, even in the face of mockery, and the need for resilience and faith in the face of such challenges. The study concludes that insults and mockery should not be normalized, as they can lead to harmful consequences, including the emergence of cyberbullying, which has significant negative effects on individuals.

Abstract

Women rights violation is a common phenomenon in the world be it developed, developing and under developed country. If we closely observe the life of our prophet and Islamic culture we will find that there is no place of violence against women in Islam. Although Bangladesh is predominantly a Muslim country there are wide spread violence and abuse of women human rights in Bangladesh. None of the violence and women rights abuse are sanctioned by Islam. Non-Islamic culture has been infiltrated into Islam and this culture provokes women’s rights violation. Strict adherence to prophetic teachings and observance of Islamic culture can stop women rights violation and uphold women rights in Bangladesh.

Abstract

Because the sacred texts, encompassing the Qur'an and the Testaments, offer paramount insights into the realization of human excellence and given the Qur'an's authenticity and its complementary nature to preceding scriptures, our study delves into discerning verses from the Qur'an, consulting the perspectives of philosophers and thinkers, and delving into the narratives of divine prophets – who exemplify perfected intellects. The Quran's timeless relevance and universal messages have influenced the development of human intellect across diverse cultures and civilizations. By examining the profound lessons and moral values conveyed through these stories, we can gain a deeper understanding of the perfection of human intellect and its enduring relevance in today's world. Through this exploration, we unveil a sequential progression in the development of human cognition, consisting of distinct phases: Sensory Perception, Apprehension, imaginalization, intellection, and Intuition. As we meticulously examine the accounts of the prophets as recounted from Adam to the seal of prophethood, it becomes evident that these cognitive and intellectual stages have been manifested in the world through these divine messengers. Much like the narratives of the prophets within the Qur'an, human intellects must initially contend with apprehensions, then transition away from their hold, and subsequently engage in a battle against these apprehensions at the opportune moment, triumphing over them. This iterative process enables the intellect to reach its zenith of refinement and perfection, guided by the teachings of the prophets and the constructive, regulatory counsel of these profoundly sanctified and inherently sublime beings, ultimately progressing toward the state of Intuition. The fundamental objective of our inquiry lies in exploring the advancement of human intellect by emulating the archetypal portrayals of the divine prophets found in the Qur'an.

Abstract

Allāh Almighty has sent down the noble Qur’ān to be a guidance and a way of life for all mankind, and He has enacted in its rules and commandments that are used to preserve the religion, Life, Intellect, Lineage, and Property. The problem of this research arises that some people are indifferent to the physical and psychological harm resulting from their consumption of forbidden foods. Hence, this research tries to shed light on the types of forbidden foods within the frame of Surat Al-Māʼidah for verses (3, 90, 95, 96) and find out their relation with the infection of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). To investigate this topic, this study uses the inductive, analytical and the deductive approaches. The findings presented in this article are the outcomes of a thematic analysis of Qur'ānic verses related to the forbidden foods. The study identifies five types of forbidden foods: (1) The slaughtering animals not in accordance with Sharia Law, (2) The uses and the drinking of the fresh blood, (3) The consumption of any product contains any element of Pork, (4) All Alcoholic beverages and (5) Any scarified animals not meant to Allāh Almighty. Besides, it comes to conclude that many physical diseases and psychological disorders stem from the consumption of forbidden foods; such as a weak immune system, high or low blood pressure, cancer, liver damage, kidney problems, high cholesterol, psychological problems, depression, despair, anxiety, stress, and so forth. Therefore, this study will contribute to revealing the high positive relationship between diseases resulting from consuming forbidden foods and the grave cases of people infected with Covid-19. Finally, it suggests to spread more awareness towards the Ḥalāl logo in Muslim communities and around the world; to maintain the use of Ḥalāl food, which is in the interest of oneself and society.

Abstract

. The manifestations of notables in the contemporary political field have become more established, especially the notables of tribes who were more closely connected to the people, so some of them exploited their relationship with the people in an outrageous manner to reach political positions and win the electoral bet. We also record the migration of notables to political positions at the expense of social functions and their societal reform and cultural tasks, perhaps in response to the brilliance of politics or of course in achieving their economic goals or managing their enterprises by gaining the relationships of officials and their companionship in preparation for tax evasion. We also record that the orientalists were confused and did not agree on the meaning of notables and their tasks throughout history according to the degree of bias they had and the intended purpose behind the study.

Abstract

This research examines the concept of the Hijab (veil) from both Quranic and scholarly perspectives, with a particular focus on its role in promoting justice and equity. Utilizing a qualitative research methodology, the study draws on primary sources, including key Quranic verses such as Surah An-Nur (24:31) and Surah Al-Ahzab (33:59), which provide foundational principles regarding modesty, dignity, and ethical conduct. Secondary sources, including books, journal articles, and online publications, are analyzed to contextualize scholarly interpretations and explore the broader significance of the Hijab. An interpretive research approach is employed to uncover the multifaceted meanings of the Hijab as a spiritual, social, and ethical practice. Classical and contemporary Islamic scholars’ perspectives are critically examined to highlight the Hijab’s dual function as a personal act of devotion and a societal symbol of identity and respect. The findings demonstrate that the Hijab is deeply rooted in Islamic teachings, reflecting principles of justice, equity, and mutual respect. Furthermore, the study addresses prevalent misconceptions about the Hijab and its association with gender roles, illustrating its broader implications within Islamic thought. This research contributes to a nuanced understanding of the Hijab, emphasizing its enduring relevance and its role in fostering justice and equity within contemporary Muslim societies.

Abstract

Kalᾱm and Its Relevance in the Muslim Scholarship of Religion is both an academic intervention and a theological invitation. It calls on Muslim scholars to reclaim their rich heritage of reasoned faith, to revisit the tools of Kalᾱm with renewed vigour, and to engage with other religious traditions not from a place of insecurity but from a confident and principled commitment to truth. This book is a must-read for scholars of Islamic theology, students of comparative religion, and anyone concerned with interfaith dialogue. It bridges the gap between Usul al-Din, Kalᾱm and modern religious studies, not by diluting Islamic principles but by reaffirming their relevance in a world that desperately needs more principled, informed, and compassionate conversations across faiths.
